Looking south, the other day, into Washington from 0 Avenue. The Blueberries are coming into leaf. This huge field surrounds a wood lot of trees, complete with Eagles nests.

I shot this photo of the Eiffel Tower from the Jardin des Trocadéro. When I got there, the fountains were empty, though. A few people ran around in some of the empty basins. I also ventured into one of the upper, to get a different angle. When I had shot what I wanted, I continued towards the Eiffel Tower itself, and while walking, the fountains suddenly filled with water. So glad, it was not, while I was standing with my camera equipment in one ogf them! I hope no one got wet feet.

A solitary figure pauses beneath a sweeping, high-contrast sky, tracing the stark topography of the rugged terrain. Part of an ongoing exploration into isolation, scale, and the quiet weight of the landscape.
Camera / Technical Notes: Captured with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, working entirely in manual to preserve the raw, textural depth of the natural light and shadow play across the valley.
Last light at the heights of the Black Forest during a foggy autumn's day. Some times it is worth to wait for the sun in the cold.
Thanks for coming and have a nice evening!

I left Perthshire on a very bright blue-skied day - the opposite of what any landscape photographer wants. I knew I could rely on Glencoe and the surrounding west of scotland - I was born in rain! Without even checking the foercast, this is what I saw when I got here. Rain was unrelating, dry for maybe 2-3 mins max at a time, I knew it was risky to fly, what with upwards of 30mph gusty winds and the pending rain showers, but did it anyway, sometimes he who dares, wins.
A quick handheld shot from yesterday's recce visit to the Lake District. Had to be quick, my wife was with me!
The stone circle at Castlerigg near Keswick, North West England. It was constructed as part of the megalithic tradition that lasted from 3,300 to 900 BC, during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Ages.
A moment suspended between memory and history.
Eighty years after D-Day, these aircraft return to the sky not as machines of war, but as witnesses to a generation whose courage changed the course of history.
An old, broken down shack on Montana's prairie outside of the small town of Winifred.
UPDATE (10/12/2014): I drove by this same shack last week and saw a man standing next to it. I wondered what he was doing. When I returned from my trip down that rural Montana road this shack and fallen down. I was a little sad.

If you are ever near Swiss Pantry in Belvidere, Tennessee, I suggest stopping and try their pies. They are homemade heaven! We stopped but I was too interested in my bought goods and forgot to take a photo. So as we were passing on the way back I snapped a cell shot. Not too bad for a drive by shot, the sky was amazing too...so here it is.
Great view from a lookout tower on Mogielica. Heavy dark gray clouds but with spots of light between. As seen on this open part of a forest clearing.
As a landscape photographer, I don’t really want wind turbines in my photos, but sometimes I don’t have a choice, especially as every time I go up a mountain more seem to keep appearing on the horizon. Instead, I’m going to focus on that moody sky, which was the reason I pressed the shutter in the first place.
Have you ever noticed that a valley exists beneath most peaks? Maybe that is just the way it is supposed to be.

Reflections of the cloudy red sky on a pool of water at Cronulla Beach, taken at sunrise on 12/5/2012.
The colours of the sky has been really amazing, it's like it's on fire...fury red!

A view of the Greek Orthodox Church of St Leonard in Ludlow, Shropshire. The distinctive Byzantine-style dome and gold cross stand out beautifully against the distant, purple-hued slopes of the Shropshire hills.
The composition highlights the layers of Ludlow's architecture, from contemporary brickwork to the weathered stone of the church, all set beneath a dynamic and brooding late-February sky.

Majestic mountains rise into the sky, their snow-covered peaks shrouded in dense clouds. The rugged rock formations contrast with the soft blue of the sky and the fluffy clouds, while the deep green forests in the foreground create a picturesque backdrop. The interplay of light on the mountains enhances the dramatic atmosphere and captures the raw beauty of the alpine landscape.
