When I looked back the shots I took in 2015, I found this is the best sunset I will never forget. Share the HDR image one more time to pray for the best in 2016.
這天應該是2015運氣最好的一天,希望2016也能有這天的好運啊!雖然昨天沒衝,已經扼腕錯失大景了!

A quiet vessel rests between night and day,
held gently by a horizon set on fire.
In that stillness, the world exhales —
and time pauses, just long enough to be felt.

Storm clouds building over the ridge behind Troddenvale at Oakley Farm, a cidery tucked into Warm Springs, Virginia. The kind of sky that makes you glance up mid-conversation and just stop talking for a second. Farm buildings, a hillside, and weather rolling in — sometimes that's the whole story.
Some sunsets don’t ask to be watched.
They ask you to stand still… and feel everything.

Great, dramatic skies from morning to evening today. While walking one way on the Tucson Loop Trail (137 miles long) we were heading into a glorious sunset and the other way led right to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Too funny, hadn't even noticed it, as we walked toward the sunset. Then someone coming the other way told us to turn around and take a look see. What a wonderful surprise!
I quite often come across interesting skies in the afternoon from my office window. I grab my camera and instantly capture various shots, yet I rarely find the time to properly develop them. This particular image, among dozens of others, caught my attention again after 2 entire decades, and I finally decided to give it the care it deserved. Natural colors with minimal adjustments.
The weather the day we visited the Fairy Glen on the Isle of Skye was really crazy changing from sunshine with gorgeous skies, within a half hour or so, changing to rain showers then they would pass and the skies were sunny once again. But that didn't impact our visit to the Fairy Glen. The rain helped to clear a lot of people away from the Glen, so I was able to capture this fantastic photo of the amazing landscape. It's a stunningly beautiful and magical place.

A few minutes after the last photo, I stepped back and let the sky take over. Same farm, same hillside, but pulled wide enough that the storm became the actual subject rather than the backdrop. There's something about watching weather build over a place like this — you can practically feel the pressure dropping.
Along the quiet margin where the untamed earth surrenders to the gathering dusk, a solemn stillness descends upon the expanse. Above the shadowed ground, the firmament fractures into a tempest of smoldering ochre and brooding slate, as the last stubborn ember of daybreak’s twin peers through the tangled silhouettes on the horizon. Fragile, earthbound constellations trace a silent course across the gloom, guiding the wandering eye toward a weathered demarcation where time itself seems to hesitate before crossing into the unknown.
There is an unspoken reverence in this fleeting interlude, a suspended breath between the warmth of memory and the chill of the approaching night. The skeletal boughs and dense foliage stand like ancient sentinels along the border, guarding a realm where silence speaks louder than the wind. Once that final, distant spark is swallowed by the advancing obscurity, the threshold closes upon itself, leaving only the echo of a forgotten elegy lingering in the damp evening air.
he rides through both versions of the port. in the puddle, the bicycle wheel turns upside down. the birds are also in the water. the man with crossed arms is watching something that isn’t the cyclist. the sky has arranged itself twice. the port doesn’t notice any of this.
on the way back to the car - this was the last stile I had to climb over and just after closing the car door the heavens opened again..
Sunrise mirrored in calm waters of small Molyvos harbor Molyvos (ancient Mithymna) is located at the northern tip of the island of Lesbos and is considered one of the most picturesque destinations in Greece. Its houses, built amphitheatrically on a hillside, facing the "north" of the Aegean, combine the robustness of the stone folk houses with the neoclassical elegance or Venetian influences of mansions and public buildings - all evenly covered with red tiled roofs - and provide a unique graphic set, completely different from the Cycladic style. The Greek Ministry of Culture has rightly declared Molivos as a protected traditional settlement with very strict building rules. If we add to this all the wonderful, well-preserved Byzantine castle that "crowns" the settlement and the hurried waters of the small harbor, which mirror and double this beauty, we understand the magic that the happy visitor of the place feels and that there is no one who has visited Molivos and does not want to come back there!
