The title is dramatic because I'm hooked in Noah Cyrus. This is a mundane self portrait behind the shed. A moment in time that will slowly become a grain of sand in time. A grain of sand in my memory that will get lost. I don't remember what I did that day. It was work and I spent time with Minik outside (my cat) and that was it. Another day lived.

A rare day off work today so headed along to Eastbourne pier to check out the Wednesday market.
The market was very dissapointing for pictures so headed back to the beach to do some good old fashioned long exposures.
Got a few good shots of the pier including this one which includes the pebbles,sea and sky.
I used the special ability of my Manfrotto tripod to get my camera very low to the floor to include as many pebbles as possible and get that low down perspective.
This is an exposure of 120 seconds thanks to my Hitech Pro Stopper and Lee 0.9 ND Grad.

This was my first time using a red filter and I was looking for dramatic high contrast images that would be even more dramatic with the filter. Some of my shots worked and others didn't. I really like the style though so will no doubt do more with the red filter.
A dramatic sky surrounds the dome of Saint Paul's Cathedral in London.
St Paul's Cathedral, London, is a Church of England cathedral and seat of the Bishop of London. Its dedication to Paul the Apostle dates back to the original church on this site, founded in AD 604.
The present church dating from the late 17th century was built to an English Baroque design of Sir Christopher Wren, as part of a major rebuilding program which took place in the city after the Great Fire of London.

This breathtaking landscape captures nature's most spectacular theater - a towering cumulonimbus cloud formation illuminated by golden sunset light. The massive cloud structure dominates the frame with its billowing, cotton-like texture, painted in brilliant shades of amber, orange, and coral against a deep blue evening sky. Wispy cirrus clouds streak across the upper atmosphere, creating dynamic leading lines. The foreground features a serene lake with gentle ripples reflecting the warm light, bordered by silhouetted bare trees that add depth and scale to the composition. The contrast between the dark tree line and luminous sky creates perfect balance. Shot during the magical golden hour, this image showcases the raw power and beauty of atmospheric phenomena. This photo was taken by a Minolta Autocord Seikosha-MX (Chiyoko) TLR using Chiyoko Rokkor 1:3.5 and 1:3.2 f=75 lenses with a 49mm Hoya R72 Infrared filter attached to a 30mm to 49mm bayonet TLR adapter using Rollei IR 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.
A shot taken at One Fullerton area, in the morning of the same day with the previous shot. It was drizzling when we reached there with some dramatic cloud formation. When the rain got smaller, I quickly setup my gear to take a few shots before the cloud went off.
The warm tone is due to the warm cast of my ND filter. I made used of it to get the final image.

A vast and glorious sunset sky over the calm, placid, boat-studded waters of the Glenmore Reservoir, on a glorious late summer evening last day.
This was near the end of an amazing day; we packed a picnic lunch, got to the huge Glenmore Reservoir around 11 AM, took the dogs for a huge, long hike, had our lunch on a blanket on the grass, rented a boat, sailed around the reservoir for a while, and then, when it started to get around sunset time, climbed the hill, watched / photographed the sunset, and then headed over to the nearby Heritage Park (a historical site where you can see what Calgary was like in the olden days) for a walk and a nice dinner...truly one of the best days of last summer!
After the previous day's rain it was a relief to have this storm pass over; sharing it's beauty but keeping it's rain for points East.
Usually, I wouldn't waste pixels on a pair of NS Dash-9s, but the sun peeked out for a few seconds, illuminating a momentary snow flurry to create a dramatic scene. I guess the CNW style 'E' signals back there don't hurt either.

Dark, swirling storm clouds loom over a quiet suburban neighborhood, casting an eerie shadow over the scene. The contrast between the ominous sky and the peaceful houses creates a dramatic tension. Trees and power lines add depth to the landscape under the churning heavens.

A Royal Penguin making its dramatic entrance from the surf, out onto the beach at Sandy Bay (Macquarie Island). These birds breed only on this tiny island in the middle of the great Southern Ocean, making them one of the hardest species to come across, and almost certainly the hardest-to-reach Australian endemic species. Luckily once you get there, they aren't hard to find!
I'd always taken Royal for one of the less attractive penguin species, but once you meet them, it's love at first sight!
