Myrtle Beach is a coastal city on the east coast of the United States in Horry County, South Carolina. It is situated on the center of a large and continuous stretch of beach known as the Grand Strand in northeastern South Carolina.
Myrtle Beach is one of the major centers of tourism in the United States because of the city's warm subtropical climate and extensive beaches, attracting an estimated 14 million visitors each year. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 27,109 with the Myrtle Beach metropolitan area population at 465,391 according to a 2013 estimate.
Myrtle Beach hosts a variety of special conventions, events, and musical concerts. The area's attractions include its beaches and courses, as well as a number of amusement parks, an aquarium, Legends In Concert, retail developments, a number of shopping complexes and over 1,900 restaurants[6] including seafood restaurants. The area also has dinner theaters, nightclubs, and many tourist shops. Myrtle Beach has an estimated 460 hotels, with many on the beachfront, and approximately 89,000 accommodation units in total. Also in the city is Myrtle Waves, one of the largest water parks on the East Coast of the United States.

Myrtle Beach é um centro turÃstico, sendo conhecida pelas suas grandes praias, restaurantes de frutos do mar e excelentes shoppings. Mais de 14 milhões de turistas visitam a cidade anualmente. A área é muito popular para os visitantes que vem do Estado da VirgÃnia Ocidental.
Myrtle Beach era inabitada até 1900, quando uma ferrovia foi construÃda entre Conway e a região onde atualmente localiza-se Myrtle Beach. A estrada de ferro foi inaugurada em 1899 na localidade de Pine Island e foi estendida por 6,4 km em direção a futura cidade que estaria sendo construÃda.
Pelos idos de 1930, a cidade cresceu com a finalidade de incluir a localidade atual de Ocean Forest. O Canal intercostal (Intercoastal Waterway) começou a ser construÃdo nessa década. Myrtle Beach foi incorporada como cidade de categoria secundária (town) em 1938, e incorporada para a categoria de cidade primária (city) em 1957, sendo que, nesta ocasião, a cidade foi renomeada como "Myrtle Beach", que é o mesmo nome das árvores da região, bem pelo fato da cidade estar localizada próxima de praias.
Myrtle Beach continuou a crescer, e nos anos 60, o centro de compras de Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Square Mall) foi construÃdo e a cidade tornou-se associada com o turismo. A rota principal da cidade, US 17 Bypass, foi também construÃda nessa década

Conveniently located adjacent to SeaWorld and its water park Aquatica and just minutes away from Universal Orlando Resort, Walt Disney World and the Orange County Convention Center.
Doubletree by Hilton Denver Stapleton-North partners year-round with the Denver University Knoebel School of Hospitality Management - LEAD Mentorship Program. General Manager Matthew Anderson is paired with a student protégé and they meet monthly throughout the school year. Students and mentors determine how they want to use their time together each month, including touring the hotel work environment, meeting Team Members, discussing career journeys and suggestions, reviewing the application process, and gaining insights. The hotel also partners with the Denver University - Hospitality Tourism and Resort Management class that allows a team of students to stay in the hotel to experience DoubleTree hospitality first hand by shopping and testing the various amenities and services and reporting back to the class. This experience ends with an interview of the General Manager to discuss various topics, including leadership responsibilities, empowerment and communication.

Room 511 at the (Hilton) Doubletree Hotel in Orange, California, on the border of Anaheim/Orange and three quick miles from the Disneyland gate.
You can't see it here, but I liked that the fore-pillow says "Sweet Dreams." (Then again, I was just glad to get more than two skimpy-flat pillows. There was even a fluffy spare in the closet!)
And the warm, soft cookie upon check-in wasn't bad, either. Parking is eight bucks a day, though.
