A model of the DoubleTree Hotel in Reading, Pennsylvania.
At the scale I picked for most of these models, this building should be 6 plates taller, but I opted to ignore it to preserve the specific patterns on the street-facing walls.

The Oosterdokseiland is now home to a mix of public and private users. This includes the DoubleTree hotel, Amsterdam Public Library (main branch), the Amsterdam Conservatory, a flagship location of Enterprise Rent-a-Car (main branch), a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, a Saturn electronics megastore, multiple residential complexes, and about 65,000 square metres (700,000 sq ft) of office space, including the headquarters of navigation system manufacturer TomTom.

Saturday night in Lincoln was one of our best nights out there ever. We had such a great time, lots of interaction with other people.
We started out at the Skylight Bar in the Doubletree hotel on Brayford Wharf then went on to Popworld, which was a Fever Boutique last time we were there.
At Popworld we met the wonderful Ashliegh who was just great company all night! And we had a dance on the light-up dance floor too. A brill night all round!

Ickworth house was built between 1795 and 1829. Originally it was the main dwelling of an estate owned by the Hervey family, later Marquesses of Bristol, since 1467. The building was the creation of Frederick Hervey, 4th Earl of Bristol and Bishop of Derry who commissioned the Italian architect Asprucci to design him a classical villa in the Suffolk countryside. The Earl died in 1803, leaving the completion of house to his successor.
My wife Theresa and I are staying two nights 12 & 13 April, in London at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel near Hyde Park, then travelling on to Cambridgeshire to spend Easter with my wife's family. We return to Athens, Greece on April 21st, 2017.

From my first roll with my new Holga. I'm still getting the hang of trying to line things up with the off-center viewfinder. Symmetry with a Holga is obviously a bit challenging.

Superb meal at the Marco Pierre White restaurant on the 5th floor, tonight. The Electric Bar, next to it has a great view over the Brayford Pool.
It’s a rare occurrence that I happen to have every single ingredient in a popular recipe. I haven’t heard of this cookie until several weeks into quarantine, and I had no idea it was that popular. I don’t think I even stayed at a Doubletree much less knew it produced cookies. But given it was all over the inter webs, I read the recipe and it was pretty easy.
They came out incredible. I was a bit skeptical about the oats and I am not usually an enthusiast of the chocolate and cinnamon combo, but everything together worked great! The pinch of cinnamon only gave a hint of something. Don’t get me wrong, I love snickerdoodles but the focus of this cookie is on the chocolate and it didn’t overwhelm. As for the oats, it also took a backseat and only added to the chewiness. It wasn’t too oatmeally. Again, I love oatmeal cookies but this recipe is not meant to be one.
While I do like cookies on the more petite side, this is meant to be on the larger side. It comes out better that way, a perfect balance of crispy edges and chewy center. This recipe is a keeper.
