Pekoe was abandoned in the woods by his previous owner, left on Craig Creek Road. Like most abandoned dogs, he waited faithfully at the spot, waiting for his people to come back for him. After about five days, we were able to catch him. A year later, he finally began to trust us. Now, after four years with us, he's a happy senior boy. Hopefully, he never remembers being abandoned.

A series of photos im working on for a book "Dogs of Angell Woods" to help save a wooded area on the west island of Montreal.
Obviously didn't put the lid of the Dog Food container on properly last night - got a shock when I went to feed the dogs this morning - this poor little soul was stuck - though wasn't in too much of a rush to escape. Should stress that no animal was harmed during the taking of this photograph ...well only my dogs who had to wait five minutes longer for breakfast.
This pitbull pup was an absolute blast. He stuck his nose right up in my camera and I got fortunate enough, seeing as I had it on automatic focus, that it chose to give me perfect detail of the nose. Regardless, it is one of my favorite pictures so far in my puppy series. He was the most photogenic of the group. Puppies really do convey some of the best emotions because they are so raw. It's quite fun to get this close.
As I had thought, Miku jumped up and tried to run away when my husband opend the door. Well, it has been 5 months since he left. Then looking at Hana, Miku gradually remembered him.
Holly, Ivy, Sonia, and Neeko. I made this as wall paper for my computer. The actual scene took place on their mattress next to my bed. I superimposed the dogs over the dunes that are one of the built in desktop pictures that came with windows. You might call them, Microsoft Dogs!

This is the most adorable puppy I have ever met. Her name is Ida and she is the bosses dog.
She had a grand time going through my toy bag and she found her favorite right away. A pink screaming monkey.

Using their color vision, Prairie dogs can detect predators from a far distance and then alert other prairie dogs to the danger with a special, high-pitched call. Prairie dogs use a sophisticated system of vocal communication to describe specific predators. Prairie dogs also trim the vegetation around their colonies to remove any cover for predators.
