Livia après le bain, elle a encore l'air d'un hérisson.
Pas facile d'amener mademoiselle jusqu'à la baignoire et de la hisser dedans (40 kg de mauvaise volonté) mais une fois qu'elle y est ça se passe bien.
"I told you to turn left at that last light. Now we're lost and it's the middle of the night!"
I do a "pre-dawn" vet run once in awhile as part of my rescue work. I keep my camera handy because I meet some very interesting dogs that way. Most times they're just going in for shots, spay or neuter, so it's just a great opportunity to fellowship with another of God's sane creatures. Then I have to go to my work and be around people, the not-so-sane creatures. . (sigh) Oh well.

My dad's dog, Harley. He may not look it, but this dog is a total badass - he'll take on anyone!

Gretel and Montague play together a lot. This is a welcome QUIET moment the two are having.
Gretel was adopted on 3/27/08. She was born on 1/23/08. She's a mix between a German Shepherd and Bassett Hound. Not sure what she'll look like when she's an adult.
Montague was adopted in December 2003. He's (obviously) a Golden Retriever.
Both dogs were adopted from different local rescue organizations that have a no-kill philosophy.

Chris and I went to the Petco where there were several rescue groups there for a huge dog event. Amazingly I didn't completely freak out around some of the larger breeds e.g. Akitas, a 90 lbs Labrador 1 yr old "puppy," and other even larger dogs that I can't recall. All in all pretty happy group of people there with dogs ranging from the very freaked out (barking like crazy or just outright hiding behind their foster parents), to the "OMG I'm so happy to see you! and you! oh and you!" Fun times and we ended up taking home a puppy.
