Boerboel dogs are a mastiff dog breed from South-Africa to guard the farm against intruders and large predators. Height: 60 to 70 cm, weight 50 to 80 kg. Both Boerboel (Boeddha) and collie (Jack) are still puppies, born 5 months ago.
I need to always have my camera at the ready. Had so many great opportunities for good candid shots this week, but by the time I got my camera ready, the moment would be over and I'd have two dogs following me around wondering what I was up to. Jonah's expression looks rather awkward here, but I enjoyed the concentric ripples.
My husband saw these dogs in the casino of the hotel we stayed at during our recent vacation in Laughlin, Nevada. I read somewhere that the reason why casinos have carpets with colors and busy patterns like this is because this type of carpet does not show dirt or wear and tear like ordinary carpets do.
I am sorry I haven't been posting these days...Its been almost a week since I got back from Colombia, and this is the first day i spend some time on the computer.... have been trying to catch up with things at the house.... It was hard to leave my mom and oliver, but my sister had already arrived so it kind of helps my mind a little.
She took him a new blanket and he loved it, its been cold and rainy these days down there. Hope everyone is having a great week. i will try and catch up with your streams :) xxxxx

We spend our saturday noon at the rocket station.
I took some pictures in the great Tadao Ando architecture of my son and - this one of Hugo. Love the color of the iron case behind him. Thought, it would match with his coat.
After the first roll through the KMZ FT-2, I had a look at the innards to see what was causing the scratches. I found a few bits of dust on the backing plate, so I cleaned it off and ran another roll through the camera on Monday down in Point Pleasant Beach. Victory! No scratches! That was an easy fix. There's still some unevenness in exposure, but not as pronounced; I used 1/100 and 1/200 instead of 1/400. Seems imperfectly usable to me.
Shot on Plus-X (expired 1989, shot at box speed), developed in HC-110 1:90 for 18 minutes, agitation every three minutes.
Straw dog
I'd been planning this shot for a few weeks as the grass turned to straw during the heatwave. Only problem, it was too hot to take Fudge for a walk during the day when the sun was shining on this bank of grass. The weather has cooled somewhat and we've even had some welcome rain. This week marked the 8th anniversary of us getting our golden boy, as Fudge arrived as a very cute puppy on July 20th 2010.
