Scooby, Pebbles, and Howie (my moms dog) hanging out together and enjoying my bed, while giving me the "Sorry, Ashley, there's just no room for you now. Hope you enjoy the couch." look. I'll upload a photo of Howie soon, he's a really adorable Chihuahua.
One day I spent some exciting time watching and photoraphing some dogs playing with a ball in an off leash park. From good natured fun, the play changed as other dogs joined the play, and the fun gave way to something more serious.
The dogs were running / swimming back and forth this lowtide area. I wasn't sure did they really catch some fish or was it just the play. Anyway this play make them swim many hours daily.

*finally uploaded something despite very slow internet connection*
I've been busy organizing my growing collection of images and came across this one. I liked it but never posted it because I just couldn't seem to get the tones I wanted. Well, I gave it another try with Lightroom 2.0 and had a bit better luck. I took this with my Canon XTi last year after a snowstorm brought 10 inches of snow and a cancellation of school and work which in turn made for a great day for the dogs. A group shot is here.
My Grandfather Cecil Bavin died in 1927 when my mother was 7 years old. Grandma never remarried. This is probably my most favorite picture of the Grandfather I never got to see or know.
Just stumbled across this 2012 shot, taken by my son Thom. A portrait of our gone-but-not-forgotten companion, Scout (2004-2018).
