On June 1st, 2014 at 4:16pm, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) responded to multiple reports of a vegetation fire at 400 Wall St. near Granada High School in Livermore. Arriving units found a good-sized working vegetation fire in the grass behind the school and immediately went into offensive mode. Upon arrival, LPFD Battalion 9 assumed Wall IC and requested a second alarm, summoning several Type 1 engines to assist the Type 3 engines and Patrols with fire attack as well as to provide access to a water supply. Alameda County Fire responded two battalion chiefs (Battalion 2 and Battalion 3) and a Type 3 engine (Engine 308) to assist as well. Because the fire was also threatening a couple structures nearby, LPFD Truck 96 responded to the call also for structure protection, but cleared by the time I arrived on scene.
Besides Truck 96, the total balance of apparatus on scene included Alameda County Battalions 2 and 3, LPFD Battalion 9, Alameda County Type 3 Engine 308, LPFD Type 3 Engines 394 and 399, LPFD Chief 90, LPFD Patrol Engines 491, 495, 497, and LPFD Type 1 Engines 90, 95, 97, and 98, making for a total of 15 pieces of apparatus on scene!

No matter what version there is, be it Classic, P38, Sport or the new Evoque, Devon has at least ten of them. In the rugged moorland regions these workhorses were the only real presence of British Leyland, and most have been successful.
Seen here is a good old BL build, a 5-door Range Rover Classic which seems a little worse for wear.

Absolutely superb little 1/64 model of the Dodge Ram by Welly. Their current range including this vehicle is a fantastic mix of new and classic vehicles from all over the World and are all licensed! Take note Matchbox! Taking into account these cost less than a HW or MBX the detailing and accuracy are so very impressive. This is one of many Welly models I got from a Bulgarian Ebayer. Mint and boxed.

The Kruislaan used to be one of the main avenues of the polder Watergraafsmeer together with the Middenweg. Early Autumn colors and a passing black Dodge Ram.
Watergraafsmeer
The Watergraafsmeer is a polder in the Netherlands. It was reclaimed in 1629. In the 17th and 18th centuries, there were many buitenplaatsen in the Watergraafsmeer, today only Frankendael is still visible of that period.
Since 1921, the Watergraafsmeer is part of the city of Amsterdam and its rural character has all but disappeared. It is located in the borough of Amsterdam-Oost. The most important streets in the Watergraafsmeer are the Middenweg and the Kruislaan. [ Wikipedia ]
