As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.

The photo was taken using the camera App Cortex Camera for iPhone. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used the app ShockMyPic to edit the image making some of the details a bit more artistic. After that I used an app called LensFlare to apply lighting to the image. Finally I used Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Egret overlay and the Sentiment Texture.

The original photo was taken this morning in Baginton, a village on the outskirts of Coventry. The image is of Lunt Roman Fort. The site is a rebuilt Roman fort that would have originally been in use nearly 2000 years ago. The main part of the image is of the reconstructed Gatehouse. While next to it on the left side is the Gyrus which may have been used as the cavalry training arena. The site was rediscovered and reconstructed upon the original foundations during the 1960's and 1970's.

The site is classed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument. It is number 7 on my list of 10 Scheduled Ancient Monument's in the Coventry area that I hope to photograph.

The photo was taken using the camera App ProCamera for iPhone. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used Camera+ to edit the image. The only edit made was to apply the Clarity filter. Next I used the App Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Ansel overlay and the Lade Texture. Finally I passed the image through an App called Alt Photo using the Warm Color Film filter.

The original photo was taken at lunchtime today. It is an image of an old sandstone house that is located in the Allesley village area of Coventry. The house was built about 1557 for John Milward.

The building is is a Grade II* Listed building and is number 3 on my list of 24 (Grade II*) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.

The photo was taken using the camera App Huemore for iPhone. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. The edits were made by cloning away the Lampposts from behind the Gate and the dustbin from in front of it. Next I used PhotoToaster to edit the image a little more. This was done by applying the Clarify filter, Vibrant FX, a medium white Vignette and the Antiqued texture to the image. I then used the App Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Cedar Texture. Finally I used the app Wood Camera to add the Birds to the picture using Frame number 14.

The original photo was taken this afternoon in the city centre area of Coventry. The image is of Swanswell Gate. This gate also known previously as Priory Gate is One of the Two remaining Town Wall gates that survive from the original Twelve city gates. Swanswell (or Priory) gate was completed in 1440. It was built to give access to the Prior's lands outside the city walls. Most of the town wall and gates were demolished in 1662 after the English Civil War of the 1640's by the orders of King Charles II. This was in revenge for the support Coventry gave to the Parliamentarians during the Civil War against the Royalists. Also in the image is a small part of the Town Wall. This is leading uphill towards Cook Street Gate, the only other remaining gate.

The Gate is classed as both a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade I listed building. The Gate is number 14 on my list of 19 (Grade I) Listed buildings and number 3 on my list of 10 Scheduled Ancient Monument's in Coventry that I hope to photograph.

Transcendental caravans of myopic apparitions will careen in meandering clusters tussled amidst aspirations of exalted justice from nature that shall not be contravened. The day nature rescinds your imagined celebrity draws near.

This photo reminds me of an American folk art painting where either the artist knew and/or cared nothing about the rule of thirds, one-point perspective, or parallel and perpendicular lines. I love this little quirky photo for its sweet representation of country living along California's central coast in the quaint little town of Harmony, population 18.

Harmony is a picturesque little town currently being revitalized. A small herd of grazing cows greets visitors at the entrance of this bucolic setting. Located a short walk up the hill before entering the town is Harmony Cellars, which has a tasting room open to the public. In town is Harmony Cafe, which opened 81 days ago today (YAY!). The owner told me that they are working with an architect and are opening an outdoor restaurant this summer. (My photograph was taken from inside the cafe looking out onto the garden.) Its shaded garden is lovely, complete with a friendly kitty. Located behind the cafe is Harmony Chapel, with its beautiful Gothic-shaped stained glass windows, making it perfect for intimate weddings. There is also a beautiful gazebo, and the old post office is still in operation. Completing this pretty picture is Harmony Pottery Works and Harmony Glassworks, whose flock of chickens wanders freely throughout the town's gardens. (Can you tell that I scoped out just about every inch of the town?!?)

I hope this town prospers because it's a treasure and a must-see stop five miles south of Cambria on Highway 1.

The photo was taken using the camera App VividHDR for iPhone with the Dramatic Setting. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. This was done by cloning away the two cars from the right side of the image and a road sign in the background left. After this I used Distressed FX to add the birds and some extra texture to the image using the Birds - Trio overlay and the Sentiment Texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply a soft dark vignette, an Intense FX, the Canvas texture and add the Shadow II frame.

The original photo was taken today in the Village of Meriden. The view is of an Ancient Wayside post that marks the Centre of England. The post which is about 500 years old stands on the Village Green in Meriden.

On a busy, otherwise prosaic, intersection near where I live, a dinosaur sculpture presides over traffic as it whizzes by fast food, a gas station, and an oil-change joint...The words of Guatemalan author Augusto Monterrosso come to mind when I pass the seemingly gratuitous T-Rex reproduction--in one of the shortest short-stories in any language, he wrote: "Cuando despertó, el dinosaurio todavía estaba allí." Enigmatic, allegorical, and surreal...(iPhone5, perspectivecorrect, snapseed, DistressedFX, scratchcam)
