The Second layer I added the Birds to the image with the Overlay called Birds - Trio and the Texture called Vanilla. Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply the Canvas texture and add the Shadow frame.

Grabbed this shot on the way home last night. There was a nice sunset but I couldn't find an unobstructed view. Stubbornly, I kept driving south until I finally found this spot! Happy Fence Friday~

I found this challenge quite difficult! Disaster, for me, wasn't easy to think through although I thought of all those nations that continue to war or face natural disasters and the horrific times that people live through! Me, life seems to just stroll along!
However, I also thought that a "disastrous" situation for me would be to be out and about taking photos and my camera batteries died on me ~ what a disaster. Fortunately, I use a battery pack which means I've always got a spare battery with me. However, even more of a disaster is "showing" this photo!! I took it with my iPhone 5S and flushed it through Distressed FX to give it an even more look of disaster!! Life goes on!!
Our Daily Challenge ~ DISASTER .....
Thanks, in advance, to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... thanks to you all.
couldn't resist doing a painterly treatment on this scene from last night; just added the texture--the color really was this spectacular...(iPhone5s, snapseed, distressedFX, PerspectiveCorrect)

The original photo was taken this morning in Baginton, a village on the outskirts of Coventry. The image is of Lunt Roman Fort. The site is a rebuilt Roman fort that would have originally been in use nearly 2000 years ago. The main part of the image is of the reconstructed Gatehouse. While next to it on the left side is the Gyrus which may have been used as the cavalry training arena. The site was rediscovered and reconstructed upon the original foundations during the 1960's and 1970's.
The site is classed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument. It is number 7 on my list of 10 Scheduled Ancient Monument's in the Coventry area that I hope to photograph.
