As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.

The photo was taken using the camera App Huemore for iPhone. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used the app Snapseed to crop and edit the image. The edits were made by adjusting the Ambiance, Contrast and Brightness of the picture. Next I used the app called Mextures to apply some lighting and textures to the image. The Layers that I applied were, Vignette, Mulberry, Washington Screen, Leaker, Seattle Overlay and the Painterly Soft Light Overlay. Finally I used Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Broken Texture.

The original photo was taken this afternoon on the Coventry Canal Greenway. This is a view over the Canal looking towards a Chimney that was built for the powerhouse of the Old Rover car factory.

It is the surprise of unentered rooms, of bends in lonely roads. It is the fear of the unexpected, , turns them to shapes, and gives to airy nothing. The lines of space begin to blur her edges.

About this image: It has taken me years to realize that I am an empath. I think becoming ill with Lyme disease and dealing the neurological effects of the disease has moved me more deeply in that direction. I absorb the emotional states of those around me. It is not something I want to do, but something that just happens. So, this is why I found myself alone, in my truck, in the parking lot of a church last night as I waited for my youngest daughter to complete her first day of chorus practice. The practice is one and a half hours long and I couldn't stomach sitting in the waiting area the entire time with all the other parents. I am not antisocial and they are not mean, but I just crave peace, alone time, and calmness. So, after being in the church for about 40 minutes, I strolled out to my truck. While I was sitting in the front seat, I saw the bell tower and steeple rising beautifully into the dusky sky. I was totally inspired. As I sat and stared at the changing light on the steeple, I thought to myself, "I love how gently we are moving into the night." It was like watching a slow motion video of a changing sky, a changing light, a changing world as the sun sank deeper on the horizon. And when it was fully dark, I went back into the church again refreshed and ready to deal with the crowd of parents and kids again.

Yesterday was an exciting day at Lake Michigan with high winds and 6 ft. waves. I love the lake when it gets like that. . .

I took this with my iphone and played with it with my DistressedFX app. Most of you know Distressed Jewell but may not know she has an iphone app. Check it out. .

This image was captured on my daily hike in the nearby canyon. March showers = May flowers! The dazzling yellow blooms are really out of control; taking over and constricting the path. I have been walking this path repeatedly, and photographing various views. That morning, the hedge was luminescent. I squatted down, and captured the view with my iphone11pro. Later, on my iPad pro, I tuned the image in Snapseed, then added texture and depth in DistressedFX. Icolorama has wonderful painting and watercolor filters that enhanced the image. I blended the icolorama effect with the DistressedFX result, then edited in simply watercolor. The net result was a painterly, blurred mass of yellow flowers with dazzling greenery.

The end of March my new Oly mirrorless broke. I charged the battery, but the camera kept saying battery empty. Same thing with a new battery and charger.

I sent in to Olympus but wasn’t sure. I’d only had it six months and I’d bought from Dell and their invoice and packing list did not reference the serial number.

Olympus sent me a new camera. I was already an Oly girl, but this really sealed the deal. I love my Olympus cameras!

Today's picture was taken in Priory Garden's, which is part of the Cathedral Quarter of Coventry City Centre. The view is an image of part of the exposed foundations of the First of Coventry's Three Cathedrals. This is the Cathedral of St. Mary's Priory. The original Cathedral dates back to the time of Lady Godiva and her husband Leofric, Earl of Mercia. They founded a Benedictine monastery on this site in 1043 that was dedicated to St. Mary. About 50 years later Papal authorisation was given for the monastery to become a Priory and Cathedral. The cathedral lasted until the Mid 16th Century, when it was destroyed as part of the Dissolution of the Monasteries during King Henry VIII's reign. St Mary's was the only English cathedral to be destroyed during this time. For nearly 400 years Coventry went without a Cathedral, until in 1918 the parish Church of St Michael became the Second Cathedral in Coventry's history. Part of the ruins of St. Mary's Priory Cathedral (some of which can be seen here) were uncovered in 1856 when the Blue Coat School was rebuilt near to this site. In 1999 as part of the Phoenix Initiative, archaeologists from the Channel 4 TV programme 'Time Team' conducted a dig to help find more remains of the Priory Cathedral. They returned again in 2001 for a second programme to see the progress that was being made. The Priory Remains are classed as a both a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I cropped and straightened the image, then I added both the Tonal Contrast and Vintage filters. I used the Healing function to delete a small sign near to the wall. Then I increased the saturation, ambiance and warmth. Next I used the app DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Lade Texture. Finally I used the App AltPhoto to add the Creamy Highlights Colour film and frame.
