At this point the little guy was committed to taking that leap into space...(No bugs were harmed in the making of this photo : )
Used the "Distressed FX" app for processing here
running by one of my favorite spots in lower Sabino Canyon just before sunset, autumn evening and saguaros reflected in the dwindling waters, waiting for the winter rains...(iPhone5)

Vor dem Hotel. Gegenüber die Thunfischsiedlung. Die Meerseite ist grau-weiß wie die Möven. Nur die hintere Hälfte ist gelb. Warum das so ist? No lo so. Keine Ahnung. (Wichtigster Satz hier in Italien) #trapani #puntatipa #sicilia #hotel #möven #seagulls #strada #noloso

It’s cold enough outside at -3 degrees Fahrenheit, you can make your own snow. Here's how:
Boil some water to a good bubbly hot. You have to use boiling water and not just hot water. Put the boiled water in a really big cup, go outside and toss it into the air in a large sweeping arc. VOILA! You will have a burst of fog and snow. Really cool. Entertain your family, your friends, your enemies ... or just yourself ;o)
The science: The boiling water is so close to turning into a gas that it breaks up into tiny, tiny droplets when it is thrown. The tiny droplets have a high surface area compared to their volume so the heat can be lost very quickly and the water can become ice crystals, or even cloud like, almost immediately.

Nice sunny and mild day on Easter weekend. A forced perspective of my Mountain Bike.
At long last... one of my images has made it to the Explore page - 2013.03.30 (#199).
It took creating a 3rd account until it happened. My previous account: Aaron of NEPA (Pro account expires on Sunday, April 7th, 2013).

All come from the river and ocean, birdsong and wind, flowers and green grsasa and the darkness of night.
Trying other apps to do things all in Sketchbook.

About his time last year I was visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico. Early every morning I would see flocks of birds flying over the adobe structures, and I tried to get this shot with my iPhone. I never captured a good shot of the birds. Last week I downloaded the DistressedFX app, with these bird textures (BTW, lots of other cool textures in that app too). Finally I got the the shot I wanted by adding the birds to one of those pictures from Santa Fe. Patience:)

I keep the books I always use. I keep the very old beautiful ones I admire because books on the shelf are better than nicnacs or papers. I do not keep books I keep meaning to read. Face it, you won’t and your subconscious know why.

The image for today was taken this morning in the City Centre of Coventry. It is a view of part of what remains of the Medieval Town Wall. This section of the wall that is located in Lady Herbert's Garden is connected to the Swanswell Gate (one of only 2 surviving Town Gates in the City). It is also one of the largest surviving sections of wall that remain.
The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped the image and applied the Tonal Contrast filter. I then boosted the Saturation, Ambiance and Warmth. I also decreased the Highlights and added a little extra Structure and Sharpening. Next I used the app Mextures to apply the formula called Shiver by Ana Gōmez de Leōn. After this I used the app DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Clarify preset, the Stark FX and a Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Scratched texture and the Leather frame.
My Red Lion Amaryllis gave a total of 7 huge red trumpet blooms. They are still going strong!

This shot gets me back to being up to date with my 366, so that's good!!
Something about manipulating your image with textures is pretty cool, in my opinion! This Theme has allowed me to try something different and it's fun!!
To get this texture I had to download this to my iPhone then add the textures via an App called DistressedFX and then upload back to my MacBook!! Loads of different textures within this App. Looks like by downloading and uploading and then uploading to Flickr I lose my EXIF detail?!
