A vintage Dodge truck on display in Toronto's Distillery District. This district is now one of the trendiest parts of the city with high end shops entertainment, art and restaurants. The Gooderham and Worts Distillery was originally founded in 1832 by Brothers-in-law William Gooderham and James Worts. It eventually became the largest distillery in the British Empire.

As the quintessential distillery, Balblair sits on a remote and unspoiled hillside overlooking the Dornoch Firth in the North of Scotland. Only the finest ingredients and traditional processes are used to craft the distinctive, characterful whisky. It has been here since 1790.
It is well worth a visit.
Located down the hall from the Cascadia Museum in Edmonds is the Scratch Distillery and as I walked by I was mesmerized by the gleaming brass and spun stainless steel on display. I was more interested in sketching instead of spirits

The huge complex has its roots in the early 18th century in southeastern Indiana. Bordering Lawrenceburg and Greendale, the distillery is owned by MGP Ingredients and the facility is named the Ross & Squibb Distillery. At its height the distillery had over 2500 workers. Whiskey fungus, caused by the release of ethanol fumes into the atmosphere, coats many nearby houses and vehicles and covers them with an ugly black mold. Fumes impact the upriver Cincinnati, Ohio.
