The breeze that blew around her hair that day
The timeless dress that flowed in endless sway
I almost touched her shoulder, she almost turned to face me
A thousand distant summers... away

As the sun set's below the horizon, the cloud color changes to end a wonderful day and start the beginning of Texas starlit night. Hope Y'all enjoy this "Distant Sunset". !!

South Canadian River, Pittsburg County Oklahoma.... Still nothing new to post, hopefully that will change soon. Took this on the river in August. I really need to get back up there, tons of potential while the water is low. Have a great week and thanks for looking!
The unfinished Elizabethan mansion "Lyveden New Bield" sits as it was left in 1605. It was built for Sir Thomas Tresham and work stopped upon his death, His son who inherited the estate was unable to carry on his fathers work as he was arrested for his part in the "Gunpowder Plot" on the House of Commons.
Fascinating history and a very photogenic location now owned by the National Trust.
The overhanging trees and bushes in the distance form a visual tunnel through which the walking trail leads.
Happy Bench Monday too!
Sprengisandur the middle of Icelandic wilderness- view to glaciers and distant mountains

A trip to Sierra Valley would not be complete without a Black-billed Magpie. These are so skittish, it is very hard to see them close at all.
Lousy light in overcast conditions and too distant for my D500, with 300mm f2.8 and 2 x converter. But great to see these so close to home. Saw 6 at once this afternoon, of the 7 birds reported present. Two have been seen mating and food passing.
Looking across Lake Te Anau New Zealand to distant mountains. Te Anau township is the gateway to Milford.Sound
A view looking towards the Burbo Windfarm north of the Wirral. I think the small rocky island is Red Rocks.
