Window display at the General Store at Bodie. Light source is the low wattage carbon filament light bulb and the near full moon on the outside of the building.
For how many more years will we be able to be amused and stunned by the outstanding aerial display of Lapwings in Norway? The species is critically endangered on the national red list, and we are in risk of loosing the charming shorebird as a breeding species in the country. This male was displaying at Herdla, Norway 4 April 2023.

A peaceful very subdued display of white milky glassware -on white, seemed a good blend with some spangles from the entryhall.

"The Haunting of Storybook Hollow" A friend of mine, has a sister, who goes all out for Halloween. For 10 years her and her husband have been creating this amazing display of handmade fairy tale characters, adding new ones each year.

Even if it calls it No.10 (Syakudama), there are various forms by the author's device.
The core has double structure.
一口に10号、尺玉といっても作者の工夫により色々な形がある物です。
こちらは芯が2重構造で、やし星入り(白く中央から外に開いたもの)、
綺麗でした。

There are three male, and one female Hooded Mergansers at North Pond. This particular one, totally ignores the others, and just hangs around with the Wood Ducks, coming quite close to shore with them,and chases them around. When he displays he emits this deep-throated, booming sound..reminds me of the Tuva throat singers of Central Asia.
Colts Neck Township Fair - which conveniently was scheduled the weekend before Independence Day. Many towns cancelled fireworks displays this year due to fiscal constraints.

47xxx 900729 Worcester SH
An Unidentified 47 approaches Worcester Shrub Hill with a diverted service to the South Coast on Sunday 29th July 1990 under the watch of a supurb array of WR lower quadrant signalling.
It's amazing to believe that Worcester is still mainly under the control of Semaphore signalling up to this day. How much longer for I don't know, but it is a place still well worth a visit even though the majority of trains are DMU's
The Kori Bustard, a large ground-dwelling bird of the southern and east African plains, is perhaps best known for its spectacular courtship display. I was thrilled to witness several such displays on my recent trip to Tanzania. The male puffs up his neck and feathers, lifts his tail upright, raises his crest, and struts about the grassland, for all to see him in his glory.

Taxiing to the end of runway 07 at Coningsby. Due to work on the Northside taxiway, the Typhoon has taken the long way around through the shelters.
