Tracks depart the upper helix at Fairmont, travel through Gordon and then come to Howell and the CSX interchange yard.
This is part of my "dream plan" for the train layout... I have the "train room" computer hooked up to one of the HDMI inputs on the TV... with JMRI showing the track occupancy on both the layout panel (white, top) and the dispatcher panel (black with white markings, bottom). I still need to arrange the windows to make space for the dispatcher control windows once I get the occupancy sensing debugged.
Ultimately, this will all be web-accessible also, enabling truly remote dispatching of the layout.
The red track on top (and the illumpnated white lamp on the lower panel) show a locomotive sitting on Main 1 along the front of the layout.
Nothing said in dispatch on either the phone or radio goes unrecorded. I have occasionally gotten myself in trouble forgetting this little detail :) hehehe
Right hand screen is our security system so we can see who has entered the building and on the left is our SPOTS computer probably better known as NLETS. I basically connects us to every other law enforcement agency in the country and Interpol..
The magnetic train markers are moved around by the dispatcher. The markers are labeled with train numbers. Pointed markers travel in one direction. Train G055 is sitting in the siding at Inglewood waiting for G304 to go by.

Light is at the heart of our photographs. Understanding the nuances of light’s interaction with the camera is critical to our craft. The temperature, intensity, source of light, ISO, aperture, speed, camera type, lens type, focal length, and filters… the combinations are myriad and multilayered, revealing the beauty in even the darkest of scenes.

Between the UFO picture, seeing faces in the sky, and being in a couple forests with weird humming noises at night, this shot pretty made up for all that.

lay far in the future at this point. At this moment all I could see in my mind's eye was goals - the goals that would help Charlton Athletic to prosper in the First Division. Goals in a footballing sense, and also the goal of working for the PFA to secure a better deal for players, and especially former professionals who had given much to the game but were now, in many cases, scraping a living. I resolved to give my all to Charlton, and to the cause of working for the betterment of my fellow players' rights, just as I had previously given it to Tottenham Hotspur and, on a brief loan spell, Manchester United, and as I would subsequently give it to the BBC's political coverage.
