This morning around 0800 the Pueblo Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Erica Ct. in University Park. Engine 8 arrived on scene and sized up a single story single family residence with nothing showing and took command and began investigating. After gaining access to the home Engine 8 found heavy smoke and requested the 2nd in Engine catch the plug. Engine 2 arrived and caught the plug and supplied Engine 8. A back up line was pulled and crews accessed the basement and were able to get a knock on it within a short amount of time. According to the Pueblo Fire PIO 3 residents escaped the blaze and the cause is still under investigation. Units on scene were: Chief 3, Engine 2, Engine 5, Engine 8, Squad 1, Truck 1, and Training 1. | 2017-12-08 | Pueblo, Colorado | by Dustin Cox

Radio dispatchers and street supervisors working in the control center work long shifts. Their hours are often filled with stress and a constant flurry of activity. With a 99 bus fleet and tens of thousands of passengers a day, not to mention reroutes, there is always something going on and some operator who needs assistance.
Hopefully, these chairs will maintain their comfort and provide a bit of support for their bodies.
