Live Action Cinderella Slipper Ornament

$24.99

Item No. 7509055890904P

US Disney Store

I received this slipper ornament from the Disney Store a couple of weeks ago, but just now got around to unpacking it and taking some photos. It is still available online from the Disney Store, and costs $24.95. It is made by Disney Parks, but I haven't seen it yet in Disneyland.

I am very impressed with the ornament. It is an accurate representation of the live action Cinderella slipper. It is made of resin and metal, with faceted sides and a glittering golden butterfly. It is about 4 inches along the top of the shoe, the same size as the other Disney Parks shoe ornaments. It stands comparison to my $395 Arribas Cinderella faceted crystal slipper, which is about twice its size (7.5 inches along the top of the shoe). I show it alone from various angles, and also side by side with some of my other LA Cinderella slipper figures.

Singing Cinderella is fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by a Kaiser stand.

I got the new Disney Store 11 1/2 inch singing Cinderella doll on Monday July 9, 2018. I also got the Ariel singing doll at the same time, whom I will show separately. There are also new singing Moana, Jasmine and Elsa dolls, which I have not gotten yet. They are showing up in various Disney Stores both here in the US and also in the UK, but are not yet available online.

She is in much simpler packaging than previous singing dolls, and has no accessories. She is also less expensive than previous singing dolls, only $19.99, just $5 more than a regular Classic doll. She has a lovely new face paint that is different than the current Classic doll.

Cinderella sings 'A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes' when you twist left her hand. Like Ariel, Cinderella only sings one verse of her song, lasting about 12 seconds. She has golden blonde hair, with gentle curls stiffened by hair product, so I left them mostly alone. She has a glittering dark pink dress, with white satin collar and hem, and decorated by pale pink ribbons. She has a pink sash around her waist, and a thin pink ribbon and bow in her hair. She has dark blue eyes, dark pink lips in an open mouth smile, and is glancing to her right. She is a beautiful doll, and is my second favorite 12 inch Cinderella doll, after the Heroes and Villains Cinderella.

I got Ariel today. I ordered her online on release day, October 27, 2018. She is #2047 of 4500. She and the box arrived in perfect shape. However, the invitation card has slipped down in the plastic sleeve, and won't stay up. I love her face and hair, but her dress is a bit too gaudy for my taste, although it is appropriate for an 80's girl. Her hair is stiff at the ends to keep its curl, so it got a little messy when I broke it up to even out her hair in the back. I cut off the rubber band securing the purse string to her shoulder. I had to use a little tape to keep it from sliding off her shoulder afterwards. I show her boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed. I have her now on my desk, right next to me as I type this. It is convenient that I got her just before the next one, Tiana, is released tomorrow.

The 11'' Talking Taffyta Muttonfudge doll, from the Wreck-It Ralph line of Disney Store merchendise, is a fully poseable plastic doll which says several phrases when you press a button on her belly. That one of the three featured games in the Wreck-It Ralph animated movie, which went into wide release in the US on November 2, 2012. I purchased her in store on November 10. Deboxing Belle. After I removed the rubber band securing the purse chain to her shoulder, I had to use tape to keep it from slipping off of her shoulder (same as with Ariel's purse). Her dress is tight around her hips and legs, so I had to undo it in the back (as well as the outer skirt) in order to pull out the display stand. It was also hard to put the stand back on her. The bracelets are solid rings, so cannot be removed unless you pop off her hands, which I did not try to do. For some of the last photos, I decided to reverse the purse to show the rose rather than the lion. Also I placed the outer skirt a little to the left of where it was in the box pose, to show off her legs.

I was lucky enough to get Belle at the Disney Store today. There was about 70 people entered in the raffle, the most of any release in the series, so I was surprised and happy that I got picked. She is the sixth and final Premiere Series doll to be released. She is #1132 of 4500. I now have all six of the dolls, all gotten first hand, and am glad that the releases are finally over.

I love Belle's face and hair, her Beast purse and her jewelry, but her dress isn't one of my favorites from this series. My doll has some stains on her face, that look like stray hair product. I will clean them off when I debox her. Some strands of her earrings were stuck in her hair, that I freed when I took all the covers off the doll box.

I just received the Beauty and the Beast Limited Edition Figurine from the Disney Store, that I ordered online when it was released last Monday. It is still available from the US Disney Store website. It is LE 1100, and cost $199.95.

It is musical and plays a 15 second segment of 'Beauty and the Beast' repeatedly when the key is turned. It is 10 inches high including the base (which is 7 inches in diameter). The Beast is 8 inches tall and Belle is about 7 inches tall. The figures are made of resin. It weighs a hefty 5.5 pounds (2.5 kg), and came in a very large shipping box weighing 12 pounds. It comes with a hand numbered Certificate of Authenticity, mine is 964 of 1100. The same number is written under the base.

It has an excellent paint job and is marvelously detailed. The only exception, unfortunately, is the face of Belle. There is a sharp ridge down the middle of her nose, there are small defects in the paint and mold, and she isn't as accurate a representation of her character as is the Beast. But viewed from a normal distance, she does look very presentable.

I show the box and the figure from all angles. I also compare the figure with the Lenox Belle and Beast porcelain wedding figure.

I just bought the newly released 12 inch singing dolls from my local Disney Store. They are not yet available online. They had Aurora (as Briar Rose), Belle (in her Winter outfit) and Anna (in her Coronation outfit). They are $19.95 each, and have the same packaging as the Ariel, Cinderella, Elsa, Jasmine and Moana singing dolls released in 2018. They sing for about 15 seconds when you twist their left hand (to your right as you face them). Aurora sings 'Once Upon a Dream' acapella, Belle sings 'Something There' acapella and Anna sings 'Love Is an Open Door' with musical accompaniment.

I debox Aurora first, and will debox the others soon. Aurora is in her purple and black peasant outfit, with glitter floral design on her skirt. The glitter is well glued and doesn't shed. There is a crimson satin shawl around her arms, and a black satin ribbon in her golden blonde hair. Her straight bangs are a little too long, and partially hide her left eye. Her hair is soft except for her bangs, and end in gentle curls. There is a small red cloth rose with a short green stem. I left the rubberband securing it to her right hand. She has violet eyes glancing to her left, and dark pink lips in an open smile. She is barefoot, with rubber legs and fixed angled feet (as if she is on tip toes). Her left arm, which has the singing switch in her wrist, has a fixed elbow. She is a beautiful and fairly accurate depiction of Briar Rose.

Designer Evil Queen Doll In Display Case

At my Disney Store, the right to buy Maleficent today was ''raffled'' off to twenty lucky people. There were maybe 30-40 people entered, and I was not one of the winners. So I will have to get her online tonight. There were a total of 13,000 of each doll produced, so there should be no problem getting a doll online.

Individual dolls may be purchased online and in stores beginning on September 10, 2012, and ending on October 15. One doll will be made available on in stores Monday of each week. Then on Tuesday (at 12 am Pacific Time) that doll will be available online. Here is the list of the dolls and their release dates:

September 10, 2012: Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty (1959).

September 17, 2012: Evil Queen, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).

September 24, 2012: Queen of Hearts, from Alice in Wonderland (1951).

October 01, 2012: Ursula, from The Little Mermaid (1989).

October 08, 2012: Mother Gothel, from Tangled (2010).

October 15, 2012: Cruella de Vil, from One Hundred and One Dalmations (1961).

Alice In Wonderland Tea Cup Ornament Collection

Red Queen, Mad Hatter and Alice ornaments

Disney Parks

US Disney Store

$19.95 each

Released online 2013-03-26

Received 2013-04-02

First Look

Approximately 3'' Tea Cup resin ornaments representing some the main characters in Disney's Alice in Wonderland (1951). Alice, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Red Queen are depicted on separate ornaments in this collection. On the reverse of the ornaments are the White Rabbit, Pencil Birds, the Dormouse, and Card Soldiers, respectively.

I have received three of the four ornaments in this collection. At the time I ordered them, they were on special for 25% off, but the Cheshire Cat was not in stock. I will probably get that one from Disneyland.

They are solid resin, so are very heavy for ornaments. Alice weighs 7 oz, Mad Hatter 8 oz, and Red Queen is 4 oz. They are not very practical to hang from a tree, but all have perfectly flat bases, are perfectly suited to sit on any flat surface. As befits their characters, the width of their bases plus their overall design makes the Alice cup very stable, the Red Queen fairly stable, and the Mad Hatter not very stable at all, since it has a small base is top heavy with three cups stacked on each other.

The artwork are appliques that are glued to the resin pieces, then a clear glaze finish is painted over that. When I looked at them closely, I was a little disappointed in the workmanship of the cups, in particular the Alice and Red Queen ones. The Mad Hatter one is very well done, with a very smooth shiny surface, with all the designs sharp and bright, and no glaring discontinuities or imperfections. The Alice and Red Queen ornaments are not as smooth or shiny, and there are obvious discontinuities in the patterns of the insides of the cups. There is also a large scuff mark on one of the panels of the Red Queen. However, overall I like these ornaments very much. The Alice ornament in particular has very beautiful artwork of Alice, Dinah and the White Rabbit. I've had really good luck ordering ornaments online from the Disney Store in the past, but in this case, I think I should be gotten them from Disneyland, where I could pick out the best ones from the rack.

I show my Belle doll with the outer skirt rotated to various positions, to see how it looks. I removed her purse for this experiment, so it wouldn't get in the way of rearranging her skirt. She is on her display stand, which is secured to the red carpet stage by a wire.

Mickey's plane, with the satin hanging ribbon removed.

I just received the January limited release of the monthly Disney Store Mickey Mouse Through the Years Sketchbook Ornament Set. It is a two ornament set based on the 1928 animated film Plane Crazy, which was the first Mickey Mouse short filmed, but not the first one released (which was Steamboat Willie). The main ornament is Mickey holding a book 'How to Fly' and a mirror. The smaller ornament is his plane (on a much smaller than Mickey). It is very well designed and made. It is still available online, but was never available at my local Disney Store.

Figurine next to the box.

I just received Premiere Series Cinderella from the Disney Store today. I ordered her on release day, Saturday October 13, 2018. She is #1607 of 4400. She arrived in perfect shape. However there was three fingerprints on the inside of the viewing window above her head, that you can see in some of the photos.

Her face and makeup are absolutely gorgeous. I wish her hair was closer to the design sketch. Also there is too much black in the skirt, and the outer tulle reminds me of LE Ursula's skirt. But overall she is very striking, and represents Cinderella very well. I rank her third in this doll series, after Snow White and Jasmine.

I show her boxed, and with the outer and inner front covers removed. I will debox her tomorrow.

I just received the Disney Designer Collection Premiere Series merchandise that I ordered online when they were released last Monday, September 17, 2018. They are the notecard set, the limited edition ornament set, and the limited edition pin sets. All of these items sold out on the release day. The notecards and possibly the ornament set will be available in stores later this month.

The ornament set contains framed artwork of the six Designer princesses, with their movie's year of release, icon and 'signature' in the back. They have gold strings to hang them up. They would be nice props to display next to the Designer dolls. They are made from resin, and are up to 4'' H. They are very impressive looking due to the large size, gold colored frames and striking artwork. It comes in a presentation box with a magnetic closure in the front lid. This is my favorite item among the merchandise I got today. It is a limited edition of 3100, and cost $59.95, which I think is a very reasonable price.

Deboxing LE Elena. All covers are removed, leaving her on the cardboard backing, which is free standing.

I got the Elena of Avalor LE 17 inch Doll from my local Disney Store on the release day, Tuesday November 21, 2017. I went to my store at 11:30 am, instead of my usual line up before the store opens for LE doll releases. There were three of the doll behind the counter, but placed sideways and with no promo placard. So it wasn't obvious that there was a Limited Edition doll release today. The CM I bought the doll from didn't seem to know anything about the release, so I don't know how many dolls the store got in, how many they sold, or how many were remaining. I took the first doll that was handed to me, since the doll looked perfect to me. She is #1375 of 6000.

Deboxing Moana. Front and rear covers taken off. The doll and accessories are now in clear view, but are still attached to the free standing cardboard backing and various plastic supports.

Here are detailed photos of my Disney Store Limited Edition Moana 17 inch doll, boxed and deboxed. She is #1531 of 6500. I also got a spare Moana that I will leave mint in box, but I haven't looked to see what edition number that doll has.

She has mock sand on her feet, and there is also sand on the base for Pua. Somewhat like glitter, the sand does shed, and found its way on the sides of the box, and on the doll itself. Some of the sand on the tips of her toes also got rubbed off.

Moana has a unique body, but is fully articulated. She has ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Instead of the chest joint that are on most of the female Disney Store 17 inch LE dolls, Moana has a waist pivot joint that allows her upper torso to spin around 360 degrees. This is similar to the Designer Princess waist joint, but is lower down her back, just above her butt. That is doubtless due to her bare midriff. With large her flat feet, Moana can free stand very stably. But I think that some of her joints are a little too loose, especially her waist joint.

Her body proportions are also unique for a Disney LE doll, but that is due to those of the animated character herself. In particular, her arms and legs are thicker than the other LE Princess dolls. Rather than the flat hands of the other LE Princess dolls, Moana has curved hands, which I think look more natural. Her face is very pretty and a very good likeness of the animated character. She has thick eyebrows, big brown eyes glancing to her upper right. She has short painted eyelashes, but no rooted eyelashes (like the LE Merida dolls). She has a large flat nose, and full dark brown lips in a closed mouth smile.

She has dark brown wavy hair that has a lot of hair product, so it feels a bit crunchy. Some of her hair was actually stuck to the plastic support, her body and her clothes, due to the hair product not being fully dry when she was assembled. There was also some bits of tissue paper stuck to her hair.

She has a garland of cloth leaves and plastic flowers on her head, It is permanently attached to her head. There are plastic leafy bands around her left arm and both ankles. The arm band was rather loose, and I had to keep on moving it back up her arm. I think it could use a rubber band to keep it tight, which I don't think I accidently cut when deboxing her. Her ankle bands did have rubber bands around them. She has a beaded plastic necklace with a shell pendant that opens. I removed the large rubber band around her upper chest and the plastic support that kept the pendent attached to her top. But I left the rubber bands that kept the upper part of the necklace in place. She has an short satin orange top with white beaded decoration. There is a matching belt or sash around her hips, over her skirt. Her skirt has two woven layers, with a straw underskirt.

Pua is very stable on the sand dune base (and there are indentations in the base to show where to place him). Hei Hei can free stand on Pua's head, but you have to place him very carefully, using the indentations on Pua's head as a guide. He can also be made secure by a rubberband around Pua's head and over Hei Hei's feet.

Moana's oar is placed on her left side in the box, but the way the handle is formed on the oar, it fits most easily on her right hand (to our left when she faces us).

Tiana has been fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by the included display stand.

Deboxing Tiana. I fixed the broken purse chain by using thread. It took me three tries and about 45 minutes to fix it so it didn't come loose again while posing her with the purse. I left the rubber band that secures the purse chain to her shoulder alone.

I received my Premiere Series Tiana doll on Friday, November 9. I had ordered her online from the Disney Store when she was released last Saturday, November 3, 2018. She is #253 of 4000. She is unusual in that her CoA number is only one greater than the Cart #252 that is on the original shipper label. All the other Premiere Series dolls so far have had an edition number 3 greater than the Cart #. The box and doll are close to perfect, except for a broken chain on her purse. I have read that this is a fairly common defect in the doll. Rather than trying to get a replacement from the Disney Store I think I will try to fix it on my own. She has a beautiful face, but the outfit is my least favorite of the series. The large yellow green cloth flower on her chest is really tacky and distracting, and covers her neck and part of her face. The neon yellow green of the skirt is also too gaudy for me, looks like a tutu, and the floral embroidery on her skirt looks childish. Her shoes are lovely, however. She is the fifth of the six doll series, with Belle being the last release in the US and Canada.

I show the box, and the doll with successive layers of the box removed, until the doll is in clear view. I will debox the doll soon.
