There was more than a hundred people waiting outside the Disney Store this morning. Fortunately most of them were after the Mickey merchandise, and I got picked in the raffle for Jasmine. Several collectors that I knew were also there, but none of them got picked. I selected the first doll that was handed to me at the register, since she looked perfect. I didn't bring my camera, so no photos from the release. She is #425 of 4000. I show her boxed, and with the inner box taken out and the front viewing window taken off. She is very beautiful and my second most favorite doll from the series. She is first one that I managed to get from the store raffle, so I could take her home on release day. I will debox her tomorrow.

Singing Cinderella is fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by a Kaiser stand.
I got the new Disney Store 11 1/2 inch singing Cinderella doll on Monday July 9, 2018. I also got the Ariel singing doll at the same time, whom I will show separately. There are also new singing Moana, Jasmine and Elsa dolls, which I have not gotten yet. They are showing up in various Disney Stores both here in the US and also in the UK, but are not yet available online.
She is in much simpler packaging than previous singing dolls, and has no accessories. She is also less expensive than previous singing dolls, only $19.99, just $5 more than a regular Classic doll. She has a lovely new face paint that is different than the current Classic doll.
Cinderella sings 'A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes' when you twist left her hand. Like Ariel, Cinderella only sings one verse of her song, lasting about 12 seconds. She has golden blonde hair, with gentle curls stiffened by hair product, so I left them mostly alone. She has a glittering dark pink dress, with white satin collar and hem, and decorated by pale pink ribbons. She has a pink sash around her waist, and a thin pink ribbon and bow in her hair. She has dark blue eyes, dark pink lips in an open mouth smile, and is glancing to her right. She is a beautiful doll, and is my second favorite 12 inch Cinderella doll, after the Heroes and Villains Cinderella.

Ariel and Eric are deboxed, and are side by side.
I got the Ariel and Eric 'Kiss the Girl' playset yesterday (Tuesday October 23) from my local Disney Store. It came out in the UK about three weeks ago, and I have been anxiously waiting for it to arrive in the US since then. It is in some stores in the US, but not online in the US ShopDisney site yet. It costs $59.95 (twice as much as the previous Classic Disney Doll playsets that came out this year), and is in a huge box. It has Ariel and Eric in a rowboat, with fishes and Flounder spouting water around them. There is also a Sebastian figure, and two more outfits for Ariel (mermaid and pink). I show the set boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed in various configurations. I put the set in front of the background formed by the inner box, and finally rebox the set.
Ariel is sporting her blue kingdom tour dress, and finally has her hair parted in the correct side of her head (on her left). She also has some heavily gelled bangs on her right side reminiscent of Snow Queen Elsa's crown of bangs.
Eric is in white shirt and blue pants, with black boots. He is remarkable in that he is the first Classic Prince doll to be fully articulated. He has the same body as Li Shang and Flynn Rider of the 2017 Disney Designer Collection limited edition doll sets. So he has a swivel jointed neck, and ball jointed elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. He can also sit without splaying his legs. As with most Prince dolls, he has a smaller head than his Princess, Ariel, which looks strange when they are side by side.
The boat can be separated from the base, consisting of the plastic water and fish. The oars can be separated from the boat. Sebastian can free stand, or can be inserted into peg at the bow of the boat.
This is a great set, and I think is worth the cost. The only problem is to find a place to put it, especially if it is out of the box.
LE Elena has been fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by the included display stand.
Some observations about the doll that weren't apparent before deboxing. She has a swivel waist, as did the original Designer Princess dolls, instead of the chest joint that most female LE 17 inch dolls have. I guess that is why the doll has the word Designer as part of her official name. The joint isn't so useful for this doll because of the stiffness of her upper dress. She also has hinge jointed knees and ball jointed ankles.
She has light gold colored shoes with low heels. They are also have embossed decorations with a blue jewel in each shoe. She has a bow in the back with the two ends of the ribbon forming a tail that is a couple of inches longer than the dress. There is a full length red satin skirt under the decorated overskirt. Under that is a double layered tulle petticoat that is an inch shorter than the skirt.
She can hold the scepter in her hand only with the help of a rubber band, which I left from the original packaging. Finally her pony tail is fairly stiff with hair product, and is heavy so it tends to pull her head backwards and to her right (our left when she is facing us). This is similar to the problem with the heavy ponytail of the LE Jasmine dolls.
I got the Elena of Avalor LE 17 inch Doll from my local Disney Store on the release day, Tuesday November 21, 2017. I went to my store at 11:30 am, instead of my usual line up before the store opens for LE doll releases. There were three of the doll behind the counter, but placed sideways and with no promo placard. So it wasn't obvious that there was a Limited Edition doll release today. The CM I bought the doll from didn't seem to know anything about the release, so I don't know how many dolls the store got in, how many they sold, or how many were remaining. I took the first doll that was handed to me, since the doll looked perfect to me. She is #1375 of 6000.

Anna's coronation gown is fairly accurate, except for the heavily glittered skirt. I would have preferred the version that was in the Disney Parks Anna Doll Dress Set (2016). The glitter sheds readily, including on her legs, which is hard to get off since the rubbery legs have a sticky surface. However, the glitter does make the skirt stiff so it can keep a full shape with the need for a petticoat. Her pendant necklace is by far the most accurate that has been produced for a 12 inch doll. Her face mold is the same as the one they produced for the OFA 12 inch Anna dolls. Her face paint is very similar, except that they made her freckles more prominent and her rouge is darker. Her hair is also essentially the same as on the OFA doll, except for a prominent white streak. Whereas the pendant looks very good, her crown looks mighty cheap. She has black flats. Her outfit is a definite improvement over the 2014 Deluxe Singing Anna Doll, but I wish she had her old cute face.
I just bought the newly released 12 inch singing dolls from my local Disney Store. They are not yet available online. They had Aurora (as Briar Rose), Belle (in her Winter outfit) and Anna (in her Coronation outfit). They are $19.95 each, and have the same packaging as the Ariel, Cinderella, Elsa, Jasmine and Moana singing dolls released in 2018. They sing for about 15 seconds when you twist their left hand (to your right as you face them). Aurora sings 'Once Upon a Dream' acapella, Belle sings 'Something There' acapella and Anna sings 'Love Is an Open Door' with musical accompaniment.

Too bad that the outfit is plastic, appears to be molded to her body, as opposed to a removable fabric outfit. I think her face is prettier than the mini doll that comes with the Tollytots OZ doll.

I got Ariel today. I ordered her online on release day, October 27, 2018. She is #2047 of 4500. She and the box arrived in perfect shape. However, the invitation card has slipped down in the plastic sleeve, and won't stay up. I love her face and hair, but her dress is a bit too gaudy for my taste, although it is appropriate for an 80's girl. Her hair is stiff at the ends to keep its curl, so it got a little messy when I broke it up to even out her hair in the back. I cut off the rubber band securing the purse string to her shoulder. I had to use a little tape to keep it from sliding off her shoulder afterwards. I show her boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed. I have her now on my desk, right next to me as I type this. It is convenient that I got her just before the next one, Tiana, is released tomorrow.

I debox Aurora first, and will debox the others soon. Aurora is in her purple and black peasant outfit, with glitter floral design on her skirt. The glitter is well glued and doesn't shed. There is a crimson satin shawl around her arms, and a black satin ribbon in her golden blonde hair. Her straight bangs are a little too long, and partially hide her left eye. Her hair is soft except for her bangs, and end in gentle curls. There is a small red cloth rose with a short green stem. I left the rubberband securing it to her right hand. She has violet eyes glancing to her left, and dark pink lips in an open smile. She is barefoot, with rubber legs and fixed angled feet (as if she is on tip toes). Her left arm, which has the singing switch in her wrist, has a fixed elbow. She is a beautiful and fairly accurate depiction of Briar Rose.

Designer Cruella De Vil Doll In Display Case
At my Disney Store, the right to buy Maleficent today was ''raffled'' off to twenty lucky people. There were maybe 30-40 people entered, and I was not one of the winners. So I will have to get her online tonight. There were a total of 13,000 of each doll produced, so there should be no problem getting a doll online.
Individual dolls may be purchased online and in stores beginning on September 10, 2012, and ending on October 15. One doll will be made available on in stores Monday of each week. Then on Tuesday (at 12 am Pacific Time) that doll will be available online. Here is the list of the dolls and their release dates:
September 10, 2012: Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty (1959).
September 17, 2012: Evil Queen, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
September 24, 2012: Queen of Hearts, from Alice in Wonderland (1951).
October 01, 2012: Ursula, from The Little Mermaid (1989).
October 08, 2012: Mother Gothel, from Tangled (2010).
October 15, 2012: Cruella de Vil, from One Hundred and One Dalmations (1961).
Cinderella and Lady Tremaine
By Official Disney Store Blogger, Aug 12, 2016 10:00 AM
Inspired by Disney’s heritage of fairytales comes the 2016 Disney Fairytale Designer Collection: Heroes and Villains – Part 2.
Disney’s Fairytale Designer Collection celebrates legendary heroes and villains in a series inspired by beloved Disney fairytales. Disney Store artists have captured the timeless struggle between good and evil in magnificent detail, conveying both the wonderful wickedness, and bold, heroic spirit of these unforgettable characters. Rich, evocative and dramatic, the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection will be a treasured keepsake for collectors and Disney fans for years to come.
The newest series of the collection features four sets of Limited Edition dolls, each designed by Disney Store artists and carefully crafted to capture the beauty and romance of fairytale friends and foes.
Limited to an edition of 6,000 of each of the four couples globally, each Doll Set retails for $129.95 US / $159.95 CAN and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Beginning September 6, a new couple will be available for purchase every two weeks. See below for specific release dates. The Doll Sets will be available in select Disney Store locations in North America (see below for full list) and Europe, and online at disneystore.com, disneystore.co.uk, disneystore.fr and disneystore.de. Check your local Disney Store for availability.
Additionally, for North America , online only, the set including ALL four couples will be available for pre-purchase on Wednesday, August 31, for $519.80. This will be the ONLY opportunity to guarantee a purchase of all four couples. The entire set will be delivered on or shortly after October 18.
Disney Fairytale Designer Doll Collection Release Dates
Cinderella and Lady Tremaine – available in Stores September 6 and online September 7
Belle and Gaston – available in Stores September 20 and online September 21
Alice and the Red Queen* – available in Stores October 4 and online October 5
Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent – available in Stores October 18 and online October 19
*Please note that in this exclusive Alice and the Red Queen set, Alice is paired with ‘The Queen of Hearts’ from the traditional Alice in Wonderland tale. While the box and certificate of authentication correctly reference ‘The Queen of Hearts,' the plaque shown on the display case describes this character as the Red Queen. We apologize for the misuse of this character name.
This release was also announced today by the Disney Store Facebook page, with a different set of images of at the dolls (smaller scale and with different backgrounds).
Anna fully deboxed and standing, supported by a Kaiser stand.
I got the Anna and Elsa Doll Set for Olaf's Frozen Adventure, from my local Disney Store on Wednesday September 27, 2017. They are in the new Holiday outfits, made of faux suede. Elsa has a cape attached to the back of her dress, and has a fur collar with embedded red jewels. Anna has a jacket that is sewn to her bodice. They both have the new style rubber legs with flat feet. Elsa has flat heeled ice shoes, which are a loose fit. Anna has boots with low heels. Anna is about 1/4 inch taller than Elsa (11 1/2 vs 11 1/4 inches), which looks awkward when they are side by side. They both have new face sculpts, for the first time since their original Classic dolls were introduced in 2013. I like how they look, but I like Elsa more than Anna. The old faces looked younger and cuter, but the new faces are more movie accurate.

Singing Ariel is fully deboxed. She is standing up, supported by a Kaiser stand.
I got the new Disney Store 11 1/2 inch singing Ariel doll on Monday July 9, 2018. I also got the Cinderella singing doll at the same time, whom I will show separately. They are showing up in various Disney Stores both here in the US and also in the UK, but are not yet available online.
She is in much simpler packaging than previous singing dolls, and has no accessories. She is also less expensive than previous singing dolls, only $19.99, just $5 more than a regular Classic doll. Ariel has a lovely new face paint that is different than the current Classic Ariel doll.
Ariel sings 'Part of Your World'. Ariel is in mermaid form, with a purple bra that has a large blue gem in the middle, and an iridescent dark blue-green tail with light blue-green fins.
I have deboxed Singing Ariel and will post detailed photos of her soon.
She has a pink cloth flower in her hair, with a yellow jewel in the center. It is tacked to her head with a T-tab. There is glitter on her bra, and in the tulle fins and fringe around her waist, but sheds very little, if at all. Her satin tail is iridescent, and has outlines of scales printed in black. She has the new style rubber legs, with internal click stop knee joints, and fixed flat feet.
But I have bad news about her singing. She only sings one verse of 'Part of Your World', which lasts about 12 seconds, and that's it. I thought that was just the Try Me mode, but there is no pull tab, or alternate switch position to make the song segment longer. And when you twist her hand again, the same verse repeats itself. Boo! The previous Ariel singing dolls (both 12 inch and 16 inch) all sang three verses of the song, lasting about 30 seconds. Some of the other 12 inch singing dolls from past years would sing 2 verses, or about 20 seconds of their song, but this new Ariel only singing one verse is very disappointing, despite her low price compared to past singing dolls.

Her left arm, which has the singing switch in her wrist, has a fixed elbow. She is a beautiful and fairly accurate depiction of Briar Rose.
Detailed photos of the Olaf's Frozen Adventure Anna Limited Edition Doll. I got her from my local Disney Store on release day, Tuesday December 12, 2017, along with Elsa. I was the only one waiting for the dolls before the store opened. She is #1234 of 7000, which I think is a really cool number.
I like her a lot more than I thought I would from the stock and leaked photos. I don't think she looks goofy, even with her smirk. But I do think that her in box pose is very awkward. The nicest thing I've discovered about the doll is that she has lavender tights, which compares nicely with the green tights of FF Anna.
I show her in box, and with all the covers removed. I will debox her later. I show her next to my deboxed Frozen Fever Anna doll, who I think is closest to her in design among the Anna LE dolls.

The Disney Designer Collection is proud to present the Premiere Series, breathtaking collector's dolls inspired by the fashions on runways and red carpets during the year of each theatrical debut. The dolls, garments, and accessories have been carefully crafted to combine a moment in fashion history with the unmistakable signature icons of our beloved Disney heroines.
The Little Mermaid was first released in 1989 during a time when red carpet couture was as rebellious and bold as the leading lady of Disney animation's renaissance period.

I went to the Disney Store closest to home to buy Wreck-It Ralph merchandise, using the 25% off coupon that is good this weekend. To my surprise, they still had the Sgt. Deboxing of new Classic Mother Gothel. The doll has been removed from the box, but she is still attached to the backing and spacers by thread, rubber and plastic bands, T-tabs and wires.
First look at the fully posable Disney Store Classic Mother Gothel 12'' doll. She has the new body with fully articulated legs - new knee and ankle joints. She is the same doll as original Classic Mother Gothel doll in all other ways. She has been available online for several months, but I just recently started seeing her in stores. I bought her at the same time that I got the new Classic Evil Queen and Maleficent dolls.
