At first my composition was going to be a little more further from the line tower, but as the camera was taking the exposure I walked closer and liked this view way more. Always pays to explore the scene and work the subject.
Not much Flickr-ing from me lately, still don't have my own internet sorted.
But anyways, have a great rest of the week guys!

From Amsterdam towards Hongkong via Northern corridor to avoid dangerous zones in Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa. We flew via Moscow as the most logical choice.
Taken with a Samsung mobile as I was not allowed to bring my back-up batteries in my hand luggage for security reason. Make sure you check this with the airlines.

ps i'm not recommending any of these cookery adventures. they suit my personal taste. photographing to encourage myself to eat more healthily ...
i've created a group www.flickr.com/groups/cooking_is_my_hobby/ to gather ideas and encourage myself to continue with healthy eating by learning from others if you're interested in cooking, sometimes or a lot, or enjoy the cooking of others, you're always welcome ...
This is the sister image of 'The Apostles and Gibson Steps at Sunset' (www.flickr.com/photos/105008685@N06/33733603695/) and was taken at roughly the same time and from the same viewing platform but facing in the opposite direction.
This is by far the more popular shot and I had to wait a while for a sufficient gap to open up in the crowd and allow me to set-up. It was worth the wait though as the light that evening was beautiful.

VL80s-1981 awaits its next turn at the eastern end of the huge Temirtau Marshalling yards, Karaganda Oblast, Kazakhstan. May the 17th 2024.
ВЛ80с-1981 на станции Жанааул, Темитрау. Карагандинская область, Казахстан.
We do have one last plan for our final morning in Temirtau. As we never had any trouble there we will go to the Janaaul station and await the arrival of a morning commuter train, there is one shown as calling there on google earth. There is no timetable posted at the station and nothing at the terminus in Temirtau either. The terminus building has been given over to government tax office use and the train stops on grass covered tracks alongside coal wagons, we checked it out the afternoon prior. Driving out to the station we see a white electric suburban unit heading in the direction of Temirtau. We will sit it out and await its return. The yard tannoy sounds just before everytime something moves, which is generally the ChME3 on hump shunting movements, including the cutting off of the various wagons. The shouts - unintelligible to us - ricochet across the yards from the multiple speakers placed around the complex. It is quite phsycedelic in its own way and we amuse ourselves in our own solitary manner as we pass the time in the morning sun awaiting the white commuter train to return.
The previous post was from my favorite night of shooting in California (and perhaps anywhere) and this was is as well, only about 16 minutes later and facing the other direction.
I was thrilled after arriving when I realized the long sloping shore and low tide made for perfect reflections. I had never shot a reflection before and didn't have much to go on so I did a mix of both long and short exposures for the next few hours.
As I shot, the sky became more and more vibrant and the intensity of the sunset was unlike anything I've ever seen. The colors changed rapidly and the concentrated crimson sky in the previous post seemed to appear out of nowhere and faded not too long after. For about a half hour, people slowly gathered around the area I was shooting, watching the sky and taking videos and photos with their phones.
After the crimson began to fade away, the people left and I was all alone on the beach again, shooting until the last dot of color was gone from the sky. A bit of that fiery red is still visible in the far right and the colors were still very bold at this point, but it wasn't long after this that the only light between me and the pier was the the flashlight on my phone and the planes overhead.
I arrived here in no hurry and with very little expectations other than the hope for a nice sunset and a new place to shoot. I ended up being the last person to leave the beach and I returned a half dozen times over the next month hoping for a repeat sky that never came.

In Utah, pick any direction and drive. You’ll run into mountains, lakes, red rock, desert and endless skies. It’s always an adventure!
Ivan Vazov National Theater, Sofia, Bulgaria
The theatre pays great attention to the development of national playwriting, and at the same time the National Theatre is open to all innovative and remarkable creative initiatives.
The theatre building was designed by the famous architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer and completed in 1906. The theatre has three stages: the Main Stage with 780 seats, the Chamber Hall with 135 seats and the Apostol Karamitev Stage with 88 seats. However, other spaces, including rehearsal rooms, balconies and spaces around the building, have built a reputation as a venue for artistic events and are open to diverse ideas.
