I was going to name this “Pelican Bay”… because of the pelican. However, the scene was actually shot at Charlotte Harbor in southwestern Florida. Incidentally, the small boat is a lobster or crab fisherman's… if you enlarge the photo sufficiently, you can see one of the large traps on his boat.

Hello Everyone,

Zinnias are one of my favourite cutflowers and the show of zinnias was terrific this year! (They like heat)! While out walking, I spotted a house that sported zinnias along the sidewalk, around the home, along the driveway and just about everywhere! I didn't have my camera so I used my phone for the shot. Then, I couldn't help but have a little fun with these already joyful flowers.

Trillingeranke - Bougainvillea, Reflections

I was recently standing along a back road here in Alaska, taking in the beauty of spring. Leaves were popping out around me - beautiful snow covered mountains surrounded me - and the sun was warm on my shoulders - when suddenly . . . (with great fanfare and much squawking) - two Canadian Geese settled down not far from where I stood. After their long flight, I think they were in need of some rest, and maybe a long drink from one of the many ponds that dot our vast wilderness.
