View On Black

I keep having wild deer encounters and either not having a camera, not enough light, or the angle, or line of sight is impossible. So today I took the shot anyway, figuring I might be able to make something of it when I got home.

This image was created in Picassa, layered - you can see the starting image below, I think. I layered it with a shot of backlit bracken and a texture layer of my own

Slightly altered to simulate a vacuum... October colors disappearing into the monochrome November.

Alaska is deep in snow, and that is all I see in the weather forecast for the next couple of weeks.

Most remote cabins are reachable by snowmachine in the winter, but too much snow makes it difficult for even the toughest Alaskans to get to them now. I hope the snow melts slowly come breakup. If not, we will all float away.

The outside temperature at our cabin this morning is eight degrees above zero, and cloudy - and it looks pretty much like you see in this photo.

"Portrait of a girl" (1879) by Mary Cassatt was used for this creation.

"Portrait de fillette", une huile sur toile de 1879 par Mary Cassatt a été utilisée pour cette création.

It's currently -26C/-15F, so I can't help but dream of warmer days. I took the garden scene to Topaz Studio 2 where I added an effect and saturated the colours for Sliders Sunday. HSS!

Thank you for your views and comments, all are appreciated! Have a great day!

The tulip was already splashy, so I couldn't help but add effects and saturate the colours in Topaz Studio 2. Happy Sliders Sunday! HSS!

Thanks for looking and for leaving me a comment! have a wonderful day and week ahead!

Color, b&w, warped...

An old IR photo made with 590 IR filter.

For my own information: processed for an atypical result, creating a new version using the red-blue channel swap usually used in processing 590 images (turning the orange-yellow original into a bluer image, but than merging that new image with the original, with an overlay blend in PS of 50%. Result = a pinkish/purplish color cast and higher contrast between the bird shapes and the clouds. I took the original photo on the spur of the moment as a southward flying flock of geese flew directly overhead, revealing an arrangement of backlit goose silhouettes.

Hi All!

What can I say?!!!

Just a little fun with a phone image I took a few years back. I saw this character staring down at me in a curio store which made me laugh, so I snapped it. I always planned to do something with this odd find and figured today was the day! Edited with effects from Photoshop Elements 15 and Topaz Studio.

Thanks a million for stopping by and leaving a comment, always appreciated! Have a SPOOKTACULAR weekend!!!!!!

Digital manipulation of a macro flower photo, enhancing color, contrast, edges, and detail, while adding a subtle painterly effect. Cropped to square format. A wild geranium, I think.
