To keep the African daisy looking fresh, it was wrapped in plastic in PSElements 2023, then I added another effect in Topaz Studio 2. Lotsa fun was had! Happy Sliders Sunday! HSS!

Hi All!

What can I say?!!!

Just a little fun with a phone image I took a few years back. I saw this character staring down at me in a curio store which made me laugh, so I snapped it. I always planned to do something with this odd find and figured today was the day! Edited with effects from Photoshop Elements 15 and Topaz Studio.

Thanks a million for stopping by and leaving a comment, always appreciated! Have a SPOOKTACULAR weekend!!!!!!

Something magical the first rays of the day.

In modern Alaska, (as well as in the early days of our beautiful state) - elevated storage “caches” typically consist of small rustic log cabins built atop four legs, well above the reach of pilfering animals, and reachable by removable ladders. It is also wise to wrap a length of metal around each leg to keep rodents and squirrels from scaling their way to the top.

I captured this image at the northern most end of the Inside Passage in southeast Alaska.

I keep having wild deer encounters and either not having a camera, not enough light, or the angle, or line of sight is impossible. So today I took the shot anyway, figuring I might be able to make something of it when I got home.

This image was created in Picassa, layered - you can see the starting image below, I think. I layered it with a shot of backlit bracken and a texture layer of my own

Slightly altered to simulate a vacuum... October colors disappearing into the monochrome November.

The butterfly must have been in nirvana to have so many verbena blooms to take nectar from. It was flitting from flower to flower like a maniac that day. For Sliders Sunday, I used an impressionism filter in Topaz Studio 2 and slightly saturated the colours. I hope you enjoy! HSS!

Tonight will be the last full moon of the decade. I don't know how clear it will be here in Alaska - but I look forward to images from other parts of the world.

Last night clouds swirled over the face of the moon, making it impossible to get a nice clear shot. Just after dinner I looked out and decided to capture a few images looking down one of our trails. Since it is a rather hum-drum picture, I decided to take it into Topaz Studio and play with sliders. Now I will wait and see what tonight will bring.

It's currently -26C/-15F, so I can't help but dream of warmer days. I took the garden scene to Topaz Studio 2 where I added an effect and saturated the colours for Sliders Sunday. HSS!

Thank you for your views and comments, all are appreciated! Have a great day!

The original photograph taken in the Water Lily House at the Botanical Gardens in Oxford. I was drawn to the light play and the reflections on the water.
