One of the difficulties faced by children's charity Friendship Works was promoting its activities without using photographs of children. The charity required a visual style and means of communication that could be associated with the charity and used across outward-facing collateral, both online and in print.
gtcreate designed a series of illustrations based around the letters of the alphabet, and created using a distinctive hand-drawn style. The illustrations, which depict a range of childhood scenes, are light-hearted in tone while remaining sensitive to the nature of the charity’s work, focusing on the central concept that all children have the right to an untroubled childhood.
Here Dr Tahira Rubab Hafeez is explaining that knowledge is seen as a crucial resource and a key to competitiveness. Sharing information is a crucial activity for the organization's success. Individuals, on the other hand, may face difficulties in sharing information since they are giving up the unique right to particular knowledge that they hold. Psychological well-being is a key aspect in encouraging knowledge-sharing in difficult conditions.
Individuals and businesses rely on knowledge to generate new information, fix errors, analyze activities, and create value. It is also an important component of innovation, which is crucial for enterprises in modern society. Unlike other tangible resources for organizational performance, knowledge does not reduce in the process of sharing with others; rather, the possibility of fresh knowledge being generated and shared increases. From an organizational standpoint, sharing information is a means to increase all of the organization's resources, which is a significant approach to boosting efficiency. Furthermore, in the present company climate, where homework, online activities, and digitalization are becoming more prevalent, the value of information exchange among employees is rising. However, from each member's perspective, knowledge-sharing is not an absolute benefit. Instead, it is a conundrum. A person with knowledge is highly prized as a human resource and is rewarded more. Giving up one's exclusive position in that particular knowledge field is what it means to share knowledge. An organization member is therefore motivated to keep the knowledge to themselves. Studies of the motives for knowledge sharing or concealment frequently focus on the tension between personal interests.
This second clip increases in difficulty from the last one, as the movements are sharper and almost violent, whilst still being quite stiff. This type of dance is a mix of ‘Voguing’ and ‘Tutting’. Unfortunately the camera in the video is quite far away from the dancers, but the majority of movements done by them can still be seen. If I had the time, I would absolutely animate this fully (as this is only a short clip of the full dance.)
I've always wanted to look at a certain someone and blatantly tell them that this is who I am. I am just a soul wearing skin labeled Heather. I have feelings, I have dreams, and I have secrets but I'm happy. If you are not happy then you are not living.
We had some difficulty identifying this fox seen on the far end airfield during the return leg of our longest penetration along the pipeline road in Kaa Iya National Park in the South-east of Bolivia. Our guide said it was "Yellow-legged Fox" which googling determined was local parlance for Pampas Fox but we were puzzled by the markings, which seemed spot-on for Culpeo! Further research and consultation with mammal-watchers via the internet determined it was indeed Pampas Fox.
Im in this show here starting on the 13th of March till sometime in April. Its all about robums and cybums. Actually its about robots.
The difficulties involved in building the steel ribbon through the gorges of eastern Turkey were immense. While Kayseri was reached in 1927 and Sivas two years later, it took a full ten years before the line to Erzurum could be completed. The railway largely follows the courses of the Karaboğaz, Çaltı, and Euphrates rivers, but required countless tunnels and bridges.

For this series DVD's were scratched than viewed and photographed at moments were the "glitch" became art.
"Now stand on one leg, bend the other leg 90 degrees, turn your head, and put your left hand up. Yeah, just like that."
Though Geoffrey deHavilland was successful with the DH.60 Moth series of trainers and light aircraft, he felt the design could be improved--the pilot would have difficulty bailing out of the front cockpit because of the placement of the fuel tank, and the Moth had poor ground clearance. With this in mind, deHavilland moved the top wing forward and reduced the distance between the wings; he also added an uprated Gipsy III engine. The result was at first designated DH.60T, T standing for trainer, but it soon acquired the nickname "Tiger," which led to the aircraft being named Tiger Moth. DeHavilland felt that this was practically a new design, and so it was designated the DH.82. The first flew in October 1931.
The Tiger Moth was a perfect trainer, and it would quickly replace other primary trainers in Royal Air Force service. It was liked not just for its easy handling and maintenance, but also because it could be somewhat difficult in spins and stalls--the Tiger Moth would not be completely forgiving of a green pilot. This was an advantage, as new pilots would learn how to get out of bad situations that would kill them in a more advanced aircraft; it would also weed out anyone who had no business flying. Tiger Moths were in such demand by both military and civilian customers that deHavilland had trouble producing any other design.
By the beginning of World War II in 1939, the DH.82 was the primary trainer for the British Empire. As training programs grew exponentially, civilian-owned Tiger Moths were impressed into military service. Because deHavilland was also going to be producing combat aircraft (such as the Mosquito), production was turned over to other companies, such as deHavilland Canada and Morris. By war's end, practically every pilot who served in the RAF or associated air forces of the Empire had started off in the Tiger Moth. By 1945, when production ended, nearly 9000 had been built.
Because so many were available and because of its superb reputation, war surplus Tiger Moths were quickly bought by pilots around the world; in Europe, with no real competition (as there was in the United States with Beech and Cessna), the DH.82 became the most favorite sport flyer for decades to come; the British Fleet Air Arm still had a flight in service as late as 1970. Homebuilt kits were also offered to enthusiasts. Today, the Tiger Moth is still a relatively common sight at warbird and sport flying meets.
This is not per se a "real" Tiger Moth; it's a homebuilt version. It was built by a Washington flyer in 2008 and flown for almost a decade before being retired and donated to the Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon. The color scheme could be a prewar RAF one; most wartime training schemes were either overall yellow or camouflage over yellow. It looks good, though--this aircraft is pristine, and in theory still flyable.
The Department of English at ASU presented Tom Mole, Director of the Centre for the History of the Book at the University of Edinburgh, who delivered the talk, “Byron and the Difficulty of Beginning.”
Mole's lecture explored Byron’s “anxieties about the poetic act of beginning” and his techniques for overcoming them, which included “revising opening lines, using translations from other poets to begin his poems, repurposing lines he had written in another context, multiplying prefatory paratexts, or [even] asking other people to make [the] decisions.” The talk emerged from his three recent books: What the Victorians Made of Romanticism; The Broadview Introduction to Book History, and Interacting with Print.

After suffering financial difficulties in the 1650s, Rembrandt moved to a rental house on the Rozengracht. The Amsterdam élite no longer knocked on his door as often as they had done before. He nevertheless remained popular: this important guild commissioned him to paint a group portrait. Rembrandt produced a lively scene by having the wardens look up from their work as if interrupted by our arrival.
