Lovely view point just below Grindslow Knoll, looking out across the Vale of Edale to Stanage Edge in the far distance. A slightly frustrating afternoon as the light didn't develope as hoped. Spot lights of warm light would reach as far as the hill on the left but fizzle out before reaching the valley. A return visit is on the cards.

Built in 1935 in Bexhill, Sussex. The manifesto was for
"A modernist building of world renown that will become a crucible for creating a new model of cultural provision in an English seaside town which is going to lead to the growth, prosperity and the greater culture of our town"
Well perhaps, but it is widely recognised as one of the most iconic Modernist buildings in Britain.
We haven't had the rains and flooding of the continent but the last week has been depressingly gloomy. It was meant to be better yesterday, I was on my own and planned to get away for some much overdue colour shooting. Alas, apart from the five minutes or so around which I took this It was grey featureless skies. The analogue produces a bleak run down seaside town feel though

Pushed one stop in Tmax Develope
It all began when a friend of mine gave me an used underwater disposable camera to develope. After doing the work, I managed to reload the camera with some expired Fomapan 100...here are the two best shots of the roll, developed in Rodinal 1+50. Film photography never lets you down !! :)
Plaxton replaced the long running Paramount coach range in October 1991, when it launched the Premiere and Excalibur. The new Plaxton coach range cost £3.5 million to design and develope and were the first coaches to meet the new European R66 safety legiaslation, regarding roll over protection. The Paramount 4000 was the only version of the Paramount to remain in production. The Premiere was available in two heights: 320 (3.2-metres) and 350 (3.5-metres). The Premiere was built on Volvo, Dennis, DAF and Scania chassis. The Excalibur was Plaxton's flagship coach, available in one height: 3.5-metres and one length: 12-metres. At first the Excalibur could only be built the Volvo B10M, later it was built on the rear-engined Volvo B12T chassis and Dennis Javelin GX chassis. The Excalibur featured a raked back front windsreen, with the rest of the body structure was based on the Premiere. Some people say, that there was a hint of Duple styling about the Excalibur, this came about after Plaxton had bought the rights to Duple's coach range in 1989. Both the Premiere and Excalibur suffered from water leaks and other problems. Park's of Hamilton and Wallace Arnold had both taken the early production Premiere and Excalibur coaches and never bought any more for a number of years, in the case of Park's it was not until the latter part of the 90s that they purchased any more Plaxton coaches. In October 1999 Plaxton launched a new coach range the Paragon and Panther, thus replacing the Premiere and Excalibur, although both models did stay in production for a few more months, plus the Prima, based on the Premiere 320 stayed in production, until the Profile replaced. I was at Lymm Truck Stop yesterday and photographed this stunning Plaxton Excalibur Volvo B10M, owned by Coach Services of Gatley, Cheadle in Cheshire. The coach was new to Elcock Reisen of Telford, before Coach Services purchased it, Bullock's Coaches of Cheadle had owned it. The chassis is the MkIV B10M, this being the final version of the B10M. I got low down, to get this dramatic view of the Excalibur. It just shows what a nice livery, wheel trims and after market rear view mirrors can do for a coach. The owner told me, the coach had cost him £50,000 and looks the part, when parked alongside new £200,000 coaches.

==================
Picture taken with a Kodak Medalist I camera, made in 1944 during WW2, and probably for the US Navy or Army. Ilford FP4+ 125 develope in HC110.
I took the pictures in to be developed a day or two before the L. A. RIOTS broke out in April 1992. When the SHOOT , SCOOT & LOOT was over at FEDCO, they tried to set the store on fire, but the automatic sprinklers came on and some of the pictures show water damage and very slight to a lot of exposure damage. My other rolls of film were completely wasted. I finally got these pictures back about a year later.
Now four of these photos I processed myself because at the time Fedco didn't develope the images because they thought the film was too badly damaged to do anything with. So I just got the negatives. Well I remedied that problem. I had a lot of negatives but didn't want to pay a lot of money to take them to a film lab. So I bought a Kodak Slide 'N Scan digital Film scanner, no old school chemicals and dark room needed. Ain't technology gr8?

The Chrysler Sunbeam had been aimed at the super-mini sector when launched in 1977. But it was felt that a hot hatch was needed to boost the sporty image. To this end the Chrysler Sunbeam Ti was launched in 1979 with a 1600 cc twin Weber carbs and an output of 100 bhp
Chrysler had also commissioned Lotus to develope a rally version. The car was unveiled at the 1979 Geneva Motor show , but the road going version was not offered to the public until after the re-branding and became the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus. With a 2172 cc version of the Lotus 2.0 ltr 16v engine and ZF gearbox. This one of the later facelift cars with the modified head lights. The earlier short (134) is of a pre-facelift car with the original head lights.
The car won the World Rally Championship with Henri Toivonen in 1981 and the 1980 Lombard RAC Rally

A wet Oakum Boy, a King Penguin chick, stands on a Tussock Mound during a snowstorm as it awaits the return of its parents from their foray to sea for food.
The Chicks are called Oakum Boys because they are the color of the pitch soaked hemp that the old timers used to caulk the wooden decks of their sailing vessels. As an aside, if they didn't do a good job, the water could come in at the bow and roll towards the stern a bit before it dripped down. Caulking decks was an art much appreciated.
The King Penguin is the only Penguin that lays twoce every three years. It takes 13-14 months for these guys to fledge. In the meantime they develope ravenous appetites and eventually appear to be much larger than their parents.
Every other Penguin lays annualy as their Chicks do not take as long to grow to juvenile status and leave.

The BMW 600 is a four-seater microcar designed by Willie Black, partially based on the BMW Isetta two-seater, it was BMW's first postwar four-seater economy car produced with the intention of providing BMW with the resources to develope new models independantly.
As a result, the 600 used the front suspension and front door of the Isetta, the desire to build the car to carry four people required a longer frame, a different rear suspension, and a larger engine. A new perimeter frame was designed, using box section side members and straight tube cross members, The rear suspension was an independent semi trailing arm design; this was the first time BMW had used this system. the chassis had a wheelbase of 67 inches and a front track of 47 inches.
The 600 was powered by the 582 cc (35.5 cu in) flat-twin engine from the R67 motorcycle/sidecar combination producing 19.5 hp mated to a four speed gearbox hile a Saxomat semi-automatic transmission was available
Access to the rear seats was by a conventional door on the right side of the vehicle
