The Belle Vue stadium has been the home of Wakefield Trinity since 1874 but it is showing its age now.. It is the oldest original stadium in the rugby league and has far too many Victorian aspects.
Yesterday it was announced that Wakefield would remain at the stadium for another year whilst plans would be worked at with the new freeholder to develope this site. Let's see what comes of this, it might just be the answer all Wakefiekd Trinity fans are looking for.
This picture was taken during a recent derby game against Castleford.

The Chrysler Sunbeam had been aimed at the super-mini sector when launched in 1977. But it was felt that a hot hatch was needed to boost the sporty image. To this end the Chrysler Sunbeam Ti was launched in 1979 with a 1600 cc twin Weber carbs and an output of 100 bhp
Chrysler had also commissioned Lotus to develope a rally version. The car was unveiled at the 1979 Geneva Motor show , but the road going version was not offered to the public until after the re-branding and became the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus. With a 2172 cc version of the Lotus 2.0 ltr 16v engine and ZF gearbox
The car won the World Rally Championship with Henri Toivonen in 1981 and the 1980 Lombard RAC Rally. This is a pre-facelift model, the following shot (135) shows the newer style head light.

SOOC. It was a rainy lazy day. This was taken at my cousin's house, the lighting was perfect so i started to take photos of the bed alone, then Nemo came in and jumped up and modeled for me :) He actually stayed still....for a little while that is.
my grandma's old film camera that i started to use around last autumn, i finally finished the roll today (i shouldn't say finally- i rushed the rest of the shots today, because i kept trying to find more excuses to waste the rest of the roll because of personal reasons) and i realized that photos 1 - 12 are very very personal due to serious nostalgia and i didn't realize those moments were so scarce back then and now they do not exist anymore. When i shot the last photo on the roll, it slowly rewinded. When i saw those numbers counting down i felt scared, im terrified to develope this roll, espically those 12 first shots i took with that camera. this worries me, i can't describe this type of worry though. it took a while for it to count down from 37 to 1. and while each number decreased i suddenly remembered what each photo probably was, 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 and zero. memories counted down backwards...the ones that are gone and hard to think back to. i am nervous but i am going to get them developed before summer ends i have decided. and then here comes the feeling i had thought i have forgotten.
you don't understand.
i don't know what to expect at the studio tomorrow, i am waking up early and i am going to be there all day like last week. i don't know what to expect with helping out my mentor with a handful of senior portraits, nerves nerves. i don't think there will be enough time to ask him if he knows what is wrong with my AE-1 Canon film camera :p so i guess, ill just take it to a camera shop soon-ish ._.although i don't have time to this week

Rover 3.5 litre P5B (1967-73) Engine 3528cc V8 Saloon Production 9099 Coupe (+ 11501 Saloon)
Registration Number TST 361 K
ROVER SET
www.flickr.com/photos/45676495@N05/sets/72157623690660271...
The P5 Rover is a series of large luxury Saloons and Coupes, designed by David Bache and first introduced in the form of a 3 litreSaloon in 1958.
The final iteration of the P5 appeared in September 1967 powered by a former Buick 3528cc V8. Rover had lacked the funds and time to develope their own V8 so instead decided to redevelope a lightweight aluminium concept engine that Buick had not taken up. They made it considerably stronger, which added some weight but still maintained the engine's light and compact features with an output of 160bhp. When compared to its predecessor, the aluminium engine enabled the car to offer improved performance and fuel economy with greater power and the lesser weight. Borg Warner Type-35 automatic transmission, hydrosteer variable ratio power steering became standard.
The exterior was mostly unchanged, apart from bold '3.5 Litre' badging, a pair of fog lights which were added below the head lights, cars rode on Rostylewheels with black painted inserts The P5B existed as both the 4-door coupe and saloon body style until end of production.
The 3½ Litre saloon variant was a favourite of high-ranking Government Ministers, and served as Prime Ministerial transport for Harold Wilson, Edward Heath, James Callaghan and Margaret Thatcher. As testament to their suitability, the last batch of P5Bs to roll off the Rover line in June 1973 were purchased by the British government and placed in storage, to be released for government use as required, resulting in relatively new looking examples wafting through whitehall and Westminster for almost a decade after the end of production. When Margaret Thatcher entered Downing Street in 1979 after her election victory, she was driven in a 1972 model. It was during Thatcher's eleven-year tenure that the P5 was eventually phased out as a Prime-Ministerial car, in favour of the Jaguar XJ.
Queen Elizabeth II also owns an Arden Green Rover P5B Saloon "JGY 280", which is on display at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire .

Ford Mondeo Ghia (Mk.II Facelift) (1996-00) Engine 1998cc S4 TD
Registration Number W 347 VEN (Manchester for Bolton)
FORD (UK) SET

The Mark I Mondeo was introduced as a replacement for the Sierra in November 1992 officially on sale until November 2000 though the design was given a major refresh in 1996 and was known in some quarters as a Mark 2 and in others as a mk.i Facelift.
The original car had cost Ford a reported $6 billion dollars to develope, but faced critiscsm on three fronts, the bland styling, poor head light performance and cramped rear legroom, all of which the facelift addressed. The facelift left only the doors, the roof, and the rear quarter panels on the estate the same as the original model. The most notable change was the introduction of the grille and larger, wraparound lighting units. The saloon version featured some distinctive rear lights. that extended around the top and the side of the rear wings. The interior was also mildly revised, though the basic dashboard architecture was the same as before. Safety specification was improved, with the car gaining a full-size driver airbag in place of the smaller 'euro-bag' fitted in the Mk I Mondeo.. Along with an all-new platform, the Mondeo also used Ford's then-new Zetec engines, first seen in 1991. Three versions of the 16-valve Zetec engine were used. a 1.6, 1.8 and 2 litre and the Endura-D 1.8 L turbodiesel. a less popular engine option was the 2.5 L 24-valve V6 Duratec unit.

Baker 25-50 Tractor (c.1929)
Abner Baker was born in Ohio, after working in the metal industry, he opened his own engineering firm based in Swanton, Ohio in 1894 near to the Toledo Railroad Junction. In that same year he built his first steam engine equiped with his own design and patent valve gear, which by 1920 was in use on some 12,500 US steam railway engines. He moved into the manufacture of steam tractors and threshers but resisted the early wave of internal combustion power followed by some of his major competitors.
The first Baker petrol powered tractor was launched in 1926 powered by a Beaver four cylinder engine it was a large tractor of 3.25 tons with a twin ratio two speed transmission, effectively four speed forward and two reverse ratios
In 1927 the 25-50 was launched powered by a Wisconsin OHV with a bore and stroke of 5.5 and 6.5 inches, which Baker claimed could achieved 50 belt HP. This was a huge tractor of four tons. Later in 1929 the engine was updated to a LeRoi OHV unit with a 5.5 inch bore and 7 inch stroke producing 67 belt HP and 75-88bhp with a drawbar pull of 7840lbs. As a result of these test figures the Tractor was rebadged as the 43-67
A D Baker continued manufacturing Tractors into the late 1930s but by then despite their rugged design the Baker Tractor had become old fashioned and without capital to develope a new design sales had dropped against competitors including IH, Case, and John Deere,

Once again, I was for two days in Munich. According to my work commitments I like to relaxe with a stroll through the city. This tour I connect, when the opportunity arises, with my/our project "The Human Family".
So I was on the lookout. And actually, I noticed two young ladies who strolled as well through Munich by photographing. Both made an open impression on me. So, I ventured to disturb their photo session and introduced myself and the project. It turned out that we had small language problem, because both girls came from Belarus.
Nevertheless, it worked somehow in English.
So I met Nastya here in Munich. Nastya is 20 years old and spends her vacation just in Munich together with Alena. I could learn that Nastya is studying International and Puplic Law. After her studies she would like to work in Germany.
Nastya is practical, because she answered on my Lonely-Island-Question: A lighter, a knife and a blanket.
I conducted Nastya together with Alena in front of wall of a house, so I could have my solid background for photos. We all had during this brief encounter a lot of fun and I hope Nastya and Alena will have a good time in Munich.
I wish Nastya good luck for her studies and for the future. Many thanks for helping me to develope my project.
This photo is my 11th submission to group "The Human Family".
Visit "The Human Family" here and have a look on the photos of the other photographers:
