I wanted to end 2010 with a little expedition so Ayesha, Ian and I drove down to Llangorse, near Brecon.
The lake was completely frozen over so my 10-stop stayed in the bag for a change.
This hut sits at the end of a jetty and I thought it was a bit symbolic that in many ways, it was a destination in and of itself... A bit like 2010 has been.
The year's nearly over now so I'll take this opportunity to wish all of my friends and contacts on here a very happy and prosperous 2011.
Set1 - removed at the end of the journey of course! Some classic routes revealed, stickers became more colourful during the early 80's. Note how flexible the services were between London and South Wales with services to suit peoples needs, non stop Paddington to Bristol Parkway! Note in the scribble 158868 sampled to London Waterloo back in 96!

Photos from the Destination Highlight: Aquarium and Crystal Caves Excursion - Thursday May 18th, 2023 - Our first day in Bermuda. These are pictures of the beautiful Gibbs Hill Lighthouse on Bermuda. We were not supposed to stop there, but made a quick visit on our way back to the ship. Here is information on the lighthouse that I borrowed from the site: "The 117-foot lighthouse was built in 1846 of cast iron – the oldest of its kind in the world, and one of only two cast-iron lighthouses still in existence. It overlooks the South Shore and Little Sound, offering views of both the City of Hamilton and the Royal Naval Dockyard." I did not have enough time there to climb the tower - next time. The Excursion description: "Discover Bermuda's architecture, natural wonders, Aquarium, and breathtaking Crystal Caves on this comprehensive journey across the island. Before the first tourists began to land on Gili Trawangan, the island was used as farmland to grow among other things, coconuts, corn, cassava and even at one time, rice.
Tourists first began come to Gili Trawangan in the early 1980s, when a very basic guesthouse was set up on top of the hill. It was actually Gili Air that initially began to develop as a tourist destination, however by the late 1990s, development on Gili Trawangan had overtaken that on Gili Air, and now it attracts more visitors.

But Moonbase Commander John Koenig, having undergone an experimental brain soothing process after receiving a concussion in a crash on the Lunar surface, sees not friends from Earth but gruesome monsters which have telepathically caused all others on Alpha to see an illusion of an Earth party. The aliens are desperate for radiation and plan to manipulate the Alphans into detonating nuclear waste on the Lunar surface, reducing the Moon and everyone on it to dust. Koenig must expose this conspiracy to save his people.

London Underground A stock unit 5034, complete with unlikely Shoreditch destination blind, stands in Northwood No.22 Siding at the front of T717, the 12:07 Neasden Depot to Northwood Siding, having completed its last ever rail journey under its own power. With the exception of 5034 the remainder of the cars will be taken by road for scrapping with 5034 being destined for the LT Museum Depot at Acton for preservation. This was the last A stock train to leave London Undergound for scrapping.
The paint is already chipping around the sign for Hollywood. I'm sure the Red Cars are destined for neglect now that Disney perceives no need for them.
