"We will let the Jedi Generals know that we will fight to be free! We will fight to defend our planet! We will send the Jedi home in caskets!"
―Alto Stratus, Separatist and leader of the Jabiim Nationalist Army
-----------------------------------------
"Shelter Base was hit hard, it was a devastating blow which command never saw coming and in one decisive strike the Jabiimi Separatist permanently put us on the defensive. While we were occupied bringing the fight to the Jabiimi regulars Alto Stratus personally lead a strike against our rear lines. Aided by both his elite Nimbus Commandos and a secret droid army Stratus devastated Shelter Base and the bulk of the Republic and Loyalist forces there. Reports even have General Kenobi and Alpha-17 listed among the dead. We had just finished clearing a series of Jabiimi bunkers when we got the call from Muck to return to Shelter Base, it was a slow trek back with constant harassment from both battle droids and the Nimbus Commandos who used their grav boots to engage us in hit and run style ambushes, slowly whittling away our numbers. We hit back just hard aiming for the commandos boots, rupturing their generators and engulfing them in flames. By the time we reached Shelter Base my squad was down to half strength, but there was no time to mourn. The survivors of the attack were pinned down between a destroyed ATAT and the smoldering ruins of Shelter Base's main hub by several platoons of battle droids and Jabiimi nationalists. We linked up with Muck and the rest of the 253rd who had managed to return from the frontlines and charged into the fray..."

My start date got delayed so that means more time to build, bit of a small and simple build, but at this point I'm just trying to complete mission 4, I'll hopefully have something bigger for 4.3 and if there's time a world in darkness build after that.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

"General Jardu deactivated his lightsaber and stepped away from the smoking molten hole in the blast doors that had kept us off of the bridge. From inside I heard a shout, it was the admiral readying his men. Turning to Lucky I motioned for him to ready a stun grenade and as my squad stacked up behind me I gave him a thumbs-up, this insanity was over. What happened next did so in slow motion, the grenade sailed into the bridge and detonated as I ducked through the beach, my helmet protecting me from the blinding light and deafening bang of the grenade. Admiral Syphen and his staff lacked such protection and before they could react, Vornskr was on top of them. The RSB agents surrendered immediately, most had already dropped their weapons and were on the floor cradling their still ringing heads. The Admiral, on the other hand, seemed tougher than his agents and stood at the end of the bridge with a DC17 clutched in his hand. I lowered my blaster and slowly began to approach him, as I did so he squeezed off a shot. The round hit my pauldron with a brilliant blue flash, leaving a steaming smear in the yellow paint, but it did little slow my approach, after all the old man had just justified my next action. Quickly I closed the remaining distance and before the Admiral could fire again I smashed my armored fist into the side of his head dropping him to ground, unconscious... "
"Admiral Syphen, by order of the Jedi Council I hereby relieve you of your command..."
I know what you guys are all gonna say, "Tommy this is just a re-hash of your 10.1 build" and you know what you're right, it's another Venator bridge, except this version is better and besides I had a deadline to meet and barely anytime to do so (this build took me 3 hrs, not bad right?). Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the build and hopefully I'll be to find some more time to build in the near future (spring break should be coming up soon since this week is midterms) until then have a good one and thanks for viewing!

As soon as all the gunships landed on Dantooine and the base camp was set up, Jester assigned us to patrol the perimeter south of our camp. Time to enjoy the beautiful scenery on Dantooine, the farmlands. War has not yet reached this place. The farmers were growing their crops, and birds were peacefully singing their chants.
"Sergeant!! Something is moving in the corps right there!! There is a dark shadow!!"
Take cover behind the tree!! Careful! We don't want this to end up as on Rhen Var! Could it be? Is the Dark Acolyte really on Dantooine!?!
Corporal, check the field for anything unusual!
Sir, it's just a scarecrow, and nothing is moving anymore. Probably just some small animal. False alarm!

Skrunda-1 is a ghost town and former Soviet closed city in Latvia. It was the site of two Dnepr radar (NATO designation Hen House) installations constructed in the 1960s. Skrunda was strategically important to the Soviet Union as its radars covered Western Europe.

Galaar could hear blaster fire from the corridor up ahead, DC-15s, Troopers, and something else, something bigger. Reaching into his belt the injured ARC trooper retrieved a experimental combat stim and injected it through a gap in his armor. Within seconds the mix of adrenaline and Mandalorian war stimulants relieved him of the pain from his broken ribs and other injuries sustained during his initial run in with the Dark Jedi. With his injuries temporarily taken care of Galaar stumbled forward rounding the corner only to find that the fighting had moved on. In it's wake lay several dead troopers, their armor blackened and smoldering from blaster impacts. A little ways past the troopers sat an ancient automaton, the troopers had managed to disable it, but at a high price. Taking a knee next to the destroyed droid Galaar began to examine the automaton, taking note of it's heavy armor and massive arm mounted laser cannon. The droid appeared to be an ancient security droid, likely employed by the temple's inhabitant to keep out unwanted guests. It looked like the troopers had brought it down with several hits from a PLX Launcher, turning and scanning the bodies of the fallen troopers Galaar spotted the missile launcher laying a couple feet away from the squads sergeant. Standing up Galaar moved over to the Sergeant and picked up PLX, it had four missiles left in the tube and no spare ammo, that meant that the squad must have used the other three missiles to destroy the security droid. Making a quick mental note of the droids potential durability, Galaar stood and said a quick Mandoa farewell, activated their beacon and headed past the destroyed droid and deeper into the temple. Utilizing the tracking skills taught to him by Vhonte Tervho back on Kamino, Galaar located the trail of another security droid and began to follow it, hopping it would lead him to either more troopers or the Dark Jedi. The droid's path lead Galaar into an ancient crypt, and it was here that the droids appeared to have originated their restraining bolts laying discarded on the ground and their charging stations sat empty. Venturing deeper into the crypt Galaar's scopes picked friendly forces two junctions ahead, they were engaging the droid Galaar had been tracking. Readying the launcher Galaar began to run, rounding the corner just as two troopers were cut down. Cursing Galaar switched to open comms.
"Friendly on your right! On my mark hit the deck!"
"Copy that"
Another trooper went down, his torso disappearing in a bright green flash.
"NOW!"
Swinging around the corner Galaar fired two missiles over the head of the last trooper, the rounds smashed into the droid, tearing it's gun arm and left leg from it's body. The droid fell to the ground disabled. The trooper stood and turned to face Galaar.
"Nice shot sir, good timing too, he almost had me"
"If only I was faster, could have saved your vode. These droids are tough, hopefully that was the last of them."
"Negative Sir. The Dark Jedi activated a small army of them after fled into the crypt. We might need a Jedi for this one."
"I agree. I'm in no condition to fight him on my own, we'll make our way back to the surface and link up with General Kenobi."
"Copy that."

I swear I'm going to get these logs done, hopefully by the end of the week, just need to find some time and inspiration.
The shot kind of got a weird evening glow to it, might re-shoot just so it looks uniform with my other entries, let me know what you guys think.
My next project will likely be for WID, so stay tuned!

The old African American Masonic Temple, which was built between 1902 and 1904, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It was the tallest building in the city when it was built, and it still towers over the other buildings and nearby train traicks. Among the businesses housed here was the Unity Bank And Trust Company, which opened in 1902 and was Arkansas' first African American-owned bank.
The building is empty now, and was listed as one of Arkansas’ "Most Endangered Places" in 2015. But that designation also notes that the structure is in fairly good shape, all things considered, and that the owners hope to rennovate it into a mixed-use development. I hope the building can be saved, I would love to see what it looked like on the inside.

The Seperatist shuttle shook as we neared the landing platform.
“Red light…”
I looked behind me. Nestor and the rest of them were loading their weapons.
“Red light…”
I tightened my grip around the shaft of my warhammer.
“Red light…”
I rolled my shoulders back, and cracked my neck.
“Touchdown, get ready!”
I turned to the men.
“Let’s show these bastards what we’re made of!”
The men cheered, as the light switched to green. The shuttle doors slammed open, and we were greeted by the blinding sun. I raised my hammer.
“On me!” I bellowed.
I was the first one down the ramp, followed by Nestor, and we were greeted by scattergun fire. Nestor rolled out of the way, while most of it bounced off my armour. Pity, I thought the Vandosians would put up a fight.
With a rather nimble spin, I threw my hammer at the nearest enemy. The poor sod didn’t even have a chance to duck before it caved his chest in, his lifeless, crumpled body crashing to the floor. The other tried to flee to his brethren, but Nestor cut him down in a hail of blaster-fire. I motioned to Nestor and Dio, and they took their defensive positions on the landing pad.
Another group of Vandosians were forming, preparing to attack us. Lurching forward, I reclaimed my warhammer. I make for a damned good distraction.
“Forward! For the Republic!”

The Laati's doors flew open as the gunship descended onto the landing platform bellow, the ships characteristic thrumming drowning out the distant sound battle. Galaar checked the seals on his experimental cold assault armor before peering out of the troop bay at the carnage below. The outpost was in complete chaos with clones still clad in their standard phase one armor directing shell shocked civilians towards the incoming dropships, all while dodging incoming artillery fire. The outpost here had originally been used for artifact research and excavation, it was never meant to be permanent and there for it offered very little protection against the Separatist onslaught, everywhere Galaar looked he saw charred bodies amidst the burning tents and excavation equipment, this was no Geonosis, the Seps knew about the Grand Army now, and hadn't taken any chances. As the Laati touched down Galaar leapt from the troop bay, stepping over tightly packed stretchers and approached the 501st Sergeant overseeing the landing pad.
"Sergeant! ARC Lieutenant Galaar, Two-Fifty-Third reporting, how can I help?"
"ARC troopers? Boy am I glad to see you, we've got droid platoons amassing just outside the temple, my boys gave it their all, but we took quite the beating. Can you get down there and give them a hand?"
"Consider it done, Sergeant. We'll hold the line, get your men out of here."
"Sir? With all due respect there's an entire army out there."
"I'm sure there can't be more than there were on Geonosis Sergeant, pull your boys back, we'll be fine."
"Yes Sir. Thank you sir, drinks are on the Five-O-First next time we're back on Kamino!"
"You heard the Sergeant Vornskr! Oya! Oya! Let's show these Seppies why they should have just surrendered after Geonosis!"
With a cheer the small group of clone scouts designated as "Vornskr" by their Mandalorian instructor took off from the landing platform, running against the stream of battered clones and frightened civilians leaving Bravo Base. The Troopers ran in a wedge with Galaar at it's front, his dual DC-17 pistols drawn and at the ready. Reaching the edge of the Base along the eastern wall of an ancient Jedi temple, Vornskr came face to face with what appeared to several companies of B1 Battle Droids with DSD1 and AATs providing heavy support. Positioning themselves amidst the ruins the Troopers began to prepare themselves for battle, unslinging rocket launchers and other heavy weapons, before hastily digging in. Galaar turned and addressed his men, leading them in an ancient Mandalorian battle chant, which had been passed on to them by Fenn Bralor.
"Oya'cye
Kyr'am
Mare'cye
Darasuum
Oya! Oya!"
And with those words Vornskr was ready, each trooper knew that they alone were all that stood between their brothers, the evacuation and the droid horde. Leveling his blaster pistols Galaar gave the command and Vornskr opened fire...

Mission 1.1, to think that the original Mission 1.1 for the 253rd was almost seven years ago, that's just crazy. It's been one hell of a journey, and I hope for it to continue. I've only got a couple more weeks left of this semester, so hopefully by May I'll have the other two parts of Mission 1 posted as well as a couple other projects. Until then, thanks for stopping by and have a good one!

"Scanners are showing the data center is just up ahead boss, looks like we've got two angles of approach, stairs going up to what looks like a catwalk and set of blast doors directly ahead."
"Roger that Lucky, stay here with first platoon and cover our backs, don't want any lizards slinking away from the fight up top and catching us off guard."
"Roger that, you heard the Co First! Take up positions along the walls and dig in! Trapper take Wedge and Bes'laar back to our entry point and set motion sensors at each junction."
"Copy!"
"I'll Take Cov, Rook and Jester up onto the catwalk for a quick recon. General do you mind leading the assault through the blast door?"
"It'll be my pleasure Galaar. Corporal may I barrow your sidearm, I have a feeling I might need it."
"Sure thing General, just don't loose it in the melee."
(With that the Company splits into three groups, one digging in behind loose panels, exposed pipping and the hunting trophies that litter the corridor. The second climbing the ladder leading to a small access hatch, which opens with a soft hum allowing the troopers access to the catwalks above the Trandoshan data center. The third group readies it's self for coming battle, stowing their long rifles in exchange for pistols, carbines and blades. They then for a wedge behind their General who ignites his light saber illuminating the dark corridor in violet light.)
*Zsiva's com-link chirps*
" General I count at least six wets inside, five slavers and one captive. There appears to be some sort of Seppie hardware in the back of the room, it's hard to make out. Cov thinks it might be some sort of droid dispenser. We'll keep an eye on it. Hold on we've got movement up here..."
(A shout can be heard followed by a thud and several other voices shouting)
"Stang we're made! You're good to breach General!"
(The blast doors fly open as Zsiva rushes through, followed by several of Vornskr's elite shock troops. The Jedi is immediately engaged by a lizard wielding a large knife who manages to block the Jedi's lightsaber only to be shot dead. As more troopers poor into the room the five slavers are quickly overwhelmed and dispatched.)
"All clear General!"
"Wait I sense something, this isn't over..."
(The large container in the back of the room begins to whine a click, the pelts which covered it fall away as a door opens up and B2 Super battle droids begin to poor out)
"Contact front! B2s find cover!"
(Clones dive for cover as the assembling hoard of super battle droids begin to open fire. Zsiva barely manages to bring his light saber up in time to deflect the first volley. As the Jedi Ranger expertly bats away red bolts of plasma, fire begins to rain down from the cat walk dropping several of the B2s, but it's not enough.)
"Lucky get Atin in here with that z6 asap! We're taking heavy fire from a B2 dispenser!"
"We're on it. Let the boys know to hit the deck, we're going to start shooting as soon as we hit the door way!"
(Two heavily armored Clone Troopers enter the data center, the first firing a z6 rotary cannon in a wide arc hosing the ranks of B2s with searing blue energy. As the droids begin to stager and go down, the second trooper lobs a grenade and ducks behind the first. The blast causes the whole room to shudder and trophies to fall from the walls. Atin continues to fire into the burning husk of the droid dispenser as the smoke clear, until the machine is engulfed in a second fireball.)
"All clear Sir."
"Pretty sure the first explosion did the job Ner'vod"
"Can never be to careful..."
(Galaar drops down form the catwalk and surveys the smoldering room)
"Everyone all right?"
"Yes Sir, no casualties. The General managed to block the bulk of the droids fire."
"Good to hear, you good General?"
"I'll live Galaar, for machines built for war those droids have horrible aim."
"Heh, if only we all had your luck Sir. Now let's see if we can savage any intel from this scrap heap..."
----------------------------------------
Might replace the photo ngl, lighting (I know everyone will say it's fine) is a little whack and fuzzy.
Anyway, this build was a lot of fun to work on especially the floor and holo table. was definitely refreshing to stick with a border this time, that being said my usual free-form border is definitely my go to. I'll be headed back to college in two weeks so this may be my last post for a while, but with any luck I'll be able to wrap up this mission before I go.
As always any feedback is appreciated, thanks for stopping by and have a good one!

"General Tiin, the ship is lost."

"Bright green streaks of plasma flew past me as I lazily drifted towards the hull of a Separatist Munificent-class Frigate. I checked the status of my squad in my HUD as the hull of the frigate grew beneath me. Two if my men had already landed engaging a vulture droid that appeared to be attempting defend the ship's turbo lasers, my squads primary target. As I neared the hull I activated the magnetics in my boots causing me to quickly cover the last few meters and slam into the hull. I lurched as my boots stuck to durasteel halting my momentum, righting myself, I assessed my surroundings, I was on target, right bellow the line of dual turbo lasers which were peppering the Absolver above. Dodging explosions from the Absolver's return fire I lead my squad along the frigates hull until we were above the turbo laser control room. Using a special charge we breached the hull, staying outside until the room had both finished venting it's droid crew and pressurizing. Now we just had to wait for the engineers to link up and seal the room, until then our mission was complete. Now it was time to sit back and hope that the rest of the Legion was having the same luck."

I finally got around to building something, it's nothing crazy, but Brady put a lot of work into writing mission 15 for the 253rd so I had to put something together. Over the last 4 months of working abroad and not having time to build I've come to realize that building is a bit of a perishable skill, I'm pretty sure I've forgotten how to terrain, which isn't great, but I'm determined to make something presentable with the new green and dk tan bricks I recently picked up so we'll see.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it!

"Our mission to Corellia ended with a bang, in the matter of a couple hours the CIS incursion was dismantled and it's leaders either dead or in custody. The bounty hunter Durge had yet again slipped through the Republics grasps and his current whereabouts are unknown. After the last of the rebels has been loaded onto CSF ships bound for prisons on Corsucant we received word that our presence was needed over Kashyyyk, something about hunting down Trandoshan Slavers to better relations with the Wookies in an attempt to gain access to their secret hyperspace lanes. Its current designation dates back to 590, during a major plague epidemic that ravaged Rome. At the time, Pope Gregory I claimed to have seen Archangel St. Michael on the top of the castle, which sheathed his sword, signaling the end of the epidemic.
To celebrate this apparition, a statue of an angel crowns the building.
The bridge was used for pedestrians to reach St. Peter's Basilica, which gave rise to the name "bridge of St. Peter" (pons Sancti Petri) used until the 7th century. Pope Gregory I changed the name of the bridge to "Sant'Angelo" due to the legend of an angel appearing at the top of Castel Sant'Angelo.
In 1450, due to the large influx of pilgrims, the bridge collapsed, undergoing a period of restoration.
In the 16th century, the bridge was used to display bodies of executions. During the reign of Pope Paul III, 14 angel statues were added, created by Raffaello da Montelupo. In 1535, Pope Clement VII used the toll collected for the construction of statues of St. Peter and St. Paul. Later, statues of the four evangelists and the patriarchs (Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Moses) were added.
In 1669 Pope Clement IX commissioned Gian Lorenzo Bernini new sculptures of angels, representing the Passion of Christ.

"The droid skittered forward, plowing out of the ruined temple where it was hiding and into my squad before we could react. Several troopers went down as it crashed into them, throwing them about as it stampeded towards where General Kenobi was standing. Recognizing that the droid seemed to be targeting him, the General ordered us to run as he leapt into the canopy. Realizing that the best thing I could do for my injured men was draw the rampaging droid away, I complied, firing my blaster behind me as I ran. The Mandalorian tracker kept pace with me as we raced back down the overgrown temple road, I could hear the droid behind us, carving its way through the undergrowth with the large saw mounted on it's left arm. Soon blaster fire began to fly past us, kicking up dirt and debris as it impacted ground, cursing the Mandalorian spun around and activated a wrist mounted shield, she had decided to stand her ground. Grunting I ran past her and dove behind a stone pillar, narrowly dodging a bright green blaster bolt. Peaking out from behind cover I opened up on the droid with my DC-17m, with little effect. I shouted a warning to the Mandalorian about the droids armor and reached for the DC-17ms grenade launcher, it was then that the General reappeared. General Kenobi dropped out of a tree above the droid, slicing straight through it's saw arm with his lightsaber, as he fell the General continued his attack, cutting through two of the droids six legs. I stopped what I was doing and watched as the droid reared up on it's remaining legs and attempted to cut the General down with it's missing arm. When that didn't work it tried to crush the Jedi with two of it's remaining legs only to have them cut away. General Kenobi then threw the droid into a nearby tree with the force, it landed hard and sank to the ground twitching as it's power failed. It attempted to level it's blaster on the General, but the Mandalorian was quicker, firing a wrist rocket into the droid and dispatching for good.
General Kenobi, stood there for a while contemplating the burning the droid, while the rest of my squad regrouped on my location, save a few minor bumps and bruises no one had been injured, we had been lucky. I reported this to the General, letting him know that we were ready to continue the hunt, he turned and with a grin told me that our hunt would have to wait as Ventress had fled the planet...

“THE WET” AND “THE DRY” IN THE NORTHERN AUSTRALIAN TROPICS
The Northern Tropics of Australia in the Darwin region are described as having only 2 seasons – the “wet season” (or simply “The Wet”) (broadly November to April) and the “dry season” (or simply “The Dry”) (May to October). There is no local designation of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, although it should be noted that some ancient local indigenous calendars describe up to 8 seasons, categorised by not only weather but also flowering and fruiting of edible plants, appearance of migratory animals as food sources, river heights, etc.
While Europeans settled Darwin in the 1860s, indigenous Australians have occupied the area for at between 40,000 and 60,000 years.
In broad terms, the main differences between the Wet and the Dry relate to humidity levels, prevailing wind direction, and (as the names imply) rain, or the absence of rain.
Darwin has no frost, no snow and no hail.
Darwin is also largely flat and unelevated, with few locations exceeding 30 metres above sea level.
Darwin is located 12 degrees south of the equator, in the middle of the cyclone belt.
THE WET – NOVEMBER TO APRIL
During the Wet, temperatures range from a minimum of 27 – 28C overnight (sometimes not dropping below 30C) and 34 – 36C during the day. Humidity levels are in the range of 75 – 95%.
The prevailing monsoon wind direction is from the North West (i.e. from the Timor Sea), except during the frequent storms, which normally come from the South East.
Cyclones (the local name for a typhoon or hurricane) also form during the Wet as part of monsoon trough activity. The wind from a cyclone can come from any direction, depending on the relationship between the cyclone’s eye and the observer’s position.
Rainfall during the Wet approaches 2,000 mm; with the record for a 6 month Wet season period being 3,000 mm.
Sea temperature during the Wet is around 32C.
Towards the end of the wet season there are almost daily storms with strong winds from the south-east, generally late in the late afternoon. These storms are called “knock-em-downs” as they flatten the 2 metre tall native spear grass which covers all uncleared areas. The spear grass will eventually die off and a large proportion of it will burn in dry season grass fires. The spear grass seeds are a staple diet of many finches and parrots. The spear grass re-germinates when the first storms arrive in October or November.
THE DRY – MAY TO OCTOBER
During the Dry, temperatures range from a typical minimum of 20 - 21C overnight (on rare occasions dropping to 16C) and 30 -31C during the day. Humidity levels are in the range of 10 - 30%.
The prevailing wind direction is from the South East (i.e. from the direction of the Great Australian Desert); with an occasional light North West sea breeze rising in the late afternoon.
There is virtually no rain between April and October.
Because of the absence of rain, a high bushfire danger exists throughout the area during the Dry, with the highest risk occurring in August and September, before the next Wet season storms occur. During these months, the humidity is very low and the South East winds are at their strongest – up to 30 knots (around 55 km/hr).
Bushfire smoke blows out to sea and causes spectacular sunset effects.

"Bes'laar you've got a burnt out piece of hull headed straight for you, boost left on my mark... mark! Aright you should be clear, just keep your head on a swivel. First squad does anyone have eyes on Trapper?"
"Negative Sergeant"
"Nope"
"Sergeant he was right next to me a second ago, we had to break formation to avoid a wrecked gunship, must have gone wide. Permission to turn back and look for him?"
"Negative Wedge, we can't afford to loose you too. Alright everyone tighten the formation, I want visual contact with each other maintained at all times until the long range comms can be re-established."
"I'm starting to understand why you only brought one squad out into this mess Sir, it's almost impossible to navigate and with no long range comms, well... lets just say I don't think very many of us would make it back..."
"It was actually the General's idea, he must have sensed something was wrong or foreseen the comms malfunction, either way I'm grateful he stopped me from bringing the whole company out into this graveyard."
"Hey Jester, notice anything strange about the wreckage or the bodies?"
"Besides the lack of blast marks or turbo laser damage?"
"There's no sign of any Seppie ships, it's almost as if the fleet just fell apart?"
"Maybe they collided in hyperspace? It's not unheard of."
"No that's not it, cant be there's not way a clone crew would make that kind of error, besides something just seems off. Remember Corellia? What was the point, the droids didn't seem that inclined on destroying the shipyard, what were they after?"
"You think it was sabotage Sir?"
"Maybe..."
"Galaar! Over here! Rook found something!"
"What is it Trooper?"
"Looks to be some sort of communication array Sir, what ever it is though it's not Grand Army and it appears to be completely intact."
"Rook is right, it's not GAR, but that's no Comm array, looks to be a Seppie mark twelve deep space signal jammer, but what's it doing out here?"
"Looks like you might be right after all Sir..."
"Wedge, shut this thing down. As for the rest of you form up and keep and eye out for battle droids. I don't like this one bit. Jester once our long range comms are back up see if you can locate Trapper. I'll contact fleet command and let them know what we've found, if we're lucky maybe they'll scramble fighters and we can catch a ride back to the venator, before what ever this is kicks off..."

This was definitely a lot of fun to put together and I really wish I had more time to build it up and out with more crazy angles and debris, but with final exams next week my time was limited. With any luck I'll be home prior to the close of mission 19 and able to get another entry done.
As always thanks for stopping by and let know what you think of the build!
Have a good one guys!

Happy Throwvember, though this guy was finished a couple months earlier. Was inspired by MSEP's really cool Slizer revamps and had to try doing one myself. This build was also an exercise in using non socket joints, something I'm trying to get better at.
These two have grown together through the seasons of many years and they have clung on to the rock and in the shallow soils that they have embraced around their roots they have thrived together. One no is failing and the bark has been weathered away from it’s trunk and branches. The still surviving and thriving tree reac hes out and wind blown reaches the Auld Friend that is returning into the soil and bringing new life into the glen. These Auld Friends may have their tree siblings all around them and either the weather being, at times, too severe, or the soil too shallow and even gravity claims some trees here that stretch out too far and topple and this allows new growth to flourish and new friends to grow together.

"The Laati to my left exploded into a ball of fire sending flaming shrapnel into the troop compartment of my gunship, killing half of its occupants instantly. The Admiral had gambled with the lives of the entire Third Regiment by ordering a full aerial assault on the Vandosian lines, a gamble which he lost. The Vandosian troops were much more disciplined than Syphen had let on during his brief. Instead of turning their heavy guns on the armored columns which attacked from the ground, the Vandosian gunners had remained vigilant and watched the skies. As a result, almost a third of our forces never made it through the wall of flak that greeted us. Now it appeared that I would soon meet the same fate as many of my brothers. Lunging forward I snatched a canister of fire suppressant from the Laati's cargo webbing, but I was too late, the fire detonated a supply of thermal detonators and blew the gunship in half. Thanks to my reinforced arc armor I survived both the blast and the twenty-meter fall to the ground below. I landed in a snowdrift a mere ten meters from a Vandosian trench, luckily the drift obscured me from the pillbox which was firing at an approaching squad of troopers. They were taking heavy casualties, reaching to my belt I went to grab a thermal detonator only to find that I had lost most of my equipment in the fall. Instead, I drew both of my DC-17 blaster pistols and rushed the Vandosian trench. The snowdrift shielded me from the pillbox and I was able to reach the trench with ease. I caught the Vandosians off guard gunning down two of them as I closed in on trench. I was joined by Lucky who gunned down a third unseen Vandosian from the top of the pillbox. Nodding my thanks I dropped into the trench and quickly silenced the gun, allowing the squad to finally break cover and reach the trench. Soon all of the guns along the first Vandosian line went silent and as my men began to slowly regroup at my position, I looked out over the snowy waste at the next Vandosian trench, where even more pillboxes and soldiers lay in wait. It's going to be a long day..."

F60 is the series designation of five overburden conveyor bridges used in brown coal (lignite) opencast mining in the Lusatian coalfields in Germany. They were built by the former Volkseigener Betrieb TAKRAF in Lauchhammer and are the largest movable technical industrial machines in the world. As overburden conveyor bridges, they transport the overburden which lies over the coal seam. The cutting height is 60 m, hence the name F60. With a length of 502 m, it is described as the lying Eiffel tower. In total, the F60 is up to 80 m high and 240 m wide. In operating condition, it weighs 13,600 metric tons. The first conveyor bridge was built from 1969 to 1972, being equipped with a feeder bridge in 1977. The second was built from 1972 to 1974, having been equipped with a feeder bridge during construction. The third conveyor bridge was built from 1976 to 1978, being provided with a feeder bridge in 1985. The fourth and fifth conveyor bridges were built 1986-1988 and 1988-1991 respectively.
There are still four F60s in operation in the Lusatian coalfields today: in the brown coal opencast mines in Jänschwalde (Brandenburg, near Jänschwalde Power Station), Welzow-Süd (Brandenburg, near Schwarze Pumpe Power Station), Nochten and Reichwalde (Saxony, both near Boxberg Power Station). The fifth F60, the last one built, is in Lichterfeld-Schacksdorf and is accessible to visitors.

"Scout it's Atin, we've scrapped the last of the B2s our sector is all clear. No sign of any crab droids though... didn't command say there would be crab droids?"
"Affirmative Atin, we could have just gotten lucky. Bring your squad back to our staging point, once we've regrouped we're going to link up with Blaze Company and reinforce our left flank."
"It's about time Lucky shared that luck of his, aye vod? We're en-route, see you in five minutes commander, Atin out."
(Atin's voice is suddenly replaced by another, Scout instantly recognizes it as Sergeant Hound the leader of 5th squad, he's breathing hard and clearly running. In the background the sound of blaster fire and shouting can be heard.)
"Scout!! Feir'fek... Come in Scout!"
"I read you Hound go ahead."
"Sir you've got incoming! We were engaged by two crab droids on our way back to the rv point, one slipped away and is headed torwards you! We're in pursuit!"
(Suddenly there is a loud crash at the end of the hallway, Scout looks up just in time to see a Crab droid slide across the durasteel grating, it's six limbs flailing as it smashes into two clone troopers. Scout flinches as their bodies hit the wall with a sickening crunch, as a result he barely has enough time to draw his DC-17s and alert his men before the droid is barreling towards him)
"CONTACT!"
(Two squads worth of troopers drop into firing positions and begin to send searing streaks of blue plasma towards the droid, but despite their skill the droid is moving far to fast for their fire to be effective. Cursing Scout holds his ground blazing away at the glowing red photoreceptor in the center of the droid's body, but the droid rears up on its hind legs, protecting it's brain with it's front legs. It puts on a sudden burst of speed and smashes through the loose semicircle of troopers. Before Scout can get clear the droid batter's him to the ground nearly knocking him into a river of molten steel. Cursing Scout rolls onto his back just in time to see Tracker get smacked across the room and another trooper fly into a pile of crates. Blaster bolts ping harmlessly off of the droids tough armor as it advances, knocking Scout's remaining pistol out his hand and prepares to crush the clone commander. With no where to go Scout draws his combat blade and plunges the heavy dagger into joint behind the legs armor plating. The crab droids eye blinks once and then goes dark as the rest of the droid falls to the ground it's legs no longer supporting the droids hulking mass. Scout stairs at his knife with disbelief and pulls it free from the leg that is pinning him to the ground. Ignoring his current predicament Scout activates his helmet comms.)
"Vornskr status report!"
"Squad six up, no casualties."
"Squad five is up, no casualties."
"Squad four, Trace and Rook are wounded, but other than that we're good."
"Squad three is up, no casualties."
"Squad two, Chemist, Zero and Hazard are dead. Tracker and Spade are unconscious and Doc is wounded."
Squad one, Burner and 88 are kia, Able's arm is pretty messed up and you're trapped under a crab droid."
"Feir'fek... Someone help me get this pile of bolts off of me."
"Hold on sir the General has you."
(Suddenly the crab droid floats off of Scout and is sent sailing across the room. Scout gingerly slides away from the river of molten metal and takes Zsiva's outstretched hand.)
"I take it, you were the one responsible disabling that shabuir?"
"I was."
"And here I was thinking I had a magic knife... Thank you General."
"I was only doing my duty Commander, I'm sorry I couldn't save the rest of your men... If only I was faster..."
"Did you complete your mission?"
Yes.
"Good, then their deaths won't be in vain. Now let's go kill the bastard..."
"Very well, they won't be forgotten. Lead the way Commander...

The English designation Agathla is derived from the Navajo name aghaałą́ meaning 'much wool', apparently for the fur of antelope and deer accumulating on the rock The mountain is considered sacred by the Navajo.
Agathla Peak is an eroded volcanic plug consisting of volcanic breccia cut by dikes of an unusual igneous rock called minette. It is one of many such volcanic diatremes that are found in Navajo country of northeast Arizona and northwest New Mexico.
Agathla Peak and Shiprock in New Mexico are the most prominent. These rocks are part of the Navajo Volcanic Field, in the southern Colorado Plateau. Ages of these minettes and associated more unusual igneous rocks cluster near 25 million years.

Ribble Estuary NNR
The estuary is one of the most important sites in the UK for over wintering wildfowl.
Ribble Estuary NNR
County: Lancashire and Merseyside
Main habitats: Saltmarsh, mud and sand flats
Why visit: The reserve occupies over half of the total area of the Ribble Estuary (4520 Ha), including extensive areas of mud and sand flats and one of the largest single areas of saltmarsh in England. It has been described as a ‘hotel-restaurant’ for birds as it is a key site in the chain of wetlands which make up the east Atlantic flyway or migration route for wintering wildfowl and waders. The estuary supports over 100,000 ducks, geese and swans and 150 000 waders during the winter and is an internationally important refuge for 16 bird species.
In light of its importance the reserve has been declared a Ramsar siteexternal link and a Special Protection Area: (106kb)pdf document (SPA).
Seasonal highlights
Summer
In the summer the saltmarshes support large numbers of breeding birds including black-headed gull, herring gull, lesser black-backed gull, common tern, little egret avocet and redshank. Skylark, meadow pipit and linnet nest in significant numbers on the grazing marsh.
Winter
The winter months are the best time to visit the reserve for bird watching as thousands of Widgeon arrive from Siberia to mix with large numbers of Pink-footed geese flying in from Iceland. Whooper Swans can also be seen in good numbers feeding in the surrounding countryside especially at nearby Martin Mere. Impressive numbers of Knot, Dunlin, Grey Plover, Oystercatcher, Curlew Black tailed and Godwit can also be readily observed especially on a high tide when they flock closer to shore and the public footpaths and hides.
History
Large areas of saltmarsh on the Ribble Estuary were reclaimed and converted into agricultural fields during the Victorian period and even as late as the early 1980s. This practise produced very valuable farmland but removed important bird habitat.
In 1979 the National Nature Reserve was purchased in order to protect the remaining saltmarsh for overwintering wildfowl and waders. The traditional land use of seasonal grazing with cattle has continued to this day with up to 20 different local farmers supplying animals to graze the saltmarsh. This practice benefits both the agricultural community and the internationally important bird communities of the Ribble estuary.
Managing the reserve
Management of the site involves grazing the saltmarsh with cattle and sheep to maintain the short sward on which wintering wildfowl (especially wigeon and pink-footed geese) depend.
The main area of saltmarsh is grazed by over 700 cattle from April to September, forming one of the largest single herds of cattle in the UK. Wildfowling also takes place on much of the reserve and improved management of this activity has contributed to the increase in the number of birds visiting the site.
How to get there
The reserve is 7 km west of Preston and includes land on both sides of the Ribble Estuary: as far as Lytham, on the northern bank, and Crossens (near Marshside), on the southern bank.
By foot/cycle
The Lancashire Coastal Wayexternal link runs along the northern bank of the estuary. The northern bank can also be accessed via Route 62 of the Sustrans National Cycle Networkexternal link.
A footpath affording good views of the saltmarsh runs along the flood embankment on the southern edge of the reserve from Crossens pumping station near Southport to Hundred End near Hesketh Bank village and the RSPB Hesketh Outmarsh.
By rail
The nearest train stations are in Prestonexternal link, Lythamexternal link and Southportexternal link (5 km to the south west) served by Northern Rail.
By bus
Local bus services are provided by Stagecoach Northwestexternal link.
By car
Access is via minor roads from the A584 (northern bank) and A59 (southern bank). The two most accessible car parks are at Lytham, and on the Marshside coastal road near Southport.
Visiting the reserve
Please note: due to the dangerous nature and fragility of the saltmarsh and mudflats, access to the site is restricted to public rights of way.
School and community groups
There are no visitor facilities available on the reserve apart from public footpaths although staff can provide guided walks and talks to schools and other groups on request.
Want to get involved?
Voluntary wardens carry out site work, monthly bird counts and regular ‘eyes and ears’ patrols.

"Jester if you don't shut your di'kut ass up I'm going to throw you out an airlock."
"Can it both of you! We're about to dock. Looks like the Liberator manged to take out the stations power, re-breathers and NODs on I don't want to take any unnecessary risks."

"Command this is CC-1807, Vornskr Brigade has successfully boarded the orbital defense satellite Vigilance. Be advised we are yet to make contact with the stations crew or any seppie forces."
"Roger that Vornskr, we'll continue to monitor your squads progress and the Liberator will remain on standby just outside of the stations range until it's weapons are down. Happy hunting vod!"

"Lucky take 1st squad and clear the bridge, Atin take 2nd check the mess and crew barracks, Hound, Trapper stay with the ship. The rest of you with me."
-
-
-

"All squads report in."
"This is Lucky the bridge is clear and all weapon systems are offline, no sign of the crew."
"Atin here, the mess is empty we're making our way to the barracks now."
"All quite back at the ship, we're awaiting your return sir."
"Roger that. Command this is CC-1807 we've almost completed our sweep of the Vigilance, still no contact with the enemy or sign of the crew. The stations weapon systems are offline and no longer a threat."
"Good job Vornskr, the Liberator is moving in for a full scan the station, let's see if we can help you find those droids."
"Roger that command, standing by."
-
-
-
-
"Sir the scans from the Liberator show the droids in the aft arms room. They seem to be removing the ordnance, could be attempting to turn the station into a mine?"
"Roger that Lucky, take your squads back to the LAAT/i and get clear, you too Atin. Don't want to risk the entire brigade if the station goes up. I've got more than enough troopers with me to handle a couple commando droids."
"On it, I'll see you back on the Liberator vod."
-
-
-
-
"Sir this is it. Scans still have the clankers on the other side of this door."
"Fixer see if the Liberator can tap into the stations internal security systems and get us a better image of what we're up against."
"On it."
"Sir we've got at least ten droids dressed in trooper armor on the other side and no friendlies. The room is mostly empty, looks like we can go in loud."
"Good. Command could you please open up door 17B-9, so we can give these seppies a proper welcome?"
"Can do Vornskr. Ready on your mark"
"Orar bring that Z6 of yours up here, you get to clear the room!"
"On my way sir!"
"Command we're ready, open the door."
-
-
(The door begins to slowly open, and once a large enough gap is presented Orar steps through hefting his Z6 into as he walks into the dark room. For a brief minute the only thing that can be heard is creaking of gears as the door continues to slide through and the spinning of the Z6's barrels. The moment is broken as Orar being true to his name unleashes a thunderous barrage of glowing plasma from his Z6, instantly cutting down several commando droids. Scout quickly follows Orar into the room his DC-17s ready, and after a brief firefight the outgunned droids are eventually destroyed, their reinforced armor giving way to the shear amount of firepower being hurled at them by the two squads of Vornskr troopers.)
-
-
"Command this is CC-1807, we're all clear here. Is the Liberator picking up any more droids on their scans?"
"Negative Vornskr, looks like that was it. The stations crew must have put up bigger fight than the seppies expected. Were you able to locate the crew?"
"Negative command, the droids were wearing their armor, but we were unable to locate any bodies. They must have dumped them out an airlock before we arrived."
"Roger that, we'll list them as kia. Make your way back to the hangar, LAAT/i's have been dispatched to bring you back to the Liberator, you're needed elsewhere."
"Roger that command, we're on our way. Vornskr out."

The Crab Nebula (catalogue designations M1, NGC 1952, Taurus A) is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. The common name comes from a drawing that somewhat resembled a crab with arms produced by William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, in 1842 or 1843 using a 36-inch (91 cm) telescope. The nebula was discovered by English astronomer John Bevis in 1731. It corresponds with a bright supernova observed in 1054 C.E. by Native American, Japanese, and Arabic stargazers; this supernova was also recorded by Chinese astronomers as a guest star. The nebula was the first astronomical object identified that corresponds with a historically-observed supernova explosion.
At an apparent magnitude of 8.4, comparable to that of Saturn's moon Titan, it is not visible to the naked eye but can be made out using binoculars under favourable conditions. The nebula lies in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way galaxy, at a distance of about 2.0 kiloparsecs (6,500 ly) from Earth. It has a diameter of 3.4 parsecs (11 ly), corresponding to an apparent diameter of some 7 arcminutes, and is expanding at a rate of about 1,500 kilometres per second (930 mi/s), or 0.5% of the speed of light.
The Crab Pulsar, a neutron star 28–30 kilometres (17–19 mi) across with a spin rate of 30.2 times per second, lies at the center of the Crab Nebula. The star emits pulses of radiation from gamma rays to radio waves. At X-ray and gamma ray energies above 30 keV, the Crab Nebula is generally the brightest persistent gamma-ray source in the sky, with measured flux extending to above 10 TeV. The nebula's radiation allows detailed study of celestial bodies that occult it. In the 1950s and 1960s, the Sun's corona was mapped from observations of the Crab Nebula's radio waves passing through it, and in 2003, the thickness of the atmosphere of Saturn's moon Titan was measured as it blocked out X-rays from the nebula. "Galaar means hawk in Mando'a the native language of the Mandalorians, a name given to Protector Class ARC Trooper 018 for his abnormally keen vision and hunting instinct. In a sense, like the rest of his Protector brethren, Galaar was everything that the Kaminoans had designed him to be, an apex predator. It was during the initial combat simulations when Galaar first learned of his aptitude towards reconnaissance and tracking, a bi-product of a slight genetic mishap which heightened his senses. While not significant enough to warrant special assignment, Galaar's mutation peaked the interest of Mandalorian Huntress and Cuy'val Dar member, Vhonte Tervho. Tervho took Galaar under her wing and taught him the ways of the hunt, indoctrinating him further into the Mandalorian culture and molding him into an expert scout, tracker, and sapper. She would later give him the name "Galaar" after observing him during his 3rd phase combined arms trials, where 018 served as a point man for his platoon, acting as their eyes and ears on the battle field. It was here he exceled, often cut off from his unit, but still effective, relaying information and sabotaging the enemy at every opportunity, he was good at it that he was put up for promotion prior to the First Battle of Geonosis. Galaar was confident and rightfully so, Cabur and Vhonte Tervho has trained him well, he was part of what may be the most elite fighting force the Galaxy would ever see, so when word came that the Legion would be mobilized and sent to Geonosis to rescue a Jedi task force, Galaar didn't worry, the mission would be textbook, just like the simulations.
Unfortunately for the young ARC trooper he was wrong.
The First Battle of Geonosis, saw the integration of over a thousand regular clone troopers into the 253rd's ranks, separating the elite ARC troopers of Fenn Bralor's Raysh'olan Ade, and putting them in charge of brothers whom they never met nor trained with before. This decision by the commanders of the newly formed Grand Army of the Republic would prove to be disastrous for the 253rd and result in heavy casualties among both the ARCs and their trooper brethren. Galaar, was restricted during the battle, unable to play to his strengths, due to being forced to baby sit a platoon of troopers. Unlike is ARC brethren, Galaar could not just leave them and play the role of the scout as by doing so would jeopardize the entire squad and their mission. This put Galaar at a major disadvantage and it showed when Galaar's platoon took over fifty-percent casualties during their mission to destroy a small droid foundry in the planets southern hemisphere. Geonosis taught Galaar a harsh lesson, one he did not wish to repeat on the frozen waist land of Rhen Var. To remind himself of his responsibility as a leader to his men, Galaar would paint his armor with green markings, as the color green symbolizes "duty" in the Mandalorian culture. With his armor serving as a solemn reminder of the brothers lost on Geonosis and as promise to those who survived, Galaar began the work of transforming his squad of regular clone troopers into force which would make the Mandalorians back on Kamino proud...
-------------------------------------------------------------
Well that was long, please let me know if I started to ramble anywhere if you happen to read the whole thing.
After deciding that giving Vornskr cold assault armor Rhen Var would break the timeline I'm trying to follow and my goals of a more structured story, I've decided to retcon their initial appearance, by giving Galaar standard Phase 1 ARC armor, and the members of Vornskr Squad unpainted phase 1 armor.
I hope to post my 1.2 build tomorrow in celebration of May 4th and my 1.3 some time in the next week or two. After that it'll likely be time to build again for World in Darkness.
As always thanks for stopping by, especially if you've read this far and have a good one!

Historic Canadian National Railway (CNR) Station in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. The Victorian Gothic Revival style station was built in 1879 as the terminus for Great Western Railway (later the Grand Trunk Railway). It is now used by Via Rail.
The Niagara Falls Railway Station was designated as a Heritage Railway Station under the Heritage Railway Stations Protection Act in 1994. The station was recognized in 1999 for its heritage value (City of Niagara Falls by-law 99-108) and received Heritage Designation under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act. It was listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places in 2008.
Excerpt from Guelph.ca:
The designation of this Designated Heritage Property includes:
•All masonry, wood and decorative metal elements of the fountain;
•The roofline of the fountain, but not the roof fabric
It is understood that some or all of the fountain’s components may be replicated or restored, and it is intended that any non-original features may be returned to documented earlier designs or their documented original form without requiring City Council permission for an alteration to the designation.
Property history
The Victoria-Guelph Chapter of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire was formed on December 4, 1909 as the first I.O.D.E. Chapter in Guelph. At its inaugural meeting, the Chapter stated that its initial work would be the “beautifying and improving of our City and the establishment of a philanthropic influence in Guelph”. In this regard, one of the Chapter’s first accomplishments was the presentation in 1912 of a drinking fountain to the City in memory of the late King Edward VII.
With the assistance of the City’s Parks and Shade Commission, the fountain was erected in 1914 in Trafalgar Square, facing Wyndham Street, on the Square’s most prominent position. The contract to design the fountain was awarded by the I.O.D.E. to an English architect named Lund. The fountain, constructed of stone and wood and featuring carved stone embellishments, functioned for many years as a public drinking fountain, and was considered to be one of the City’s most handsome public monuments.
The designation includes all masonry, wood and decorative metal elements of the fountain, including all inscriptions, the roofline of the fountain but not the roof fabric. Scheduled for restoration at the time of its designation in 1993, it is understood that some or all of the fountain’s components may be replicated or restored.
Kyoto Ninna-ji Omuro - zakura 京都仁和寺の御室桜
location : Kyoto Ninnna-ji Temple( Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.) Kyoto city ,Kyoto Prefecture,Japan
Ninna-ji Temple is home to a special variety of short, late-blooming cherry trees. In many parts of Kyoto cherry trees start blooming as soon as March, but the Omuro Cherry Trees are much slower to blossom, often coming into full bloom in early to mid-April.
The Omuro Cherry Trees have been at the temple since the Edo Period, and have been beloved by many for hundreds of years. The beauty of the trees in bloom and their special characteristics have been recorded in many poems. The practice of flower-viewing at Ninna-ji Temple is even recorded in the Keijo Shoran, a guidebook to Kyoto’s famous sites created during the mid-Edo period (18th century). This long history ultimately led to the designation of Ninna-ji Temple’s cherry tree grove as a nationally recognized Place of Scenic Beauty (“meisho” 名勝) in 1924.
Until recently it was thought that the height of the trees was due to the presence of bedrock under the grove that stunted the roots and the trees’ overall growth, but recent research has discovered that clay-like soil, not bedrock, lies beneath the cherry trees. This clay-like soil offers less oxygen and nutrients for the trees, and this appears to be one reason why the roots of the trees are shallow. Although it was not bedrock to blame, the main assumption that the roots are not able to grow deep into the ground was not mistaken. Research on the trees continues today, and we will update as more is learned about what makes the Omuro Cherry Trees so special.
Ninna-ji Temple was founded in 888 by the 59th emperor, Emperor Uda. It was designated a World Heritage Site in 1994, and is home to Japanese national treasures and several important cultural properties. The temple is now the headquarters of the Omuro School of the Shingon Sect of Buddhism. The headquarters of the nationally known Omuro School of Flower Arrangement is also housed at the temple.

The Russian Tango class submarines (Project 641B Som [Catfish]) were the successors to the Foxtrot class submarine based in the Black Sea and Northern Fleet areas. The first of the class was completed in 1972 at Gorky. A total of 18 were built in two slightly different versions. The later type was several metres longer than the first possibly because of installation of ASW missile equipment.
The bow sonar installations appear to be similar to those fitted into Soviet nuclear attack submarines. The propulsion plant was the same as the last subgroup of the Foxtrot class submarine. The Tango class had far more battery capacity, far higher than previous conventional submarine class in the Soviet Navy. As a result, pressure hull volume increased. This allowed an underwater endurance in excess of a week before snorkeling was required.
Coupled with new armament and sensor fit, the Tango class were ideal for ambush operations against Western nuclear submarines at natural chokepoints.
Construction of this class has now stopped. One unit remains in the Black Sea Fleet but it may be decommissioned in 2010.

NICKNAME: Galaar (Scout)
RANK: ARC Commander grade II
UNIT: Vornskr Company, 3rd Regiment of the 253rd Elite Legion
------------------------------------------------------
"How come we're going back into the sewers Commander? Complaining isn't exactly my thing, but I just got rid of the stench from last time. Besides couldn't they just send some regs from the guard down there to look for stragglers, why does it have to be us?"
"We're not going down there to look for staggers Atin, we're going down there because Durge just took out an entire squad along with an Alpha-Class ARC trooper..."
"Durge is here!? That Chakaar owes me his head!"
"You're going to have to wait your turn vod'ika, I have unfinished business with that demagolka, he killed my entire squad back on Muunilinst..."
"We lost a lot of brothers to that beast back on Muunilinst Trapper and if we play our cards right today will be the day we avenge them, all of them... Today isn't the day for personal glory or revenge that will only get you killed."
"Hound is right, we do this together. No one dies today except Durge, so make sure your heads are in the right place. If the General decides any of you are acting irrationally or emotionally you'll be sent back to the surface. Am I understood?
"YES SIR!"
"Good, prep your squads and make sure they're sufficiently armed, I recommend Trandoshan ACPs, projectile weapons might be better suited for killing this bastard..."
"You heard the boss, the op starts at 0900 GAR time and I expect all Vornskr squads to be lined up and standing by outside of the tunnel entrance by 0845! Get moving Di'kuts!"
"Something is troubling you Galaar, what is it?"
"It's Durge General, last time I faced him I lost a lot of good men, the legion lost a lot of good men it took General Kenobi and several Alpha-class ARC troopers to bring him down and even then they couldn't kill him. I can't help but feel like I'm leading my men to their deaths."
"I see. It's natural to fear for those you lead especially when faced with such a formidable foe, but fear not Commander the force is with us. We'll be fighting Durge within the sewers the space should confine him and neutralize both his mobility and size, if we can back him into a corner I believe we can neutralize him."
"Neutralize him? I didn't think you liked killing organics Sir?"
"For him Galaar I can make an exception."
"Roger that Sir and General... thank you."
-------- [ Some time later ] --------
"Galaar scanners are picking up two life forms past the next junction, could be survivors from Trident squad."
"Roger that. Hound have two men check it out."
"On it."
"Commander wait!"
"What is it General?"
"It's him, it's Durge."
"Roger. Vornskr move in."
[Zsiva Ignites his light-saber as the clones of Vornskr Company begin to run, several of the companies squads split off down adjacent tunnels flanking the bounty hunter. Galaar is beside his General holding a captured Trandoshan ACP scatter gun at the low ready. As they round the corner the men of Vornskr company are greeted by a gruesome scene, across the sewer floor lie bits of shattered plastoid armor and the crumpled bodies of Trident Squad. In the center of the tunnel stands Durge holding the limp body of A-91 by the throat, upon seeing Vornskr Durge throws A-91 against the sewer wall, the impact cracks the stone and A-91 slides down the wall to the floor where he lays motionless.]
"And right when he was beginning to bore me the Republic has the courtesy to send me Fett clones to kill, oh and a Jedi? This day keeps on getting better. Now Jedi would you mind telling your pet clones lurking in the shadows behind me to stand down while I gut you with your own lightsaber? No? That's a shame, prepare to die force feeder!"
[In a blur of movement Durge spins around and tosses several charges at the Vornskr squads who had flanked him, his many nerve clusters alerting him to their presence before they even had a visual on the Gen'Dai bounty hunter. The charges explode mid air dropping the latter half of the tunnel and forcing the clones to withdraw. Zsiva rushes forward, but with uncanny speed Durge meets his attack grabbing the Jedi Knight by the face and plunging him into the murky water of the sewer. It is at this moment that the tunnel is illuminated with the brilliant blue of blaster fire, with their general now out of the line of fire Galaar and his remaining men pour every bit of fire power they have into Durge, but only the few ACP scatter guns scattered throughout the squads manage to dent his armor, the blaster fire merely deflects into the tunnel's ceiling or disappears leaving nothing but smoldering black streaks across the bounty hunters silver armor. Suddenly a blazing pink light erupts from the water cleaving straight through the soft armor underneath Durge's shoulder, the blow takes his arm and with it releases Zsiva from his watery grave. Rising the Jedi General holds his blade to Durges throat...]
"Surrender Bounty Hunter."
"That's going to cost you meatbag."
[Before Zsiva could rebuke Durge a hail of blue blaster-fire struck the bounty-hunter engulfing him in steam as his armor began to heat up from the repeated blaster impacts. The fire stops as the tunnel becomes obscured by smoke.]
"Did we get him?"
"I'm not sure trooper..."
[Vornskr falls silent as brutish laughter begins to echo through the tunnel, the clones train their blasters on the last know location of Durge and Zsiva readies his saber once more, but before anyone can make a move a red tentacle like appendage shoots out from the steam and sends Zsiva cartwheeling down the tunnel, taking several clones with him. Cursing Galaar drops his empty ACP and draws his DC-17 blaster pistols.]
"Vornskr light him up!"
"Vornskr? Like the dog? I wonder clone... will you whimper like a dog when I break you?"
"Shut up demagolka."
"Oh mando'a? Bad choice soldier boy I hate Mandol..."
[Durge is cut short as a volley of well placed shots demolish his helm and with it his voice box.]
"What's the matter bounty-hunter?
[Galaar is interrupted by an enraged cry as Durge charges him]
"Fier'fek..."
[Once agian the clones open fire in an attempt to push the now enraged Durge back, to an extent they're successful, but Durge shows no sign of slowing or defeat.]
"He's not going down!"
"I know! Keep firing!"
[Galaar is afraid, not because he may die, but because he may have very well just lead his men to their death, with Zsiva out of commission and his company at half strength as well has their heavy weapons restricted due to the tunnels Galaar was unsure how to move forward. They would just have to keep blasting until either Durge didn't get up or the tunnel collapsed on-top of them. It was in that moment of uncertainty when Galaar saw a solution.]
"Lucky on my command have the men fire at the ceiling, we're going to drop the tunnel on the shabuir!"
"Roger!"
[Galaar begins to push forward driving Durge back towards the already weakened section of the tunnel]
"Now!"
[Galaar throws himself backwards as the support beans begin to glow orange and bend from the concentrated blaster-fire. Durge cries out and attempts to throw himself clear but a grenade from Galaar keeps him pinned in the killzone. The explosion is followed by the jarring snapping of metal supports. The men of Vornskr Company look on as the beams give way burying the Gen'dai bounty-hunter under a heaping pile of stone and steal.]
"You think he's dead?"
"We're not that lucky Atin, besides wouldn't be the first time that abomination has been buried alive by a bunch of Mandalorians..."
"Hound contact command, tell them that we've subdued the bounty-hunter Durge and the Coruscant Guard is clear to sweep the tunnels for explosives."
"On it Sir, shouldn't you let them know yourself?"
"I have more pressing matters to attend to, someone has to go find the General and let him know he missed all the fun."
"He'll probably be devastated that we managed not to kill the monster. I'll have Trapper send his medics your way Sir."
"Thank you Hound, oh an let command know they're going to have to send someone else down here to dig that chakaar out."
"Yes Sir!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That was quite the story to tell, honestly I'm a tad bit worried that I let it go a little to much, especially with the length and if any of you managed to make it through the whole thing I'd greatly appreciate some pointers and feedback on the writing aspect! Overall this was a fun little build and I'm super happy with how it came out, I really enjoyed the challenge of building the Corellian sewers again and having to build something new while keeping it similar enough to my 17.1 build for people to recognize it as another section of the same system. I'm hopping that over the next week I can hopefully get another two builds one, one being GCW themed and the other will be either for the Legion or maybe modern depending on what I'm feeling. Until then any criticism is appreciated, thanks for stopping by and have a good one!

Our objective was simple: assault the East Monastery and destroy the ion cannon that's posing a threat of preventing the 501st and general Skywalker to start the attack on the main Monastery where they are holding the Hutt.
.
.
This SOUNDS really easy but there is just one small problem the ion cannon is located on top of a wall.
.
.
I briefed my squad inside the gunship before we landed. We landed in a forest next to the wall. While jumping out of the ship we hear the pilot in the comms.
.
.
'Good luck out there and stay safe! May the force be with you.'
.
.
We checked our gear and the gunship ascended back to the venetor.
.
.
The squad started climbing the wall while me and some of the others strapped on our jetpack. It didn't take long until the seps noticed us climbing up. They sent blaster shots flying down right at us. We took cover where we could. They were forced to send out STAPs (Single Trooper Aerial Platform). These speeders came down and we started opening fire. My 2nd in command took his knife out and jumped on one of these speeders and surgically cut the droid's neck. He alongside myself flew up to on of the entrance of the monastery and started taking out the remaining droids who were shooting at us from the top.
.
.
About half of our squad was wiped out by the seps before we even entered the monastery. I hope the mission runs smoothly from now on forward.

The Pontiac Phoenix is a compact car that was sold from 1977 to 1984 by Pontiac. There were two generations of the Phoenix, both based on popular Chevrolet models, and both using the GM X platform designation. It is named for the Phoenix bird in the mythologies of Persians, Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese, and Phoenicians that would live for about 500 to 1000 years, die in a self-inflicted fire and be reborn from the ashes. The rear drive GM X platform borrowed much from the earlier established GM F platform that was the basis of the Pontiac Firebird.

“Command to Hammer One. Your objective is the archives. CQC only. Let’s keep this quiet.”
I cracked my neck.
“You know what to do.”
“Hammer Two, going dark.”
“Hammer Three, going dark.”
There’d be no Hammer Four. We lost Phoenix back on the Landing Platform. A “casualty of the war”, I suppose.
“Hammer One, going dark.”
The hum of the Vandosian electronics filled the otherwise silent air. I slowly approached my intended target, hammer at the ready, waiting for my mark. I heard the slow patter of footsteps drawing closer and closer. Dio and Nestor came into view, sprinting full speed.
Dio slid to his knees behind the Vandosian, drove his dagger into his spine, pulled the blade out, spinning it in his hand, then finally stabbing him again through his neck. Nestor rounded the corner as I slammed my hammer into my target’s chest, knocking him to the ground. I raised my hammer, and dropped it on his head. Nestor reached around his target, pulling his helmet down over his face. He let out muffled surprise that was cut short, as Nestor cut his throat with his falchion, then threw the body to the floor.
I looked over the guardrail. Nestor and Dio looked back at me. Nestor gestured with two fingers, as Dio wiped the blood from his knife.
“Hammer One to Command. Hostiles have been neutralized, moving to objective.”
“Copy, Hammer One.”
I leapt over the guardrail, landing hard on my feet. I started down the hallway, Nestor and Dio right behind me. This is where the fun begins.

My latest build for the 253rd Legion. Not too happy with the glare on some parts of the pic but I did my best to fix that, I hope it doesn't look too bad. I went through several designs for the dark red building on the left, and I think in the end it came out looking really good. I also had another building sitting where the landing pad is (top right), but it didn't look all that great, and was out of proportion with the rest. C&C always welcome, stay safe, cya!

NEW DISCOVERY: Strottner-Drechsler 153 / Ingrid's Nebula is a new candidate of a planetary nebula in the constellation Serpens.
It was discovered by the German-French team of Marcel Drechsler and Xavier Strottner in August 2021 and has the catalogue designation StDr 153 / PNG 014.6+00.7.
This image, captured in collaboration with my good friend Sven Eklund from Sweden, and expertly processed by Marcel Drechsler from Germany, is the first ever taken of this faint object. The name "Ingrid´s Nebula" is a tribute to Sven's mother, Ingrid Eklund.
Typical for planetary nebulae is a compact envelope of H-alpha and OIII surrounding a tiny white dwarf.
The central star is exceptionally blue, suggesting a temperature of 30,000K or more.
An exact distance determination was not possible due to insufficient GAIA and TESS data.
Soon a spectrum will be created, which will hopefully confirm that Ingrid's Nebula is a true planetary nebula.
If you have a trained and sharp eye, you will discover another potential planetary nebula in the upper right of the image, discovered by Xavier Strottner and our friend Lionel Mulato and has the catalogue designation of StMul 1. StMul 1 was only recently examined by a spectrum and classified as a potential PM.
Data was captured on both my dual rig of 6" refractors and Sven's C14 EdgeHD - all located at Fregenal de la Sierra in Southern Spain.
Data captured between 31 May - 7 June 2022.

Old Provincial Museum built in (1892-1893) now Employment Centre located on Ductworth Street in the City of St. John's on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador Canada
The Old Provincial Museum is a large Classical Revival brick and sandstone building located at 285 Duckworth Street in downtown St. John’s, NL. The designation is confined to the footprint of the building.
The Old Provincial Museum was designated a municipal heritage structure by the City of St. John’s because it has aesthetic, historic and cultural values.
The Old Provincial Museum has aesthetic value because it is architecturally unique in St. John’s. Built in classical revival style, the front façade of the building bears a strong resemblance to the Roman triumphal arch. Two large brick end towers flank the central sandstone arch and frieze, and each tower is topped with a copper roof dome. Each end tower has a series of stone banding, with two bands near the top, one at the middle and one at the bottom. The towers are punctuated by a single window in each and they are decorated with a stone sill and a single stone keystone above each. More remarkably, the sandstone frieze that graces the front of the building features important icons of Newfoundland’s identity and history. Manufactured in England in 1907 the stone components are 8.5m by 2.1m, and occupy pride of place over the lintel of the main doorway. Above the arch and frieze are three side by side windows and above them is a balustrade. The whole effect is a balanced and symmetrical appearance. The main door has been modernized with glass and metal, but it encompasses the entire stone arch opening with a large half circle window at the top. The archway has a keystone and it features stone supports that span the opening: one horizontal and two vertical.
The Provincial Museum is historically valuable because of its age, having been constructed in 1907 – the same year that the colony of Newfoundland was conferred dominion status. The front facade features a frieze depicting icons of Newfoundland. The central section features the Royal Coat of Arms, sculpted figures and mottos taken from the Grand Seal of Newfoundland. The scene depicts Mercury, God of Trade and Merchandise, presenting to Britannia (representing Britain) a kneeling fisherman offering a catch of newly harvested fish. Britannia also carries a shield embossed with an image of the British flag and a trident. Mercury, in keeping with his role as messenger of the gods and protector of trade and merchants, carries a caduceus, a wand entwined with serpents, capped with wings. This symbolizes commerce, travel and communication. The mottos are highly significant, “Haec tibi dona fero” (I bring you these gifts), symbolizes the wealth of the fishery resource Newfoundland provided for the British Empire at that time. “Terrae Novae” (for or of Newfoundland) indicates the museum’s role of keeping important items of Newfoundland heritage for the benefit of Newfoundlanders. Scenes showing other aspects of Newfoundland’s resource wealth are featured on either side of the central section. To the left is a section devoted to the importance to the lumber industry, while on the right is shown a mining scene.
It is also historically valuable because it was once the provincial museum. The museum opened in 1911, under the directorship of James Howley – Newfoundland’s second director of the Geological Survey. Howley died on January 1, 1918, and the museum went without a director for some time. The Museum appears to have closed in the late 1920s, as a reopening was announced for May 1928. The Museum was closed to the public in October 1930 due to significant leaks in the roof. The Commission of Government years were the darkest in the Museum’s long history, as it was totally shut down for many years and its collections dispersed. In 1946, responsibility for the Museum was transferred to the Department of Home Affairs. The Public Libraries Board moved to the lower floors of the Museum building and the top floor served as exhibit space. In 1955, “An Act respecting the Preservation of Historic Objects” assured the Museum’s provincial status and it reopened in 1957. In 1971, the entire building was made available for exhibits. In 1976 the Museum closed for major reconstruction – reopening in 1979. In 2005, the provincial museum was moved to The Rooms.

Backed by two more troopers, I proceed to send a warning shot around the wall, which is immediately returned threefold. Our next salvo is executed to perfection, as we each quickly back up and light up the skies, eliminating both the Bounty Hunter and the CIS Asset’s bodyguard. It’s just enough time for its occupants to drag our prize away, leaving us empty handed. It turns around, its engines heating up, thrusting the shuttle into the atmosphere. We’ve lost.
“Haar’chak!”
