Le luxembourgeois et milanais d'adoption Christophe de la Fontaine fait sans nul doute partie des designers européens les plus talentueux. S'il a collaboré avec les maisons de design les plus prestigieuses (Moroso, Rosenthal, Formagenda...), il est également à la tête de son propre studio : DANTE-Goods And Bads. Le studio crée des meubles mais pas seulement ; il tend a élargir sa gamme vers les accessoires, les objets et flirte avec le monde de la mode et de l'art. En invitant pour chaque collection une personnalité hors champs du design, il n'a de cesse de se réinventer. En résulte une production très riche, multiple, associant mobiliers, objets artistiques et d'autres plus fonctionnels.

Keystone Human Services (the non-profit I work for) have teamed up with KaBOOM!, Home Depot and the Dauphin County Housing Authority, to remodel and build a playground in the Cole Crest Housing Projects in Steelton, PA. On Design Day, the kids of the neighborhood and of our own Capital Area Head Start, got a chance to design their dream playground! Design Day was a ton of fun and it was so cool seeing the kids fantasize about what they wanted in a playground. A pool! A stage! A rock climbing wall! Build day is August 30th...we will build the playground in one day! Impossible?! NAH!!! If you live in the Central PA area, come on out and lend a hand! Am Abend des 20. Novembers luden HORIZONT und Samsung in die Rote Bar, um jene Nachwuchskreativen, deren Arbeiten im Rahmen des zweiten Grafik-Design-Wettbewerbs besonders ins Auge gestochen sind, vor den Vorhang zu holen.
Die Fachjury, bestehend aus Reka Balinth (Samsung), Ilse Koinig (Flughafen Wien), Sebastian Loudon (HORIZONT/BESTSELLER), Franz Merlicek (D,M&B), Gilbert Park (Cheil) und Christian Retinger (Samsung), waren von zehn Ideen besonders angetan und wählten diese ins Finale. Doch wie es im Leben so ist, konnte auch in diesem Bewerb nur einer der Gewinner sein. Richard Haderer setzte sich mit seiner Interpretation des Themas "What color is your winter" gegen die Konkurrenz durch und darf sich nun über 3.000 Euro und darüber freuen, dass seine Arbeit ganze drei Monate in voller Größe am Vienna-Airport-Tower erstrahlen wird. Ein Millionenpublikum ist ihm dadurch sicher.
