by design is a site-specific work undertaken in the Gallery space at Midway Studios. The underlying concept of this piece is to deal with the space as it was and to focus on architectural moments such as the main fireplace. Signaling out of architectural features, such as the fireplace, hints at the history of the space before what it is. My project overlays another possibility lined to a temporal fantasy in the form of a contemporary design motive inspired from the IKEA catalogue.
