Yes , a shot taken from the hall at home through the open front door to this orange sight and taken for Saturday Self Challenge 05/10/2024 - Orange !!
I had already taken a shot of the Sainsburys Local sign as a shot for the " orange " challenge - that was until the delivery arrived and the driver parked his van across the front path leaving this image just waiting to be photographed - job done !!
And in the theme of Orange and a Supermarket - Tangerine Dream and Store Territory from Firestarter ( think there should be enough orange in there !! ) .
Just delivered from Donnybrook, a new addition to ever growing EV class at Clontarf Garage, starry starry night on route 42, EV 30 at the Portmarnock terminus.
Harristown EV 65 has also transferred this week.
Summer is seriously over now, there was a time this year that at 9 pm, this type of shot could have been still in daylight, but Autumn 2020 has closed in quickly, seasons change & so do photo styles.
Stay safe 2020.

Most of my shots from this night are heavily light polluted with headlights, unneccesarily bright flashlights and headlamps. A gas station is going in nearby, so excessively bright lights are likely to destroy dark sky night photography here, and in the area.
Between the expanding ground-based light pollution and thousands of low earth orbit satellites being launched, these are "the good old days" for night photography. Enjoy them while you can!

I had packed up my camera for the night, but I passed this alley on Fulton St. and loved the lighting so much that I had to go back to get a shot.
The Y106 crew is delivering a cut of boxcars loaded with wood boards for Wolverine Worldwide, the business that occupied this building at the time. They moved out not long after this, but the spur and dock are now used by Corvac, who receives hoppers of plastic pellets. This was the only time I ever caught them working Wolverine.

I didn't know they delivered sushi this late at night. Over on the left is one of my favorite ramen spots. Mita is bar on top of bar on top of pachinko on top of a bunch of ancient old snack shops and mysterious little clothing stores. The light emanating from everything at once, coupled with the rushing sound of pachinko makes for quite an intriguing atmosphere.
