While walking through 'The Lanes' in Brighton, I came became aware of a brewery delivery. The clanking of the metal barrels was echoing around the area and shattering the silence. This was just before 7am. The neighbours must love it.... 🤔

Rumour has it that Scrooge's offices were down this Lane just before the pub. If you look though the window you can see Bob Cratchet working away at his desk.....

Thanks for visiting.....

PS. I made the bit up about Scrooge

Heading down the Golden branch, C&S SD9 833 is shoving the two latest acquistions by the Colorado Railroad Museum toward their new home. Farthest away is C&S Rotary 99201, a Cooke product of 1899. On the flatcars is UP 0-6-0 4455 which was built by Lima in 1920. 4455 had been sold to the Monolith Portland Midwest Cement company in 1949 and operated at their plant until 1970. The loco was donated to CRRM in September 1972 and this photo was likely taken sometime during that or the next month. Both the rotary and the 0-6-0 would be stored on a short piece of track across from the museum until 2008 when they were finally moved onto museum property.

Well, tomorrow is Valentine's Day and many couples will be in a romantic mood; and if they are not careful, they may get a special delivery in about nine months. I always thought the story about storks delivering babies was a myth ... imagine my surprise seeing this wood stork at work! You would have that expression too if you were hanging on tight in the rain. Delray Beach, Florida, USA, January 2019

Unknown year delivery truck seen at the C&O Museum in Clifton Forge. Some research seems to indicate it may be a 1941, still not sure. If you know specifically... Not clear whether it will buff out or not.

Just the latest jigsaw completed , it has been one that was done in stages , so it has been about a year in the making. Bit of a nostalgic feel to this one but I am still working out what era —- 60s or 70s at a guess .
