I saw a stream of mopeds and cycles with food delivery bags/boxes streaming out of a trading estate in Woodford, so there's a dark kitchen somewhere on the site.
I've not seen this type of fat small wheeled electric bike before (there were several) but it seems to be a popular choice.
If you've not come across dark kitchens before here's an explanation:
“The spring came suddenly; the rains stopped, the days grew noticeably longer, and the afternoon light felt powdery, as if it might blow away.”
― Jane Mendelsohn
Taken @ Maderia Springs
Someone was more excited than me for the delivery. :)
“There's never been a true war that wasn't fought between two sets of people who were certain they were in the right. The really dangerous people believe they are doing whatever they are doing solely and only because it is without question the right thing to do. And that is what makes them dangerous.”
― Neil Gaiman, American Gods
Spring Delivery,
growing and stretching her arms
-- wide into the sun.
The tulips have unfolded and are stretching their way toward the warm light of Spring. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
A newly fledged Bald Eagle chick was seen whining while stranded on a branch of a tree (previous photo) when this mother bird brought a big fish to feed the chick. As she banked to adjust her approach to the tree she did take a quick glance at me when I took this photo. During the transfer of the fish, the chick didn't have a good grip and the fish fell to the forest floor; a good meal was wasted. However, a little later the papa bird brought a smaller fish and fed the baby. Happy Ending
La Br183-500 di RailAdventure è qui ripresa nei pressi di Breitenfurt (D), al traino di tre Br193 di Railpool fresche di consegna.
RailAdventure Br183-500 is seen here near Breitenfurt, Germany, whilst working a delivery run from München with three brand-new Railpool Br193s in tow.
The gas station in this pic is at a place called Woodside,we came across it on one of our road trips.lt looks like the reason it closed down is because a little way to the back of it was an lnterstate which must have sucked all the passing trade away from it .Such a shame.l have no idea if it is still standing .The tanker truck was in a town called Delta, it was in a lot with many other vehicles which looked like you could buy to renovate or, as in my case take pictures and make them up into other pictures.
Some more shots of the super puffins at Skomer Island. I have got so much editing to do and am totally bogged down so will upload a few more when I get round to editing them. I was delighted to get a shot of a puffin with sand eels in its beak . Didn't realise how hard it is to get this shot - they move so quickly!

St. Peter’s Square, Manchester, England; on the hottest day of the year so far……
Fast food delivery guys have now started using a different mode of transport here in Manchester; the ‘e-Scooter’. The 'e-Scooter' is a firm favourite with the Government, along with cycles and walking throughout the City Centres; during this unprecedented period of Coronavirus. New laws are in the making as to whether a helmet has to be worn or even if insurance if required, I’m sure both will become mandatory. Who knows, maybe even an MOT further down the line. From the look of this scooter the cost is around £440; way back in 1959 you could buy a Morris Mini-Minor car for £500; where do they get their prices from……lol. I wonder how many of these will get stolen?
This Royal tern parent was returning with a meal for its adult sized young who were not yet foraging on their own. It was fun to watch as the parent would often make several circles calling all throughout while waiting for his young to be in position to take the fish without it getting stolen. Sometimes a bird with a fish would land and due to others on the ground with its young it would take-off again waiting for a better delivery opportunity.
