Of course. Anyone who knows me knew to expect a B&W version of this natural wonder after the previous color upload. No? Here the sun is directly behind the arch. This is an HDR. I took four different exposures but ended up using just two.

Unfortunately, I dropped my external hard drive, and it didn't take it too well. :-( So, for a while at least, the photos I have available to process are relatively limited.

We have some bushes around our three-seasons room that are unremarkable most of the year. For a few weeks in late spring they have these lovely cascading white flowers. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Putting Delicate Arch in context, it is on the very right of this view, almost missable in all the other sandstone.

Delicate Arch is 60-foot-tall (18 m) freestanding natural arch located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah, USA.[1] It is the most widely recognized landmark in Arches National Park and is depicted on Utah license plates and on a postage stamp commemorating Utah's centennial anniversary of admission to the Union in 1996. The Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Olympics passed through the arch

It was great to make the trek to Delicate Arch in comfortable weather this time around. Last time was a little over 4 years ago and in summer heat.

We had the place almost to ourselves too and it was amazing to sit back and enjoy such an amazing place without a big crowd.

My friend bought a piece of wall art from a thrift shop and someone had stuck this leaf inside of the glass pane. How incredibly painted it is on an almost translucent leaf that looks as if it would crumble with even a delicate touch. :-)

This is the first time I have seen this kind of cosmos. The delicate pink color attracted my attention.

Week #3 (w/b 26 July) Delicate and/or Elegant - This month we've been a little messy so now we are looking to be delicate and maybe a little elegant. If like me that's a little difficult then what can we find that's delicate or elegant - china, porcelain or maybe some intricate baking!

Last night our group hiked up to Delicate Arch to watch the Moon set and also shoot the Milky Way. This was our students classroom setting for the night. I'm not sure about you, but I think it's quite a great place to learn and make new friends. I can't complain either because this office has the best view of any I've worked in so far. Mike Berenson and I plan our locations for our students so that they are in the best positions in the best locations to capture the best images possible. We look at everything from sunrise to sunset, moonrise to moonset, new moon or full moon and then we time it accordingly.

In this shot from left to right, looking in the sky you have Mars on the far left, Dark horse nebula right above the arch, See the horse legs as it looks like it's standing up? Antares is just to the right of the arch. Moon and Jupiter are in conjunction as you will see the small dot below the moon on the left, that's Jupiter and Arcturus is on the right. The Moon and Jupiter are in Libra. If you look at the sky tonight about 8:30pm Mountain time you will see the moon between Antares and Jupiter as they form a triangle.

Now I know why newborns are often called 'a bundle of joy'...They have an aura of positivity around them.

When you touch their delicate & tiny hands, the feeling is simply divine!

Watching them sleep, you realize that you are looking at 'pure' innocence.

All in all, when I see a newborn, Iam convinced that god hasn't given up on this world yet. He instills hope for a better tomorrow by sending these tiny angels to earth!
