Of course. Anyone who knows me knew to expect a B&W version of this natural wonder after the previous color upload. No? Here the sun is directly behind the arch. This is an HDR. I took four different exposures but ended up using just two.
Unfortunately, I dropped my external hard drive, and it didn't take it too well. :-( So, for a while at least, the photos I have available to process are relatively limited.

We have some bushes around our three-seasons room that are unremarkable most of the year. For a few weeks in late spring they have these lovely cascading white flowers. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
Putting Delicate Arch in context, it is on the very right of this view, almost missable in all the other sandstone.

The Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Olympics passed through the arch
This is a photo I took almost 9 months ago. I just wanted to try luminosity blends in CS5 and give a life to 3 RAW images. Here is the result.
It is a composite of three exposures, processed manually in CS5.
It was great to make the trek to Delicate Arch in comfortable weather this time around. Last time was a little over 4 years ago and in summer heat.
We had the place almost to ourselves too and it was amazing to sit back and enjoy such an amazing place without a big crowd.
This is the first time I have seen this kind of cosmos. The delicate pink color attracted my attention.
Week #3 (w/b 26 July) Delicate and/or Elegant - This month we've been a little messy so now we are looking to be delicate and maybe a little elegant. If like me that's a little difficult then what can we find that's delicate or elegant - china, porcelain or maybe some intricate baking!

Now I know why newborns are often called 'a bundle of joy'...They have an aura of positivity around them.
When you touch their delicate & tiny hands, the feeling is simply divine!
Watching them sleep, you realize that you are looking at 'pure' innocence.
All in all, when I see a newborn, Iam convinced that god hasn't given up on this world yet. He instills hope for a better tomorrow by sending these tiny angels to earth!

I had one shot in this pack left. I don't normally take pictures of anything remotely "morbid" but for some reason this kind of spoke to me of the delicate balance of life vs. death. These were probably bait fish of some sort for an early morning fishing trip and got bit off the line or discarded and the sea brought them back up to the shore. You see, the ocean doesn't need them, but wildlife on the beach feed on them and the circle of life continues. I was anxious about this shot because I thought I took the shot too late as the waves washed the fish back and forth along the beach, but to my delight (as odd as it may sound seeing as they are dead fish) I absolutely loved the end result.. the vibrant thrashing of the surf as it came in, the essence of life itself, against the palor of death with the fish. Ok.. too philosophical? apologies, haha.
