These little butterflies were very obliging and let me take many photos of them on my shasta daisies, before flying off.
Utah is a state in the Western United States. It became the 45th state admitted to the Union on January 4, 1896. Utah is the 13th largest, the 34th most populous, and the 10th least-densely populated of the 50 United States. Approximately 80% of Utah's 2,817,222 people live along the Wasatch Front, centering on Salt Lake City, leaving vast expanses of the state nearly uninhabited and making the population the sixth most urbanized in the U.S. Utah is bordered by Colorado on the east, Wyoming on the northeast, Idaho on the north, Arizona on the south, and Nevada on the west. It also touches a corner of New Mexico.

EXPLORED... sweet! ;D
I know I keep saying I've never seen anything like it but I don't think I could've even imagined these. From their amazing magenta coloured hats to those impossibly thin black stems, this was an incredible find.
After a 45 minute hike, in 32 degree temperatures, we arrived at Delicate Arch just before sunrise. It was a spectacular scene. The clouds weren't that great...in fact, they were high flat clouds that didn't allow the light of the the sun to come out in full force. I captured this image just as I was about to put my camera away. The sun came out for a moment, allowing me to capture the arch with its shadow.
We hiked like 45 mins to where the delicate arch located that day. The sun was blazing down the earth as you could notice from sunglasses they worn. Then I noticed these students. Their vitality made a different to the arch since most people just toke a rest within the shade of the arch.
- www.kevin-palmer.com - There wasn't a very good sunset on this evening at Arches National Park. Once a lot of the people cleared out I moved closer to Delicate Arch to capture a different perspective. This view shows the large bowl that lies below the arch.
I was captivated by this tiny little flower (approximately 2cm across) that was growing in my Mother-in-law's garden over the weekend. I thought it was gorgeous :)

Delicate Arch is a 65-foot (20 m) tall freestanding natural arch located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah, United States. It is the most widely-recognized landmark in Arches National Park and is depicted on Utah license plates and on a postage stamp commemorating Utah's centennial anniversary of statehood in 1996. The Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Olympics passed through the arch.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Prolific fall colors of several small big tooth maples are revealed here in a deep gulley in the Zion National Park's eastern section. Here I was attracted to the contrast of the trunks againist the sandstone cliffs and the delicate spray of color that accompanied it.
Also, check out my new blog entitled a Printmakers Thoughts...if you are interested in printing tips.
Thanks so much!!
