I think these butterflies look so delicate. It's taken me more than one visit to Butterfly World to get a half decent shot of one.
A view from Arches Nat'l Park seen over 1,700 times on Flickr. It was not surprising to see at least ten photographers all poised ready for sunset up here. What was surprising that they all braved the cold temperatures and the hike over a narrow trail covered in blue ice. This place is amazing. After waiting for sundown, the hike down in the dark was a splendid adventure in its own right.
We hiked like 45 mins to where the delicate arch located that day. The sun was blazing down the earth as you could notice from sunglasses they worn. Then I noticed these students. Their vitality made a different to the arch since most people just toke a rest within the shade of the arch.

SOOC light painting, Delicate Arch in Arches National Park (Utah, USA). Space writing by Tyler Hampton.
Panorama shot as sunraise. Beautiful scenery up there, just amazing. Have a look at the other Delicate Arch pic in my stream to get the story behind it (if interested ;-) )
We might kiss when we are alone
When nobody's watching
We might take it home
We might make out when nobody's there
It's not that we're scared
It's just that it's delicate.

Whatever we do lays a seed in our deepest consciousness, and one day that seed will grow.

Golden hour shot from Arches National Park. Moab, Utah. I was lucky enough to snap this shot just as the sun peeked through the clouds, and in between tourists walking under the arch. Timing is everything and it was definitely worth hanging out for a few hours for that perfect moment.
Day 6 or our western adventure. We spent our morning at Arches National Park hiking the mile trail through 110 degree heat to world-famous Delicate Arch, carved by wind in red sandstone and featured on license plates and other touristy items. Look closely, for instance, at the "Welcome to Utah" sign in one of my previous photos, and you'll see this arch.
Something you must have seen there. As we heard that it is very crowded during sunset we decided to go there for sunrise. Got up at 4:30am and went there from Moab, headlamps on and up the "mountain". Except the mosquitoes it was spectacular. Only 3 other people were there. After the sunrise we enjoyed breakfast up there and defeated our muffins against a squirrel gang. Absolutely worth it :-)
This is my shot of the trip

I think this might be the Red-spotted Delicate (Epicyme rubropunctaria). Seen at the Central Tablelands, New south Wales. Happy Moth Monday everyone! I hope the week has been off to a good start for all of you. :)
I'm carefully sharpening the lead, not the wood.
The Flickr Friday group theme for this week is Delicate.
Beautiful tiny clusters of flowers.
This type of beauty is all around us, if..... we will just take a moment to look around.
I think this is Small Bullwort (Ammoides Pusilla) .
I'm back from Maine and beginning to recover. Thank you all my Flickr friends for your kind thoughts and prayers. The day I found Flickr was a lucky one for me. I had no idea what a kind and caring community I had just found.
