Humility is the noble choice to forgo your status, deploy your resources or use your influence for the good of others before yourself.

“Unless we are very, very careful, we doom each other by holding onto images of one another based on preconceptions that are in turn based on indifference to what is other than ourselves. This indifference can be, in its extreme, a form of murder and seems to me a rather common phenomenon. We claim autonomy for ourselves and forget that in so doing we can fall into the tyranny of defining other people as we would like them to be. By focusing on what we choose to acknowledge in them, we impose an insidious control on them. I notice that I have to pay careful attention in order to listen to others with an openness that allows them to be as they are, or as they think themselves to be. The shutters of my mind habitually flip open and click shut, and these little snaps form into patterns I arrange for myself. The opposite of this inattention is love, is the honoring of others in a way that grants them the grace of their own autonomy and allows mutual discovery.”

How do we define front and back side of a tessellation..?? Is it the one which is more beautiful or the one which we started to fold for..?
Whatever the answer may be I'm very confused regarding this one. I have actually started to fold for the side A in the foto and when I turned it around, Voila! There's a more beauty on the other side too..!!!
Who says beauty is only paper-thick(:P)?
I made this from the pyramid. I made it expand outwards in the edges and now it's like this.
Any suggestions for the title...??

This was my first father's day that felt like a father's day. Last year, Kaylee was just a pud and Heather and I were probably exhausted. But this year was different. This year Heather somehow got Kaylee to say "Hap-pee da-da-dee". Kaylee also got me a little card with her first crayon drawing and a whole sack of apple for me and her to share.
This is how I define my happiness. You have to surround yourself with who you love, do what you love and love what life brings to you. I'm sure I can find a dozen things to complain about in my life, but when it comes down to it, none of that matters. None of the imperfect aspects mean anything when you embrace the good parts. Everyone will define they're happiness in life in different ways. The most important part is that you really acknowledge what that is and hold on to it.
Today, start on the path to define yourself. This never happens overnight, nor is it an easy road. But the more you focus on true happiness, the more you'll spread it to the rest of the world.

I seem to be doing this a lot lately with everything. Defining everything and analyzing. This photo in particular is doing it now. Never again (maybe) will I post a face on shot. I hate it. I don't know why I am posting it now. I have the most asymmetrical face and I start studying every feature. I'm in the slumps, facing everything that comes my way. I just found out from my mother two nights ago that one of my dogs has lymphoma, a type of cancer. This is the second time we've gone through this, and it's no easier. Luckily in his case they say he has a good chance of going into remission. I pray he gets well NOW. I'm so attached to animals, my babies, and wish they could live happily forever. If only.
Going to bed now, goodnight.

The first commercial for Defining Moments, an eight week sermon series starting September 7, 2008 at Christ Community Church.
Your destiny is more than mere survival: eat, sleep, work. Break out of the monotony and seize the moment God has defined for you.
Explore the thread of God's presence woven into the fabric of everyday life, the opportunities to be grasped if only you will see them. On Sunday mornings Christ Community Church will examine two Hebrew prophets who broke out of their mundane existence and lived life the way that it was meant to be. Elijah and Elisha defied evil kings, called down fire from Heaven, brought rain in a season of drought and saw God at work around every corner.

Saturday's PKSA Karate Tournament offered up a variety of events - one being power breaking, which offers significant strategy. You must break what you say you are going to break, AND break more than anyone else. It's always a very intriguing event to watch. This was a series of 4 separate photos, each enhanced and cropped to see the action. See the originals below.
The Bosphorus (/ˈbɒsfərəs/) or Bosporus (/ˈbɒspərəs/; Ancient Greek: Βόσπορος, Bósporos; Turkish: Boğaziçi) is a strait that forms part of the boundary between Europe and Asia. The Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara, and the Dardanelles strait to the southwest together form the Turkish Straits. The world's narrowest strait used for international navigation, the Bosporus connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara (which is connected by the Dardanelles to the Aegean Sea, and thereby to the Mediterranean Sea.)
The limits of the Bosphorus are defined as the connecting line between the lighthouses Rumeli Feneri and Anadolu Feneri in the north and between the Ahırkapı Feneri and the Kadıköy İnciburnu Feneri in the south. Between the limits, the strait is 31 km (17 nmi) long, with a width of 3,329 m (1.798 nmi) at the northern entrance and 2,826 m (1.526 nmi) at the southern entrance. Its maximum width is 3,420 m (1.85 nmi) between Umuryeri and Büyükdere Limanı, and minimum width 700 m (0.38 nmi) between Kandilli Point and Aşiyan.
The depth of the Bosphorus varies from 13 to 110 m (43 to 361 ft) in midstream with an average of 65 m (213 ft). The deepest location is between Kandilli and Bebek with 110 m (360 ft). The most shallow locations are off Kadıköy İnciburnu on the northward route with 18 m (59 ft) and off Aşiyan Point on the southward route with 13 m (43 ft). The Golden Horn is an estuary off the main straits that acted as a moat to protect Old Istanbul from attack, as well as providing a sheltered anchorage for the imperial navy until the 19th century.
Most of the shores of the strait are heavily populated, straddled as it is by the city of Istanbul (with a metropolitan area population in excess of 17 million inhabitants) which extends inland from both coasts.
It has been known since before the 20th century that the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara flow into each other in an example of a density flow and in August 2010 a continuous 'underwater channel' of suspension composition was discovered to flow along the floor of the Bosphorus which would be the sixth largest river on Earth if it were to be on land. The study of the water and wind erosion of the straits relates to that of its formation. Sections of the shore have been reinforced with concrete or rubble and sections of the strait prone to deposition are periodically dredged.
I started collecting dutch rappers in the hopes of making something along this line. In about 7 months I had collected over 300 Dutch wrappers and began drawing the design on a poster board, using the wrappers design and Rembrants origional masterpiece as a referance. Around this time I was assigned to make a persuasive speach on the topic of my choice, and I choose weed. I showed my artwork which had taken over 30 hours of cutting the wrappers and pasting with rubber cement. I got the best grade in the class, even beating out the saluditorian who had an average over 100. I finished the peice in college by putting the dutch leaves as the backround, but I gave the speach and had "used" all the dutch wrappers before I turned 18. I am currently am trying to put my design on t shirts so let my boy jhex know if you think its ill.

The sea looked like it had been outlined with blue felt tip this morning. Looks like Wales's run of good weather is done for now....
Had quite a restful day, which was lovely - though we did get all the Christmas stuff down from the loft and I had fun decorating our new house. The cheap old 2' Christmas tree looks surprisingly good against our new blue living room wall! (We might upgrade at some point, but I'm too tight to buy one full price, so aiming to find one in the New Year sales.)
