Sam the rockstar-this was taken in the middle of the road down in Deep Ellum. An amazing place to photograph people.

Deep Ellum, Dallas, Nov 2014

Found this leaving the Dallas Area Meetup of Flickr users in Deep Ellum.

I didn't get to explore all I wanted to, but I need someone who knows where they are going and is patient while I take photos of EVERYTHING. I must go back to the Deep Ellum Brewery for more Dallas Blonde too.

So much artistry!!!

February 18

I turned 27 today, but don't worry. It was amazing!

My dad rang the doorbell at home before I had even finished walking in the door. Mom had been hanging out in Dallas all day with Treva and Terresa Westmoreland, who is in town for a little while.

Everyone met up at our place before popping out for birthday dinner and Snarky Puppy at Prophet Bar. HG SPLY Co. had a 45min wait, so we wandered down to Company Cafe instead. There was no wait there, and the food was delish!

It turned out that Snarky Puppy wasn't playing on the same stage they did last year. I guess it's technically still the Prophet Bar, but it was actually The Door on the backside of Prophet Bar's building. The line was out the door, down the block, and around the corner. There must've been over1200 people there. It was SO GOOD.

Magda kicked off the show, and of course she was already crying after the first tune. The band performed amazingly, I got to hang out with the guys, I saw Eric and his wife, and Rachel and Jon even came to the show! It was a late night, but I had the best time. ]

Seriously, look at this. Cory Henry played a freaking KEYTAR solo, and it was brainpoppingly great.

The Union Bankers Building was once the home of The Knights of Pythias Temple, but now sits abandoned with no future plans to be restored.

The front facade of Deep Ellum, a small but very cozy pub in Boston, Massachusetts.

The pub is located in the Allston district, near the intersection of Cambridge St and Brighton Ave, and offers 28 draft beers and about 80 types on bottle. All of high quality. And they're famous for their Deviled Eggs.

Found this building in Deep Ellum at our local flickr Meetup. Love the bricks and the design of this old building. Is that someone in the window?
