The Union Bankers Building was once the home of The Knights of Pythias Temple, but now sits abandoned with no future plans to be restored.

The front facade of Deep Ellum, a small but very cozy pub in Boston, Massachusetts.
The pub is located in the Allston district, near the intersection of Cambridge St and Brighton Ave, and offers 28 draft beers and about 80 types on bottle. All of high quality. And they're famous for their Deviled Eggs.

(July 25, 2013) Quarter, no worse for the ware, exits Deep Ellum. Fine, superfine brews here. And good folk.

I've got two pieces in the Birds, Cats & Skulls exhibit at Kettle Art gallery. The exhibit opens Thursday evening. I'll be at the open. Runs through May 6.
Once again the Invasion Car in Deep Ellum happend on Labor Day Weekend (Saturday). But this year it was 106 degrees at the high for day.

Changes are coming now the question How much will be knocked down to bring life to back to Deep Ellum. Deep Ellum has a ton of old building that are not historically protected. In 2007 six building and a tunnel in Deep ellum built in 1931 have fallen prey to change.
This one was in front of Club Europa.On December 13, 2007 I learned Club Europa above and club One were denied their specific use permits. so those clubs are history.
Not sure about the fate of the buildings at this point.
