I enjoyed Deep Ellum back in the late 80's and early 90's and now I am enjoying its renaissance.

An explosion blew off a manhole cover and released some "green gas" according to the folks at Murray Street Coffee Shop. Sounds like they needed to call the Ghost Busters.

The Mimosa has sausage egg and cheese sandwich, tater tots, fresh fruit and a cinnamon bun. The Bloody Mary sports a bacon cheese slider, shrimp, asparagus, cured meat, an onion ring and olives AND a starer PBR beer. #deepellum
I didn't get to explore all I wanted to, but I need someone who knows where they are going and is patient while I take photos of EVERYTHING. I must go back to the Deep Ellum Brewery for more Dallas Blonde too.

Once again the Invasion Car in Deep Ellum happend on Labor Day Weekend (Saturday). But this year it was 106 degrees at the high for day.

I've been been wanting to paint a mural for awhile so I offered and Jessica Jordan (SYP/The Polyphonic Spree) took a risk! So with the help of my homie, Rand Renfrow, We painted our first mural on Saturday! It was a great experience and I was especially blown away by the gracious hospitality of the Jordan family. (I even snuck in some Wii with their two awesome sons)
Also, I took loads of process photos and compiled them into this almost time lapse video
Wade Griffiths (also known as "Fixed Image" here on Flickr) is the man with the ancient Poloraid in this shot.
The lady on the wall was a magnet for all the photographers at the recent Dallas Area Meetup (DAM) get together in Deep Ellum this past weekend...
This is painted on a bridge in the Deep Ellum part of Dallas Texas. They're about to tear it all down for a light rail line.
