Speakers at the community celebration — emceed by ODOT Area Manager Frannie Brindle (standing) — included Oregon Rep. Nancy Nathanson, the mayors of Eugene and Springfield, and Kalapuya elder Esther Stutzman, among others. The ceremony commemorated the completion of the landmark bridge and honored the Eugene and Springfield communities for their involvement and support throughout the bridge’s construction.

Berlin is the european capital of vegetarianism and bio, you can see shops proning those all over the town. Being Vegan is already some kind of commitment for me, and some people are ready to marry it apparently.

President Bill Clinton, and Sen. Dale Bumpers during the cornerstone dedication ceremony for the Dale and Betty Bumpers Vaccine Research Center on June 9, 1999. In his speech, President Clinton praised the Bumpers by saying "It is entirely fitting that today we dedicate this state-of-the-art facility to them. They are two great Americans."
Yesterday was a special day for several new homeowners in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood of Baltimore. For many years, teachers from my school have been in partnership with two churches as volunteers with Sandtown Habitat for Humanity. This was the seventh house we have rebuilt and dedicated since 2006. It is always an intensely moving experience to witness these dedications, and this was even more so. The woman moving into this house is a daughter of the family that owns the very first house we did. They had moved to Baltimore from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina had destroyed everything they owned in 2005.
Here's a peek view of a refurbished habitat house. This home is three stories with three bedrooms.

You would just have to see like I have, the hours that this man has spent plowing his large farm this past week. Every single time I've been past there, he's been out. One day his daughter had a two horse team, helping him.

Prior to the board of trustees meeting, a brief dedication ceremony was held for the new amphitheater and Legacy Walk in the University of Central Arkansas. The amphitheater has become a centerpiece for the campus, featuring a walk inscribed with the names of alumni who have purchased commemorative bricks.

On my way to the BART station after work, I had the sudden urge to take pictures, so I whipped out my ol' point-and-shoot and fired away. I probably wouldn't have done this if I had only my DSLR with me because I wouldn't want to deal with the hassle of keeping my camera dry. My p&s is already banged up and not fully functional anyway. ;)
Those of you who frequent downtown San Francisco should be able to recognize the bright yellow "JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU" sign. Although I'm an atheist, I admire the man's dedication to delivering his sweet and simple message. Plus he's not offensive, unlike the "No Sex" guy.
