As the storm approached, I took a quick shot of the view looking east from the end of the bridge at Deception Pass State Park. Within moments, the clouds had moved in and it was snowing so hard, we couldn't see the water at all.

He may have got the month wrong but the waterways in the Northwest are definitely "singing" as they overflow with the spring snow melt and and recent rains.
I spent several enjoyable hours exploring and photographing at Deception Creek Fall Recreation Area on US Route 2 near Stevens Pass.
Deception Creek crashes over a third right-angle drop and this time of year it has a huge volume, speed and force. The five kayakers I described in the previous image decide to bypass this rapids too.
