Day 5: Deception Pass is a narrow, turbulent, and beautiful channel separating Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands in the Puget Sound. The bridge is a bit hairy to bike over, but offers great views. There's also a nice State Park at the pass.

We were driving over Deception Pass Monday afternoon. The water was so green, I just had to try to catch it with my camera. I was worried the colors wouldn't look as good as when I viewed it with my eyes. I did get a few great shots:~)

I would usually photograph these falls with a slow shutter speed, however, I decided to capture the mighty spring runoff with a faster shutter to freeze the action. I certainly would not want to fall in!!
