Operation Photo Butt Kick: What Are You Thankful For
I'm thankful that when I walked into work today sporting my brand new short and saucy haircut, no one pointed and laughed!
It's been about 15 years since I've had it this short, and it's been about never that I've worn it down for a full day. I had gotten really bored of my old "style" (i.e. just pulling it back into a ponytail or braid and then forgetting about it) so, with some encouragement from Schnookie, I decided to try getting it cut short enough to just pull back if need be. I lost about six inches (which the stylist cut off in one big chunk so that she could give it to the stylists-in-training for coloring practice -- I guess they don't get much hair that's never, ever been treated with any chemicals of any kind) and I feel lighter, sleeker, and kickier for it!
One weird note, though, was that one co-worker said the cut took ten years off me. Am I so old that I need ten years taken off?!?!

We've been duking it out with the Germans for days and things are not getting better. Just about all supplies have been cut off and Ammo is dwindling. Local resistance groups have tried to help but they're in greater danger than we are. Orders have come down to tell us that all medical supplies are to be used for U.S. personnel only, Not that we have any. We're using German rifles and spare fabric for stretchers. CPL. It always amazes me to watch the waves slowly wash in to the shore. This was during the last full moon, and it was just a bit nippy. Only -4 c* and the ice had begun to form along the edge. As we sat there the opening to the inlet started to enlarge. I decided to do a series of 30, 8 sec shots ISO 800 F4. to show the moon reflecting on the waves.

I wore my mother's old skirt, hemmed to a preferable length. The blouse is actually a summer dress- much too sheer to be worn in the wintertime!
