Dating from the 14th century as a defensive Pele tower, Borwick Hall was extended into a large manor house at the end of the 16th century. It is now a residential outward bound and conference centre owned by Lancashire County Council. On this day, I also brought my Debonair 120, loaded with a precious roll of Kodak Ektar. And I just figured out why this roll was blank. I forgot to remove the lens cap. The lab gave me a credit for the next roll, but drats! Ektar. 😭
These Date Palms were planted by somebody at least 50-70 years ago. There are other Date Palms a few miles away near an old farm & House. Plus there is an old corral near the far end of this photo, so they may have been planted by the rancher who built the corral? Just above the second Date Palm on top of the red rock formation there is a new one, about 2 feet tall, growing out of about a 1/2" of soil into the rock formation. I took a photo of it and it came out good, but have never posted it.
