Here is a custom LEGO LAAT/i Republic Gunship I have worked on throughout the years. A very popular CLONE WARS vehicle seen in multiple episodes of the Clone Wars show and in the prequel films. I only used pieces from my collection, not a single piece was bought specifically for this build. Hope you enjoy it and inspired by it, I challenge you to create your own gunship!

Now, something to read about Darth Maul.

Darth Maul was a weapon forged by the hateful energies of the dark side to ensure the victory of the Sith over the Jedi order. A creature of pure evil, Maul had no personality beyond his ultimate devotion to his master, Darth Sidious. His goal was singular -- to exact vengeance upon the Jedi for the decimation of the Sith ranks.

The Republic first came to know of Maul only as a mysterious attacker. While Qui-Gon Jinn was escorting the fugitive Queen Amidala from Tatooine to Coruscant, Darth Maul swept down from above, lunging at Qui-Gon from his rocketing Sith speeder. Maul's attack was relentless; he hammered down lightsaber strikes against the accomplished Jedi Master, forcing him back time and again. It was only the timely interception of Qui-Gon by the Queen's Royal Starship that spared him.

Qui-Gon was utterly surprised and unprepared for such an attack. The Sith, everyone knew, were extinct, disappeared from the galaxy for a millennium. Yet the evidence was there -- a dark attacker, trained in the Jedi arts, brandishing a lightsaber no less.

Maul was dispatched by Darth Sidious to track down the Queen, a feat he accomplished through mysterious yet effective means. Traveling aboard his sleek Sith Infiltrator, Maul scouted the galaxy for the missing monarch, and reported his findings to his master. When Amidala returned to Naboo, Maul was there, waiting to face the Jedi once more.

As an undeniable example of his skill and devotion, Maul plunged headlong into battle against two Jedi warriors. Using his double-bladed lightsaber, Maul held off both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn in the heart of the Theed Royal Palace. When the Jedi became separated, Maul killed Qui-Gon with a well-placed saber strike. Kenobi, enraged, attacked Maul. This barrage was deflected by Maul who used Obi-Wan's touching of the dark side as a conduit for a Force attack; using the Force, Maul pushed Obi-Wan into a deep mining pit. Kenobi held onto an outcropping for dear life. Calming himself by calling upon the light side of the Force, Kenobi was able to surprise Maul, and cleave him in half with his saber.

A pained look of bewilderment crossed Maul's tattooed face as death overtook him. His body fell into the melting pit, splitting in two as it tumbled into oblivion.

It was only a matter of time before Sidious acquired a new apprentice.

The epic fight of Season 5.

I am still considering doing some sort of vignette, it's just I like the idea more in my head than in physical form.

All the figures are customized, and only Maul uses some non-purism for his torso via construction paper.

I was passing the charity shop today and decided to pop in to see the” 50c basket”. It’s a basket full of interesting little goodies. There was nothing interesting today until I noticed “the horns and red head. He was staring at me and I could hear him saying : “Jedi! I have been waiting for you!”

I couldn’t leave him there, now he is my camera buddy and protector

Formerly Darth... Now just Maul...

It's small because I had to make it quickly with my 8mp webcam...

I really enjoyed the last episode of season 2. Looking forward for S3.

I knew it was about to rain, so since I was loitering around The Great Movie Ride for reasons, I decided to grab a few shots of the Star Wars cast walking out from their little fashion show at the stage. Darth Maul happened to realize I was focused on him and I ended up with this.

Now, obviously, the background isn't what is at GMR. But I just absolutely hated all of the background clutter. So I took a backdrop I have on my computer from OnOne and composited the two.

Mr Maul is none too pleased...

i dedicate this selective color photo to the two people who love it more than me... herobyday and soupyb!

In Memory of our friend Jason, also known here on Flickr as The mofoJT, who left his loved ones in deep mourning on Tuesday. I never met him in person, but that doesn't matter. He was a friend. He will be sorely missed and my heart goes out to his wife, his children, and all his family and friends who now have a hole left in their hearts where Jason should be.

May you rest in peace, my friend.

What qualifications have you?

I have had a very good day today... I passed another module at university and got a new job (promotion). But this evening has turned rubbish! I suddenly realise I have dust on my sensor - nothing life threatening but still - you don't want dust on your sensor... and I've also realised how bad at lighting I really am. There shouldn't be shadows in this photo, but there is, I should have used white paper, but I didn't (some reason I wanted to use a light girly pink?!). Hot lights heat my room up, which heats me up, and I get stressed out when I'm hot so this 'shoot' turned into a bit of a stress out and a stroppy Chris.

This photo came out ok, but it could/should be so much better.

Heute endlich die Schminkaktion, auf die ich mich schon eine Weile gefreut habe: der Darth-Maul-Look!

Lego Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace 3D

Just some photos of the ships now that I’ve built one, and sprayed the Nubian silver! It’s a simple vinyl dye, the kind of paint you use on fake leather car upholstery, but it soaks into the Lego and gives a durable finish. I wish I’d remembered to spray the N1 Starfighter before I ran out of paint, maybe next time. Instructions for the Nubian, Infiltrator and N1 are on Rebrickable... rebrickable.com/users/ron_mcphatty/mocs/

The final showdown between famous rivals, inspired by the Star Wars Rebels episode "Twin Suns." Yes, that’s a real sunset.
