A quick idea I had for that day's shot, which was (obviously) taken inside due to lack of snow, sun, daylight, make your pick. ;)
The results, in case they aren't clear:
3rd Place -> The small clown; he got the colors kinda right, but...
2nd Place -> Darth Maul; very nice and fitting outfit, colors are correct, unfortunately there was something odd about him...
1st Place -> Yoda! The size wasn't really correct, but it doesn't matter. The outfit was lacking something as well, but it's Star Wars, so the good guys always win.
... The un-Flickr Worthy somehow makes it to Flickr. ;)
For starters, this picture was SEVERELY cropped. Hence, the crappy resolution. And probably would've been oh-so-bad-@$$ with the proper zoom lens. But yet another taste of how hectic it can get. Yes, that whole area is packed with people.
I hope I'm not trying to scare anyone off from attending, if you already had plans to go. Just cautioning you to not be late or "on-time" for events. Be Early!!!!! Heck, if you play it right, you don't even have to be real early; just be smart/lucky about making your way around.

The Darksaber is a unique and ancient lightsaber built by the first Mandalorian to become a Jedi. The blade has a few interesting properties: It has a black core as opposed to a white one, it's more sword shaped, it crackles with light, and it's a bit shorter than a regular lightsaber blade.
The Darksaber first appeared in the TV show Star Wars The Clone Wars, and has been an important part of the more recent episodes of Star Wars Rebels. Despite the fact that it's the same weapon in both shows, the Rebels version (which my MOC is based on) is quite a bit more detailed than the Clone Wars version.
The MOC is strong enough that I can hold it at any angle without any issue, and I can swing it around moderately without it breaking.
"And then I pinched my fingers really tight from, like, 5 feet away," Darth Vader quipped. "And all of a sudden, that big Death Star of a zit on that kid's forehead just went POP! The puss was just dripping down his nose. It was disgusting and, of course, I was the hit of the schoolyard for a month."
"Hehehehe, dude!" laughed Darth Maul maniacally.

Just some photos of the ships now that I’ve built one, and sprayed the Nubian silver! It’s a simple vinyl dye, the kind of paint you use on fake leather car upholstery, but it soaks into the Lego and gives a durable finish. I wish I’d remembered to spray the N1 Starfighter before I ran out of paint, maybe next time. These are pictures of various Cosplayers from Day 2 of Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downtown LA. All shot on Canon 5DM2 with a Canon 24-70mm Lens.

This little group started with the modified TIE Bomber. I added surface detail to this ship as well as a more interesting bomb loading and dropping mechanism and space for the gonk droid in the pilot-side of the hull. The TIE Fighter and Vader's TIE Advanced are built to match the proportions and scale of the Bomber, using the same cockpit style. They can be built invididually but my intention was that they're a modification of the Bomber set, with only £10 of extra parts needed in addition to 75347.
I've never been a huge Darth Maul fan, simply because his creator didn't see fit to give him enough screen time to decide whether you liked the character or not.
But now this is my second Maul toy - my first being a Mighty Maul Mugg - and, well, I bought this fig because he looked cool, all shirtless and ripped in his skirt and tattoos.
I told him this.
"Maul," I said, "I love your skirt."
"This is NOT a skirt," he retorted with quite an attitude. "This is a Kilt of the Psychedelic Siths."
"Whatever you say, Maul. Just remember, you don't have any hair to hold a door."
I think someone's been in the Boosh discs already, and I'm beginning to adore this little guy very quickly.
