Maul is full of surprises. And soft acoustic jams.
He's widely acclaimed for his song "The Wreck of the Sith Infiltrator."

It might not be a very faithful rendition, but I always wanted to build this scene. Also, it feels good to be building some Star Wars stuff again. Stay tuned for another build coming soon.
This image is re-heated version of the photo titled as Wookie Needs a Tree, which I posted here November 28, 2012.
It's been an eternity, but still remember the version with the Wookiee very well. It was one of those pictures that got a lot of attention in a short period of time. I was quite taken of it! What has changed since then is the fact that I do not use colored paper as a background, that dominates the the image such a seemingly large way. But, who knows, maybe one day I will come back to the square one.
Anyway, enough of chit chat. Here's a new version with Darth Maul for all you guys and gals out there with the upcoming holidays in mind!
This is my entire (with the exception of 3 plastic ships and an Airfix model of Anakin's podracer) collection of SW stuff.
I fed the images into Autostitch, but it distorted the bottom of the image too much, so I did this. I know it's not perfect, but it gets the job done.
This includes all my posters, books, magazines, figures, ships, cards, records, videos, DVDs, CDs, toys and anything else that is SW-related.
It took a while, and I had to clear off everything else that was in the way, and I could barely move around in the space that was left.
I've added notes to mention most of the stuff. Things that there are a lot of (figures, books, etc) I've left out.
Also, please check out the full size (9999 x 5663) version to get a better look at everything.
I took some liberties with this shot from the Star Wars Rebels Midseason trailer, but I just couldn't help it. Obi-Wan potentially facing off against Darth Maul was just too good to pass up.
Rebels has made Maul into a much more interesting character than Episode 1 ever allowed. I have a feeling there is going to be much more to this scene than a lightsaber battle. Can't wait.
The scene itself went through numerous build iterations until settling upon what you see above. Though the campfire is super subtle, it proved to be an immense pain in the ass to put it together. Hope you like.
Thanks for looking, and be sure to tune into Rebels every Saturday on Disney XD.... at least I think that's where/when it airs. I just watch it on iTunes since we don't have cable :)
Darth Maul. An old villain from The Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
Previously in this series: Kylo Ren Movie Frame.
I've never been into photographing anything from the prequels. I've been more into old-school trilogy myself, but today I'm making a little exception to my rule. I've couldn't just resist to leave this on the shop!

You better be nice...santa's on his way...
If anyone is interested, I have posted free (3D) instructions for the chibi AT-AT on the Brixtar app. Merry christmas everyone :)
"Die Jedi, Die." Darth Maul.
I'm back after a long hiatus. I guess it can't be helped. I was down with Swine Flu and after that, I had like this creative block for the longest time. It feels like forever, more details can be found in my blog.
Anyway, I'm back but still not yet ready for an outing. So I guess I'd have to stay at home for a while and get used to making great photos again.

here is that darth maul figure robert gave me. his battery was dead when robert passed him on to me, so i have yet to hear him talk. he's been hanging out at my desk since robert gave him to me, so he can't do much talking without disturbing my cubie mates anyway.
The crime lord is recording the daily collected ransoms when he hears blaster fire.
“Damn henchmen! Why do they have to kill prisoners outside his office? I need silence to work in this stuff!” He thinks.
“Hey there! Go killing those idiots in an other room! I have work to do!” He yells.
Suddenly the blaster fire and the screams stop.
“Fine! At least they listen at their boss” He says to himself but before he can resume the “accounting” an unseen force breaks through the door throwing him on the floor.
He looks up and a Zabrak clad in black robes stands over him, his red eyes staring down at him.
“Listen…it wasn’t my fault, ok? I…I didn’t want to betray your master…I hhaave to ffolow orders too. You hear me? Please..”
The Zabrak ignites his double-bladed Lightsaber and ends the crime lord’s begging with a swift movement of his red blades.
Yesterday I was looking at what I call the “historic section” of my collection, the fancy name for my very old collectibles lol , when I saw this Darth Maul statue made by Gentle Giant :) If I remember correctly it’s about 10 years old :)
I hope you like this photo :)
May the Force be with You :)
Welp... First actual post in like a year. I just rewatched Solo, and decided to make the leaders of the Crimson Dawn syndicate: Dryden Vos and Maul.

“Fear. Fear attracts the fearful. The strong. The weak. The innocent. The corrupt. Fear. Fear is my ally.”
I have to say I'm very impressed with the quality of my little friend Darth Maul here.
This particular shot was a proving shot, I get a bunch of people telling me that I can't get a shallow dof with a micro 4/3 camera, I pretty much think this shows that it can and it can do a damned fine job of it too!
Lighting on this was three lights, to camera right a red gelled softbox, to camera left a blue gelled softbox, and finally above and behind the shot a white snooted speedlite.
Just came in from seeing "Clone Wars" and had this idea for my 365. Didn't really come out like I wanted to but the wife is calling me to bed. Check out the original.
ps: I enjoyed "Clone Wars" and so did Me-saj even though it was a cartoon or animated. It was much better than that flick they are calling Batman!
